Kalshion Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 After some thinking I've decided to try for college (I know, rather late, but I've been busy with the military and whatnot) ITT Tech here has some things to occur, but there still not what I would chose. My preferess is a Catholic or Luthern College, but.... The problem is that I'm having a real hard time trying to find a Catholic or Luthern college near my area that's actually cost effective I know a lot of people here have gone to college, in fact, it doesn't even NEED to be a religious college (I prefer it, but it doesn't really need to be) I plan on going into teaching (I'm sure Jag's going to say: Good Luck ) but also into Security and Computer Tech Anyone have any idea's they could throw my way please? Or suggestions on colleges? Spent two weeks searching but I feel I'm missing something
Captain McMahon Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 Go to Facebook.com They got a list of all the colleges on that are in their system and that's a BIG list. Search those names and look up any information you need.
Captain McMahon Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 Hey I just found a few links that could help as well: http://www.schoolguides.com/ http://www.edref.com/ Good luck, Kal! I'm sure you will do well anywhere.
Marvin Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 Check out local establishments first. Nevada has a pretty good community college system, especially for those residing in-state. You can get an associate degree and the credits are usually transferable to university level. The key to higher education isn't necessarily going to a well-known school. People with degrees from Mexico and India are snatching up a lot of really good jobs in the U.S. If all your classes at Harvard are taught by teacher's aids, you're better off at a smaller school where the instructors who do their own teaching have professional experience and/or connections in the field. In the computer business, equipment is important. Microsoft supplies most of its latest software and a lot of new hardware to community colleges in northen Nevada ... and the Microsoft bus will be parked at WNCC later this month. Check for similar deals in Las Vegas before you go wandering into Oklahoma.
Eclipse Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 the two religious colleges I'm familiar with (read fundamental christian) are Pensacola Christian College... and Bob Jones University BJ is pretty good interms of education but its got more rules than the army and a few other quirks...
