I really believe that you should stop worrying about your perceptions of how someone behaves, how many posts they delete on their own board, who they yell at, and what not and if you want to buy the game, buy it. your perception of derek smart will not make you like the game any more or less, if it's good in your opinion you will like it, if it is not, you will not...

i didnt feel like creating a topic for this. my question do you think if a terrorist group got a wam bam nuclear warhead or missle that they would use it? would they go that far? i mean what they do is still on conventional terms, using standard explosives to blow themselves up, but would they use a nuke? i couldnt say for sure, since i will never see into the mind of a terrorist, but i think if they did they would lose all their arguments to the world that they are soldiers and not terrorists.

the original game mechanics didn't cut it for me. thankfully, taldren the developers made it as moddable as all of their games previously and the talented community has come to its rescue. mods released by players have added over 200 star trek ships, plus some created by themself to the game, plus more show like weapon loadouts on the ship. along with other tweaks, its definitely the game it should be by default. all models are redone, better models, plus better textures. extremely important was all the lights missing from ships. A romulan warbird now looks like a romulan warbird. also with new missions and scripts, its more fun to play the online customized campagnes that these mods offer. There is a constitution refit in the game which looks just like if you were looking at it from the motion picture. this mod can be found here www.starfleetcommand3.net others like it can be found at sfc3files.com such as Dominion Wars Mod. Unity II mod. if you bought sfc3 a while ago and wanted to give it another whirl...these mods won't disappoint.

I remember Derek saying due to financial reasons 3000ad "may" not be able to support it, because of the price tag, never that he didn't want to, or had no intention to...completely different. best thing maybe, if the game has any small bugs, fix those, and finish there. it wont receive the numerous enhancements and tweaking other bc titles get.

Charles, dont fight, my sig is correct from the day the formats were introduced...i reworked it 5 times that day to get it. mine is right, you have managed to convolute it. or did you change it in the last 3 years or so and I didnt notice? as for UC, I will not buy, because, for me this game would have marked the beginning of serious battlecruiser multiplayer on all aspects, for all fleets and for us to finally engage each other in friendly RPG battles online...Insurgents VS the galcommies... so for me the community spirit is lost by this latest development, it will not develop into a game that is fun on multiplayer because hardly anyone will be playing it... man DC has really messed up alot of peoples fun and i bet they are happy with themselves. so i wait for BCO, or another True battlecruiser offering.

well mine is an Inspiron 8200.... my new one later or next year will be along the Inspiron line, if its still there by then, no reason why it shouldnt.

the only reason i swear by dell is excellent service, even in my country they have official reps and service centres and warehouse with all parts for all systems currently on the market...so part bad today? technician here tomorrow with new part. happened to my laptop..got a new motherboard. someday I'll say what actually happened to it thats the reason i swear by them and not oem... and its especially for persons who don't build or want the headache...

yeah I'd like to see the price on that one... I bought my laptop with the idea of gaming too, I wanted it to do everything, and thus if it has the specs for gaming, then it can do anything. comes in handy when your sick especially hehe. ill probably buy a new one later this year or next year. prices have dropped so low on them, an all out one like yours is not as expensive as it could have been a year ago. and that one should last you a while... im watching for the technology though where video ram will no longer be a factor, read about it somewhere but it would still be far off from mainstream.

anyway played this game yet? i have played the trial, and while i played through to the information age from the ancient age...in about 3 hours or so and found it relatively fun in this basic form, its so much micromanagement. ... these games really do train the mind to think a mile a minute...seriously. anyway, i got the demo because reading the description it sounded a lot like the old board game RISK, with a twist...battles would be in real time, hence the game engine, but you would move over a world map where you wanted to take over..... risk was alot of fun, so this intrigues me, anyone with the full game let me know if this is indeed the case... seems just like age of empires to me though ya know...just with more depth of course.

i think xor is right, i have the hard cover book called "star wars" refering to what you guys mentioned it also mentioned the f15 eagle could reach high altitudes, like near orbit to shoot down threat missles or something, id have to look at it again.
