UC Pixel and Vertex shader requirements

quote:Originally posted by SR-71: Hello! These are bad news. I have Geforce4 MX and don't think to change it only to play a single game. This is a great disguise! Many people here have Geforce4 MX, so you┬┤ll have many buyers lost (starting with ME). Perhaps there will be anything to do but change the Video card (forget it!)?? Greetings If you do change your video card, you would not be doing it for one game but hundreds that have a pixel shading(PS) option. Take for example Morrowind, the front end launch box has an option box that allows you to turn PS on or off. I've tried it off and always clicked it back on immediately. My cousin, who has a geforce 2 (no PS either), constantly runs over here to see what the games him and I play look like with Pixel Shading and he constantly says he's gotta upgrade his card. People who own the Geforce 4 MX should have done their research before purchasing that card because it's basically just a souped up Geforce 2. Not that I'm telling you to upgrade or anywhing. If you are happy with the GF4 MX that's great, but you don't know what you are missing without Pixel Shading (or other functions the GF4 MX doesn not support). -

Then I used VirtualDub to remove unwanted frames and then a resizer plugin to drop it to 640x480. I then (using VDub again), stripped the audio stream (which was now out of synch with the audio due to the deleted frames). Then I took the original 44Hz MP3 music, loaded it into Nero Wave Editor and reduced it to the length of the video, then saved it out as a 22Hz PCM wav file. Went back to VDub and added the music Final file size on average is about 31MB for a 2:50 movie. The other movies are similar length, with the smallest being 1:34 long and 16MB in size. Will start distributing them this week. From 4gig to 31mb+ impressive most impressive. Can't wait to see 'em!!

Let alone one that shows all the game's capabilities and which could span an hour or more. Damn, and here I was going to put in my request for a movie: A gaggle of scantily clad vixens surrounding your AE and kissing and hugging him upon his victorious return on one of many exploits!!

Who'd have thought that your cooking utensils can infect you. And everyone's going around blaming the lowly cigarette. And this is only one man made product touted to be safe. How many other products out there are killing us or making us sick with long term consequences. ABC's 20/20 TEFLON STUDIES

quote:Originally posted by Jaguar: You guys need to download and take a peek at this. The big one is a 45 meg zipped filed, but it looks pretty impressive for an FPS. Not bad at all and the last sequence is rather disturbing, I would not want to meet that thing in a dark alley, no, I don't think I would at all. What's even more amazing is that it's (according to the video) a video of the game pre-alpha build. You could have fooled me!! I wonder what the final version is going to look like. I've said this before, Russians really know how to make games example Outcast, Sea Dogs, Knights of the sea etc.

Ugh, I gotta stop doing this two posts in a row. . Anyway, I still am not able to find that new citibank commercial (yet) but I did come across this one kinda reminds me of something that would happen to Resnig in the battlecruisers gym CITIBANK COMMERCIAL (right click and saveas.)

Yeah, I know - but I won't need to add - yet another gun. I'd probably just allow some weapons to work under water. Its not going to be in the final release, thats for sure. Oooooo that would be cool. I was joking around with the spear gun it wasn't like a suggestion or anything to give ya more work or something .

Hey, does anyone know where I can find the online version of that Citibank card commercial with the guy sitting in the chair and talking like a chic (who had stolen his card). That commercial is heelarious. Oh yeah that one the identity theft commercial. You know the first time I saw that commercial I was like WTF! I thought I was bugging out. . Hmmm been searching for it this morning but can't seem to find it anywhere. The next time I see it I'll capture it with my TV tuner card and post the mpeg. Watch, now that I want to record it I'll never see it again.

