  1. Here's the same in Finnish: "Viimeisimm├ñn suomalaisen PC Gamer lehden mukana tuli BC3K, joten eik├Âh├ñn se liene ilmestynyt my├Âs siell├ñ, ehk├ñ jo aikaisemmin." O.K. I'll try to brake the code: Jase asked: quote: Are any of these mags going to include a copy of BC3K 2.09??? That would be a better selling advertisement than a review in my opinion. I would love to play it, since it is supposed to run under Win9X, but I have a 56K connection. And I answered: quote: PC Gamer here in Finland included BC3K in their latest number, so I think it must have been in there too, only earlier. Translation Latest Finnish PC Gamer magazine had BC3K included in their cd-rom, so it must have been included in PC Gamer mag cd-rom in U.S. too, maybe in earlier issues It was quite late here when I answered his post. But I can send my Finnish-Finglish-English dictionary to you if you want it for further use. [ 10-23-2001: Message edited by: Papi ]

  3. Alpha Wing pages updated, tell me what you think.
  4. So I'll sue you for being as honest you can be, is that right
  5. True krazor, I'm one of the testers and I liked the game as it was a lot, but I think you guys should wait until you have your own opinion. I KNOW I like it and will send my own email when I have my own full version on my sweaty hands, but no earlier.
  6. That's a good one Hugo
  7. willb, I think the best thing is to try uninstalling and reinstalling the demo if you haven't tried that yet. It might be that the game crashes because you have only 64mb memory. Remember that you should quit all programs, except eplorer and systray. I run memory manager called "Ram Idle" prior to starting any games, so I can get as much memory as possible, then I quit the memory manager too. Hope this helps and welcome to our universe
  8. Welcome Masefield, you just added one more BCM Infomercial: Painkiller
  9. ...how about crab mines, aren't they like turrets?
  10. Hi Impact, take a look at BCM product info page, there you'll find some more info about the game. quote: Is the game open so you go do what you want...or is it more along the lines of you get told what to do then do it and move on to the next mission? The game is very open ended, you may choose to take missions (ACM) or not (Free flight mode) in the start. Even if you choose to start with missions you can do what you want, but you may get court martialed and that may be end of the game. After the last mission game will continue in free flight mode. quote: would it be fair to say BCM is simlar in play to the Elite style games but just far far more advanced and in depth? Yes, I would say so, I have played Elite games and there's much of the same feeling but in BCM you're a real starship commander. You have whole crew to bark orders to and so on. I won't go further to the detail because you'll find it all here (and it would take a whole day for me to explain the depth of this game) Last but least, try free Battlecruiser 3000 AD 2.09 and BCM demo 2 and you'll get feeling of this game. Welcome
  11. Take a look at VCF and you'll find that the answer is yes
  12. No, you can't take weapons from killed enemies, all of them are vaporized after killing and disappear with their gear.
  13. Happy birthday! And don't forget the fun factor, in games and in life
  14. And remember it's not only fire power, tactics too smaller assets are faster, so it just might be that they might be better for leading personel
  15. quote: Originally posted by Thomas Siemens: Jaguar, Rm: assets changed. At the moment, I use the following rule of thumb for Assets: Fleet Staff personnel, and Wing Leaders: Battlecruiser MK3. Everyone else: Battlecruiser MK2, or other asset, if asked for. Best regards. Does this mean that we can't select the assets? Sorry, but I can't see any reason for this. I can understand that once you select your asset and it's in the fleet db it's there and that's it.
  16. quote: Originally posted by Korono Lakeela: Ok, here is sort of a silly question, but something I am kinda curious about....So, how nasty are the bases in the shipped version of BCM compared to BC3K?......And does an A.I. fleet, being unsupported or unobstructed by a player, have a chance at successfully knocking one out? In my opinion (and I think it was other betatesters opinion too) starstations are nastier, I didn't try to take out starbases if you mean them though... And I had to change the whole strategy against npc's, they are harder all around. quote: Originally posted by R_wilco: This may have already been asked, but I'm curious, IS there a way to change your caste in-game? Like going renegade, or somehow resigning your commision to become a trader? Probably not, but I thought I'd ask And also, I forgot what it was called, but I read that there's a feature in The Game which let's you recieve AND send messages to NPC ships(and PC ships after the MP patch). Has it been enabled, or is it still in testing, or just removed? You can't change your caste in the created profile. But of course you can go and start rebelling, but you'll get those fighters on your tail that stations sends after your butt No, there's no feature to send messages to npc's. 17. I'm going to check the HTML code. Only thing that wonders me is that I asked RM to check the page and he didn't see anything wrong. We both use IE 6.0, and I have IE 5.5 at work and it works just right in both of them. I also installed Netscape 6.1. and it works just fine. I made the pages with Frontpage 2000, so it just might be the problem, maybe I just fix it with some HTML editor. But the problem is, that if I can't see the problem, I don't know if it's fixed since I only have a little idea what's wrong
  18. I mean after the last beta patch (v2.3.09.09), and here's my specs: CPU: AMD K6 2/500 RAM: 128mb OPERATING SYSTEM win98 OS ENVIRONMENT 1024*768/16bit BCM ENVIRONMENT 1024*768/Full-screen/16bit/16bit VIDEO CARD INFO Voodoo3 PCI 2000/1.07 I ran bcm release with /NM /LT options in command line.

  20. Oh sucks! another formatting problem. I'll fix it asap. edit: Do you have Netscape or IE? Works fine with my IE 5.5 Is it in the main bios page or when you click mine or Starbucks name? [ 10-12-2001: Message edited by: Papi ]
  21. We sure do , I just fixed the font problem, so send your bio to me and I'll update the pages asap.
  22. No, you can't change CC in BCM.
  23. Hi cmdr pessoft, you seem to belong to Epsilon wing according to fleet db (and as your logo shows too) so edit your sig accordingly. And welcome
  24. I noticed that fonts that I use in the bios page text doesn't format right if you don't have battle.ttf installed. I'm going to change the bios into graphic files so that you don't need to install the fonts.
  25. Go with it, we have called them many times to show up.
