Sorry about late answer to the row call but better late than never. I'll report for duty in Gammawing 1st squadron. I can't get my AW to work, keeps crashing all the time, so I can't join in meetings in AW. Are you still planning on mp on other games? How about Rainbow Six? This may be obvious to many of you, but since the question seems to rise up from time to time, I thought it might help few of you who want to read the manual in between the on going situation (without printed manual). All you have to do is leave to MAIN MENU, COMLINK COMPUTER, TACTICAL COMPUTER, MISCON, or any other menus in game and alt+tab there and then go read the manual in windows. Did you delete old saved games before patching up to 2.09? If not, it might be the case. Or it might be bad install. Try backing up to 2.08 and then try patching back up to 2.09 (and do remember to delete old saved games). Hope it helps. ------------------ Cmdr Jason Cloud GCV Silver Lining

Something strange really! I think I got it figured. I deleted all temporary internet files, but it didn't help, the same file persisted. Then I selected no proxy in my iexplorers settings and voilá, the file is the same as SC described. I think that proxy I use saves these little files and I got the same out of date file over and over again. I know it sounds grazy but it's best explanation yet. I'm sorry too to bother you SC with this problem, but I think it's good to get these things figured out, than keep in silence. ps. Once again I must say that no game developer is as dedicated to his work as you are! pps. I solemnly swear that I give the man peace to work with BCM from now on, because I just can't wait to get my hands to it!!!!! I tried to install gbsmod1 today and it didn't work. I downloaded the file today and it contains exactly the same BC3K0000.* files as in Malakies installation folder. I even opened the zip file straight from downloads page and the files are the same. Here is a part from BC3K0000.scr file. "## SYSTEM SCRIPT - FREE FLIGHT SCENARIO # # This script is used in FREE FLIGHT mode. It contains the default world with # auto-generation active. In this mode, the player is a scientist. #". Welcome cmdr! It looks like a bad install, my guess is that the mappak is not installed correctly. Please make sure that you copy mappak installation file to your game installation folder ie. "c:bc3000ad" and run installation from there. If that won't help try starting from scratch.

First things first, upgrade your game to 2.09 'cause your saved games won't work if you upgrade later. And now to your problem, I suggest you to read the manual and when you've read it, read it again it's all there! Did you check that you're not running any programs that are running under every windows session ie virus protection programs. Usually you can terminate those by left clicking little icons on the right down corner of your display beside the clock. It's worth trying anyway. Unfortunately I usually haven't got time to play over an hour, but yes, I remember getting booted back to desktop few times. I got it solved as per FAQ memory/config settings. So, I don't think it has anything to do with your voodoo gard. I have just upgraded to voodoo 3 and the problem has not been haunting me anymore. Cmdr Jason Cloud GCV Silver Lining

Hi! I had the same problem with my voodoo2, there is a workaround though so you don't have to reboot. Click your right mouse button on your desktop select properties and then voodoo2 properties and go back by closing properties. This takes less time than rebooting. I don't know why but after playing bc3k with voodoo2 (I had Orchid Righteous) bc3k and all "dos based" programs caused out of sync. If I checked voodoo2 properties there was no texture or any other memory for voodoo available. But after returning to desktop and going back to check the properties all lost memory was back! Why it does that, I don't know. Maybe it has something to do with refresh rates. Anyways this is the only way I avoidid rebooting. Cmdr Jason Cloud GCV Silver Lining

Hi! Sounds like bad install. Check your install directory. The name of your install directory shouldn't exceed over 8 marks like it says in F.A.Q. Start from the scratch. If you can't get it running post here your original game version (i.e. 1.00 or 2.00 or 2.08) and your patch history (if any). And once more read F.A.Q. Cmdr Jason Cloud GCV Silver Lining
