Little known factoids:

Many airmen during WWII died of farts.

yeah, you read that correctly...

Ascending to 20,000 feet in an unpressurized aircraft caused methane gas in the intestines to expand 300%.

Talk about getting the BENDS!

I have seen this effect myself while I was driving cross country freight hauling. If I had an unopened bag of Potato Chips, (purchased at a lower altitude) the bag would swell and burst open when crossing over mountains.

Germany only declared war on one country during WW2...The United States.

The Japanese Army had a unique way of destroying tanks... A heavy artillery shell would be buried, leaving only the tip exposed. When a tank came close enough, a soldier would strike the shell with a hammer.

It seems the commanding officer did not consider "lack of equipment" an excuse for losing a battle.

The only cadet,to date, to graduate from West Point without a single demerit was.....

Robert E. Lee

I live in the mountains and a lot of packaged foods suffer from this problem. Not that they burst a lot, but the packages are definitely "busting at the seams" and look like those heavily inflated mylar balloons.
