I bring this thing down to it's knees daily with my uber-multitasking (sometimes I get up to 8 IE windows open with other programs), and routines in Photoshop and 1st Page 2000. All of this with Winamp and Trillian usually running in the background, and mIRC active 24/7 as I log a chatroom I run for a clan. Hehe... Luckily, I don't game often, so I don't need the killer system. The only game I've been playing recently is HL: Counter-strike, and I'm not exactly the best player. If it's not me on the computer, it's my brother, playing CS. (He's the reason why our record is still anywhere close to 1 kill-to-death. Heh... We'd be a ton worse on our record if I was the only one that played. ) I'm slowly planning to build my own system when I've got the time/cash. But, that's kinda far off. I swear, I need a job..... A shame, I don't know many WYSIWYG editors. In Microsoft Office, Frontpage does a pretty good job. Also, MS Word can export to HTML, if you need it. 1st Page is a text-based editor, but in "beginner mode" (or so I think that's what it's called), you can click the tags you need in a menu. Evrsoft 1st Page 2000 - I use this a LOT. Sorry if this doesn't help much.

Well..... I'm going out of country for a 3-week vacation. I'm leaving this Saturday (kinda short notice for such a long leave, I know). Doing a whole bunch of family stuff (reunions and such) in the Philippines (my parent's home country). Having to finish finals and everything for school before everyone else, I'm going to have to put out more time than usual this last week of normal life. After that, it's a 2 hour flight to Detroit, and an 18 hour flight straight to the Philippines. If the jet lag doesn't kill me, the heat is sure to. I'm more of a cold-weather person, so tropical climates are a bit out of the norm for me. I'll mainly be only checking my MSN Hotmail account when I'm gone, so if you're planning to contact me, try that. ( [email protected] ) Note that I'll have limited access to the net unless I can get onto a relative's account (when we're not busy around there), or in a net cafe. So yes, I'm here this week; slightly. But come Saturday morning, Nova will not be in the house until June 19 or whenever. Over and out. First one!!!! Hellz yea! No spoilers here. If you've seen it, don't spoil it either. (I consider it a fan duty to not spoil the movie for others.) The movie..... ROCKED. The battles were great, the plot was decent, and the rest was pretty good still. Ups and downs, cool moments, action moments, sad, blah, blah, blah. You know. As with all the Star Wars movies, some of the best parts of the theater experience are the musical score (with the big sound), and the crowd. From the clapping and cheering as the first notes of the Star Wars main theme play, to the cheering when you see the battles begin; you know it's going to be great. Where some people don't like the idea of a romance story, I didn't personally care. Also, I thought the large-scale battle(s) made up for the relatively "boring" (in some opinions) scenes. The way the villains get whooped. The way you expect the dark side to follow through. Everything is played out with Star Wars niceness. Even though Ebert says that there aren't any memoribal lines in the movie, I think it's true. (Update: Well, there was the part where Anakin goes "I hate them!", and it bursts into the Vader theme. Had a creepy touch to it. You'll understand what I mean.) But, to me most of the memories lie in the battles and action. The battles are a pretty cool switch from 'old school' Star Wars (rather than space battles with lots of fighters and ships, you have massive land-based ones, and with multiple Jedi; that last part is the best), while still keeping with the old SW ways. And watching Sith get 0wnz0red has always been enjoyable. Tips: 1) See it in a place with stadium seating; you don't wanna have your view screwed. 2) See it when it's pretty full. The crowd reactions to the movie move it along very well. 3) Don't drink a lot before watching; if you do, be prepared to hold. 4) Get there early enough to get good seats. 5) Have fun. I saw it on film. Now, Ebert and lots of reviewers agree that it's better digital, but I think it rocked nonetheless. I bought tickets today, at the box office, right before the show started. 4pm show. Yep. No preorder need for me. But that's where I live. Heh. For everyone that waited until tomorrow, then good luck. The weekends are going to be a killer if you haven't pre ordered; depends on where you live, as well though. I think it was one of the cheats that basically kept people to where they were. Disable the cheats one at a time (keep the rest enabled), to see if it's one of the cheats and which one it is. If it's not one of the cheats, then I can't really help you.

I live in St. Louis County, where this all happened. Heh. It currently doesn't miff me about what the case is about. (Overruling the county ordinance that regulates games.) For years, I've had to bring a parent with me to buy an "M" rated game. (You need to be 17 to do buy "M" games.) So? My parents trust me, and I think it's good. Keeps unresponsible people from getting ideas from POS games. So in my view, you are all complaining about the wrong thing when you say "teens can't play Quake", they can, but they have to have a parent to buy it. It's like going to an "R" rated movie after 7:00. (In some places, at least.) I have to agree with Kartoffel and Gray on this one. If sites didn't get the cash from Ads, they'd either have a shitty as hell server, or they'd have to shut down. And, considering the fact that the profits of Ads are going down, many sites have closed their doors recently. Say, if the online ad industry somehow has a sudden collapse. What'll happen? Tons of sites close down instantly, and most of the bigger ones will turn into pay sites.
