Hi all, Sorry for the late post, but have just witnessed the spectacle that is the two towers. Nothing short of amazing, my biggest problem was that being a New Zealander, I saw a lot of bit part actors that I have seen in a multitude of roles, but that is a small sacrifice given that I was totally riveted for most of the 3 hours. Just to totally piss off everyone, just last week, I was driving through the glacial plains of Edoras, Mountains on both sides, (Not a lot of snow as it is summer here now). The worst thing is they totally removed all signs of the City and reverted everything back to the way it was. (tho the hill it was built on still remains) Got to admit Peter Jackson kicks ass, I have been a big fan of his from some of his earlier works. If you are looking for a real laugh, you can't go past PJ's 'Meet the Feebles', a sort of Muppets on Crack movie. I have to agree, Tho I am from New Zealand and we were all rooting for LOTR. My biggest gripe with the Oscars was that if Ron Howard made 'A Beautiful Mind' and put any other Actor in the lead role it more than likely wouldn't have even been nominated for Best Director & Best Movie, let alone got it. (Russell Crowe did 'make' the movie) That he had a great actor, doesn't make him a great director! Cheers Dazzer

Most reviewers were actually left wanting more, one even said he could've sat through another 5-6 hours of it. You don't even need to do that, You can create invisible buttons by just creating blank keyframes for each button state, then setting the hit area as a rectangle Cheers Darrin

Hi all, I'm hoping to get some preview passes for a showing next wednesday, so will let you know what I think. (Thats if I can score them) Saw the making of it last night on TV, and it looks pretty good. The director basically was a big fan, and was the main instigator behind getting the movies made, so I imagine he would try and be as faithfull as possible to the books. (eg They were saying the wanted to make HobbitVille as realistic as possible, so they created the sets a year before primary filming commenced, and planted vegetable gardens a year in advance) If you get a chance, catch the making on TV. And it was filmed right here in New Zealand. Cheers Darrin

Hi Folks. I had a similar thing last saturday night, while out for a night with my wife. A couple of youths were hassling some young girls at a taxi stand, so I had to step in. They left the girls alone, and then proceeded to get into me. Now I'm no slouch, 6'1 and solid but I still ended up with a suspected fractured cheekbone, 2 black eyes, a fat lip & chipped teeth. (fun what a few kicks to the head will do) No point ringing the cops, as they did a runner as soon as a taxi pulled up, and I didn't fancy filling in @#$%in police reports for 3 hours. They did leave the girls alone after that, which was my main aim, and I'd more than likely do the same if I saw it happening again. Like you all said, theres no room on this planet or any other planets in the BCM galaxys for scum bags that treat females like that, and sometimes getting the cops involved can be more hassle than its worth. Tho in Akuma's case, a restraining order could be in order. Cheers Dazzer