Talk about pressures of being of JEDI: First Galaxies Jedi confirmed, hunted First players to unlock force-sensitive slots in Star Wars-based MMORPG quickly find a price on their heads. Talk about a short honeymoon. Over the weekend, players of Star Wars Galaxies, the film-inspired massive-multiplayer online role-playing game, learned that two players had achieved Jedi Initiate status. The pair were the first in the game's four-and-a-half month history to do so. Today, the MMORPG site Allakhazam's Magical Realm is reporting that a massive bounty--150,000 credits--is being offered for the newly hatched Jedi's heads. As of press time, they had not been killed. Reaction in the Galaxies community has been mixed. Some see the bounties as a cynical move by Sony Online Entertainment to keep the Jedi population down, others praise it as being true to the spirit of the SW films. Unsurprisingly, the most common reaction has been bloodthirsty enthusiasm by players with bounty-hunter characters, who have posted comments like "It's safari time!" on SWG forums. Details on how the two players became Jedi can be found on the Allakhazam Web site. By Tor Thorsen, GameSpot -

I forgot to mention in the prev. post that OLIVE is the one that did the techno remake of I'M NOT IN LOVE (original by 10cc). Anyway my two all time favorite albums (cd's) are YES: TALES FROM TOPOGRAPHIC OCEANS and ELP (Emerson Lake and Palmer): TARKUS. -

Well this game Armed and Dangerous has gone gold. If you've played the game GIANTS:Citizen Kabuto, it's made by the same developer PLANET MOON and it looks just as good and with humor too. A&D -
quote:Originally posted by Rogue: Okay, I just got BCM GOLD today and threw it on the ol' system. However, the game "stutters" ever so many seconds. It's not my video settings as this happens while the nifty 3000AD Logo goes across the screen too. It pretty much makes the game unplayable, which is a shame! Has anyone ever encountered this, and what is the work around? Thanks much in advance!!! Pertinient System Specs: Athalon 2.4XP (2.0GHz) Memory 1GB Sound Blaster Audigy Windows XP (Patched up and latest SP and DirectX) GeForce4 Ti4600 128MB Video Card Do you have anything running in the background? Like those taskbar programs.

I notice no one's mentioned having any disco songs Thank GOD! There's some hope for the human race then. -
I have a response to all questions. WAIT FOR THE FRIGGEN GAME AND BE SURPRISED. I mean the screenshots alone should answer all questions and that is IT'S COMING ALONG JUST GREAT. What's the point of buying a new game you know everything it can do. The whole point of this BC series is exploration and discovery let's keep it that way folks.

quote:Originally posted by Epsilon 5: Lol i wonder what people would say about my playlist? If you look carefully, i even got some eminem and other stuff i hardly ever listen to on my list .. i need to clean up At work, when i tell people i like techno, dance and trance, yet i never went to a club, they go like wtf? My favorite song, despite the predominent techno and dance stuff, is Evanescense - Bring me to life. I actually know the lyrics by heart! I sing it at work to pass time (i work in a noisy place, so no one hears me). DJ Sammy & Yanou - Heaven is a cool song I have the video for that. I'm the same I like alot of techno songs but never been to a rave and such. Also Alice Dejay better off alone, I'm not in love (remix of a 10cc song if I'm not mistaken) don't remember who the hell did the techno on that one I'll have to check. Also check out Anus of Uranus by Klaatu he's a guy from the mid 70's with a song like this I wonder what they'd come up with about me. Klaatu also did a song titled "Calling occupants of interplanetary craft" someone in the early 90's did a remake of that song can't remember that artist as well. -

Well folks I've seen and tried out HL2. A friend of my mine (who shall remain nameless to protect the guilty ) dloaded what is now a beta release. It doesn't include the source file but a compiled game. It's also an almost 2gig download EGADs!!! The only thing you get is the EXE file and all the maps and config files etc.. Even at this size of a file it's is not complete however the only levels that seem to run good are the E3 demo levels. There are a lot of missing sound files and texture files. You find this out when you load the level. Also with this so called beta version the main menu does nothing you have to load all options and maps thru the command line. All I can say about it is HOLY COW!! The graphics in this game are awesome as is the physics. Can't wait to buy the released game. I hope they just shake this incident off their boots and get on with it.
