Cruis. In Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14379566/?GT1=8404 I remember that from when I was a kid. I guess you guys saw it already, it was just a big blast from the past for me.
Guest Grayfox Posted August 18, 2006 Report Posted August 18, 2006 Now theres this maybe hes looking for attention?
echo Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 It is sooo sad, I don't think we will ever learn what happened to that poor little girl.
Darkling Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 Part of the problem is that the early investigators NEVER tried to put any recources into actually following up on leads OUTSIDE the Ramsey Family. They firmly believed that the parents did it, so THAT was thier focus and nothing else.
Supreme Cmdr Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 quote:Originally posted by Darkling: Part of the problem is that the early investigators NEVER tried to put any recources into actually following up on leads OUTSIDE the Ramsey Family. Darkling Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 What really gets me is that they just revealed that there was "Unidentified DNA" that they're going to try to match up to this guy!? If they're so positive that there was unidentified DNA, then why all this focus on the parents? I'm sure they had them tested?
aramike Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 As an aside, is anyone else disturbed that this guy was flown into LA via business-class, uncuffed, having dinner and DRINKING COCKTAILS? quote:Karr left Bangkok Sunday morning surrounded by law enforcement and a swarm of journalists. He was deported from Thailand as an undesirable person, but traveled in business class sipping champagne and eating fried shrimp.
Guest Remo Williams Posted August 22, 2006 Report Posted August 22, 2006 Man that is just unreal, very disturbing to say the least.
Guest Grayfox Posted August 22, 2006 Report Posted August 22, 2006 IMHO i think he copped to it just to get out of the punishment he would of recieved in thailand... our justice system is kids play compared to what they do over there. think about it... where would you rather do time if you had a choice??? here or over there? id take our cakewalk system in a heartbeat... if it turns out that he lied, he can still do time here for obstruction, impeding an investigation etc...

I think you're right Grey, but still, this doesn't excuse the prosecuters from not investigating all possible suspects. Every prosecuter before the current one, wouldn't even LOOK outside the Ramsey Family. Especially now, that it's coming to light that there was unidentified DNA, how can they excuse that?
LostInSpace Posted August 22, 2006 Report Posted August 22, 2006 quote:Originally posted by Grayfox: IMHO i think he copped to it just to get out of the punishment he would of recieved in thailand... our justice system is kids play compared to what they do over there. think about it... where would you rather do time if you had a choice??? here or over there? id take our cakewalk system in a heartbeat... if it turns out that he lied, he can still do time here for obstruction, impeding an investigation etc... Personally, I'm leaning more towards he's full of BS. You are probably right about all of your other comments because I thought it myself. However, like you said, if he lied, he will get jail time or be committed for insanity. He will come out of all this with a book a deal and millions of bucks because there are idiots out there that would buy the book.
Guest Grayfox Posted August 22, 2006 Report Posted August 22, 2006 quote:but still, this doesn't excuse the prosecuters from not investigating all possible suspects.I absoloutely agree. every angle should be investigated... and IF they find this dude full of crap, hell get three hots and a cot, and as LIS said a movie and book deal... sad.
LostInSpace Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 And so it begins my friends: (CNN) -- John Mark Karr, the suspect in the slaying of JonBenet Ramsey, should be in Colorado by "early next week," his lawyers said, but authorities have declined to give his attorneys a specific time and date. further down in the article: quote: Meanwhile, producer Larry Garrison said he has obtained the film and television rights to the family's story. No money has changed hands, Garrison said, but if money is made by the Karr family, it will be used for Karr's legal fees and for his children's college education.
Kalshion Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 BS.... purely... [sarcasm] It's so nice how criminals are treated like royalty here, where the victoms are treated like crap. [/sarcasm] Seriously, I really would like to know why a child killer is being treated so..... mer.... nice? He should've been hand cuffed, thrown into the baggage compartment of that damn plane and flown STRAIGHT to Colorado. Not siping some damn drink and making a mockery of the little girl's death, thats just sickening...
Case Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 An interesting turn, I didn't really see this coming: http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/08/28/ramsey.arrest/index.html
Wolferz Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 Does anyone else get the feeling that Karr was just looking for a free ride home?
Guest HorseloverFat Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 Poor Rita Cosby was just going bonkers on the 'Tucker' show this afternoon on MSNBC. The cable news stations just can't get enough of this story. I am still suspicious of the Ramseys themselves. The way they 'lawyered' up so fast, and refused to talk to police, was very suspicious. Where did the DNA come from? Don't know, but John Ramsey is not an idiot. Plus, a lot of 'experts' think Pattsy Ramsey wrote the ramsom message. What really happened? We will probably never know, unless a DNA match turns up some time down the road.
LostInSpace Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 I knew he was full of BS from the start.
Cruis. In Posted August 29, 2006 Author Report Posted August 29, 2006 yes I said jokingly to my wife, he wanted a free ride home. but what a way also won't news networks, pay him to interview him? and won't people line up in there living rooms to watch the interview?
Guest Grayfox Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 Well prosecutors dropped the case... DNA evidence didnt match up... however he is getting a free trip to california because hes apparently wanted there for child porn. doesnt make my theory too far fetched after all... meh hes still got a book deal out of it
