Impressive.

It looks like someone got ejected out of an airlock in that last picture... cwm32.gif

Must you continue to tease us, SC? From what I can deduce about that last picture it looks like an EVA mission to plant a leech mine to a ship or a station...????

Great shots! When I first saw the space suit guy I immediately thought of "2010", when they transfered people from one ship to another using wires etc.(although in this case it looks like a tractor beam of some sort). So my guesses are either the guy is transferring over to another ship via tractor beam, staying attached to the ship so he can space walk, or he was sitting outside the ship and an enemy shuttle thought it would be funny to lock a tractor beam on him and take him on a ride to the nearest star wink.gif

Looks like "Mummies in Space" to me cwm4.gif

That "V" looks like a Velocity/Path indicator or part of one.

Will we be able to fly our Interceptors thru the frame work of the destroyed station ?

let me take an off the wall crack at this. a future version of the MMU currently used today, and upgraded version of the BC3K era mines with intelligent IFF detection. and finally what happens when you press that little red button they tell you not to push in the interceptors. cwm3.gif

I agree with the "V" indicator being the velocity/path thingy. It reminds me of the "V" trails you see in the TACOPS screen.

If that is a view of a leech mine, and that is a guy from our ship in an EVA suit, and we can attach him to the mine, and if Resnig doesn't smarten up in BCM... Let's just say there's something to be said about the British Navy tradition from days gone by which gave the captain Absolute Authority to mete out punishment as he saw fit on his vessel smile.gif

Commentary on GNN update:

"I have no plans to dynamically light up space like a Christmas tree."

I couldn't but help to think of this phrase as I looked at the explosion shots of the station. smile.gif Perhaps that statement needs qualified, like "...except for [insert favorite superlative here] explosions."

I was refering to the space environment itself. Of course because of dynamic lighting the environment will be lit up by explosions.

Other games have their space environment fully lit, I don't. BCM has several light sources coming from the planet and the Sun. These are enough to give realistic lighting, while preserving the space gloom without setting the lighting on models and other entities to full bright. Go take a look at shots from, say, Starlancer, Freespace2, even I-War2 and you'll see what I mean.

Ahh yes, nothing like seeing everything turn puke-green whenever the GTVA Colossus opens fire... smile.gif
