I'm going to weigh in with Rico on this one. Now that we have an active Wing commander in each wing, I'm reccomending a freeze on all staff positions. Let's pick a target, say... 4 ships. 4 active ships in non-staff positions (so a squadron commander and 3 ships) in every wing before we open up any more staff positions. We have everything we need. We have more than we need. I don't NEED a 2nd in command. I'm not going to demote Cmdr. Maddox, but there are two Commanders under our command. That's a 1:1 ratio of staff officers to fleet officers. Let's get it to 1:4 at least. It belongs at 1:10, but I don't think that's feasible at present. That's my rant. Also, effective immediately: I am denying permission for any commanders to accept promotions and leave Gamma Wing. (Not including Papi, I granted him permission). I am not accepting any more staff officers into my wing. Currently the only open position in Gamma is a member of 1st Squadron. Let's make this Fleet a Fighting Force. We don't have a lot of time left to do it. If we end up we a bunch of commanding officers with no one to command, and a bunch of Chiefs of Staff with no staff, the Insurgents, the Gammulans, hell the RAIDERS, are going to walk all over us.

Addendum to previous announcement: In a further blow to Paul Resnig's fate, it has been discovered that the dna storage facility where his genetic material was stored has been struck by a meteor. This, unfortunately, removes the possibility of cloning Lt. Resnig and returning him to active service.

We've been given the honour of producing the wing page template, which means we need kick-ass content to impress the other wings. I'd like volunteers to come up with a "Wing History" which describes our daring exploits, following the RPG rules, of course. So far I have received 1 bio, so I'd like the rest as soon as you have 5 spare minutes to work on them. There will also be a section of the site called the "Wing Lounge" This will be a place for miscellaneous BC stuff. If any of you guys have fan art, poetry, music, tips and tricks, war stories, or anything else vaguely BC related, we can put it in the lounge. Let's get cracking!

Does anyone know what type of station Genesis is? Which model is it? Once I know that, I can put together some exterior screenshots of our beloved home.

On the topic of web pages. Here is a possible look-and-feel for the site. I've done the main page, and the Alpha Wing page, to give a general overview of fonts, colours, and layout. Look-and-Feel

That's a nice, easy to use interface. I'm not sure about the pic, though. With the new models, that BC3K pic will look a little out of place. The font I used is called "Sea Dog" I found it on a Sci-Fi fonts page.

Ok, this is an early, non-interactive, version of the main page, what do you think of the font/layout? Of Course, Prime Fleet would be glad to have you as well. Prime Fleet's duties are more general than the other fleets. So if you like doing a bit of everything, consider Prime. We also have stations around Earth, the Moon, and Mars from which to base our ships, giving you a bit more choice in where to call home. Whatever your choice, Welcome the the Battlecruiser Universe!
