I could go for some comunications with the NPC. Like "drop your cargo or be destroyed" and the more damaged they get the more incentive they have to drop their cargo. Or something like "Please leave me alone you can have my cargo"

So will a gas mask help in biological or chemical attack? I heard that it probably won't work in biological and only works agains specific chemical attacks. Is that true?

Try uninstalling the game. Doing a fresh install and playing V2.0 and see if you still have the same problem. If yes then it's something in your computer that's causing the problem, if you can play just fine then upgrade to v2.09 but make sure that you do all the upgrades in order.

Well, ok. Actually maybe the very expensive, very top of the line digital camera might equal or maybe (note maybe) be better than a good 35mm camera in some respects, but I just like film too much.

I prefer a medium priced 35mm camera. Mine is Minolta HTSI plus. Very nice. Nothing beats the quality of 35mm, nothing.

Well, I searched for all of the files mentioned above, didn't find anything. Geez, that was a scare, the size seems to have stabilized at 1.10 gigs. I am going to wait a day or 2 and see if anything changes. Thanks for all your support, gave me some pretty good ideas and help.

I am starting to think that it might actually be the swap file. That's why the space grows and contracts, but there's still the question about the weird reports of the file sizes. But I guess it's better the be on the safe side and do one more reformat with that bootable sector wipe, so if someone knows the command that would be very helpfull. Got a question though, if I wipe the bootable sector too, how is computer going to read the hd?

Now it's down to 1.07GB used space. I am going to run Scandisk, Defrag, Notron Antivirus and see if that helps. All suggestions about this are very much welcome. Thanks. Also I don't feel like taking it to a computer specialist. There's nothing on my pc to fix, all it has is win98SE, Microsoft office 2000, Norton Antivirus, Easy Uninstall, 1 game, getright and AOL. That's it. So when I checked it after finishing the whole install it was using about 900MB. Then it jumped to about 1 somthing GB (yesterday) today to 1.47 and now back to 1.07 so all that guy is going to tell me is to probably format again. Thanks for suggestion though. Oh yea, one more thing. I went into "Temporary Internet Files" and deleted all of them, after that I checked the size of it and it says that there are 9 folders in it +some files, I enabled "see all types of files" in folder options but still nothing is showing in "temporary internet files" folder, and it says it's using up 5 mb. Why is that, I mean the folder appears to be completly empty.

I have a problem. I formated my HD a couple of days ago and now the space used on my HD just keeps growing. Like yesterday for example it was 900MB used, today it's 1.46GB used and I haven't installed anything. I started checking individual folders and some of the sizes do not match. For example when I right click on folder and choose properties, under size it gives me a report like this ex. 23.9mb (35,078,362) 108,068,864 bytes used. Shouldn't it be around 108mb used? I have a program "Easy Uninstall" and it gives me some weird reports too, like the size of a folder is 100 something mb, but when I open up a folder the files in it only ad up to about 9mb. What is going on with my computer. Can someone help?

What I don't understand if how he could have said that it's a great space sim but still uncomplete? What is he smoking, if I compare reviews from other space sims and they are more or less complete then how the hell is BCM uncomplete? Anyway, it should be uncomplete in a sense that there's much more and better things that will come out from SC after BCM and for BCM, BCM itself is pretty much complete.

I would think that you can make a bootable cd by copying the information from the boot disk onto the cd and then going into your BIOS setting at start up and telling the computer to boot from the cd drive instead of the flopy. Maybe that helps. But someone with more knowledge on this would be better suited to explain.

Let me answer your question with a question Paddy Gregory. What if you were caught with drugs and beaten sensless? What if that happened twice or 3 times, would you still cary drugs, or would it take 5 times to make you understand that drugs are illegal. Now, all the punishment the drug dealers and abusers get is a slap on the wrist, and that obviously doesn't work, if they were slammed down hard then it would make a buyer think twice before going out on the street and buying them especially if they have a family or someone who depends on them. Now if drugs should be illegal or not is another question which I am not going to discuss but just say that Norsterdam (spelling?) has the lowest drug related crime rate in the whole world and drugs are legal there. So that raises some questions. But anyway, from the very first paragraph you can see that if you want something to stop you make the punishment harsher untill it stops.

Let me clarify that: What I mean is if you are arested and found guilty for possesion of drugs, rape, murder ect... .then you should not be able to complain how the police treated you, but if you are found innocent and you think that you were treated overly rough then sure complain all you want. Whenever a police stops me I never complain, and they have stoped me for the dumbest reasons, ex. one time I didn't turn on my ligts (at night) after getting gas at the gas station and turned them on only once I pulled out of it. The cop stoped me, was very curtious, checked me if I was drunk, and asked me if I knew why he pulled me over, I said no and he explained that statistically people who don't turn their lights on at night are under the influence of alcohol and are concentraiting so hard on driving that they forget the simplest things or are just so drunk that they don't even realize it's night. Then we said good night and he went on his way and I on mine. Some people would complain because that officer pulled him over based on the statistics, well I was actually feeling safer because if I was a drunk driver then I wouldn't want people like me being on the road in the car.

I have to tell you something about human rights. It's a great concept but sometimes it gets twisted and confused. Police can't do their job because if they arest too many people of a certain race then they get investigated (what if they patrol an area that is predominatly of a certain race, will they not arest people of that race?) For example Sacramento has a population that is almoust 80% Russian, do you hear complaints that mostly Russian people get arested there? Yeah, I don't blame them (AOL for wiping the whole account if there are complaints). There are some really wacky people that can IM you sometimes. You sitting there, minding your own business, then all of a sudden an IM pops up, something like "Cindy69" "Wanna chat?, or a/s check or some internet address inviting you to visit." It's funy, but sometimes can be annoying, especially when you start wondering that you are paying for.
