I think we should reorganize the the whole wing, and would not do harm to reorganize the whole fleet, since there are wings that haven't got a leader at all. Maybe we active members should gather (in ICQ or any appropriate media). Hi Joel, you can cargo sweep in debris field by flying your BC to the field and then cargo pods are generated. Then you can order your shuttles to sweep. Hi Mongrol, you're in the same spot I was four years ago. This is huge game and without manual and few tips you're left in the space floating. But hey we're here to help you. First of click your shied indicator to get your shields up. Then press "P" key to activate your weapon system and your PTA (Passive Targed Acquisition. Then try left clicking anywhere in screen and you get menu with access to different computers. Try eg. navigation computer and order your ship to jump to different planet or system (I don't remember what systems are activated in demo) by clicking the planet in the star system in the map. Then press "A" key to activate auto pilot system and off you go. Hi Shingen, here's few observations: 3. the only way to deploy teams is to switch to the shuttle and do it from the cockpit menus. You can order team in the ground from there too. 5. Are you sure Gallion? My BC3000AD.dat file is 2,156,478 big too. And everything working fine. 6. You can dock with starbases i've done that many times. The trick is to add Earth TerMil in compound 22 in your priority list in tacops, then set waypoints for shuttle or interceptor near Earth starbase>launch >switch to the craft >radar mask all but tactical, strategic and friendly >set tacscan to GRND and you can set target to Earth starbase and dock. Hi Shingen, did you set your Tacscan to scan ground objects by pressing "K" key until it shows "Ground" in left upper corner of tacscan instead of "Space"? If your Tacscan is setup to space you can't scan ground objects and select them as targets. Happy hunting! Few corrections after checking it the "real world" of BC3K, after you enter to surface your tacscan shows "Air" in the left lower corner, it should show "GND". My first contact with The Game was sometime summer '96. Somehow bumped into beta version of BC3K, it was in one of the cd's I loaned from a friend. I managed to launch from the Galcom but not much else. I remember thinking that when the game is out I'll go out and buy it. I forgot the game for a about year 'cause I never saw it in the shelves. But then I found the Silver Box v.1.0 in a retail bin. I had been a long time fan of Braben's Elite Series and even enjoyed Frontier: First Encounters alot. But after I got into BC3K universe that was it! I remember that I signed in BC3K forum for the first time sometime in late '97. Anyone still remember "Clear to dock" when you accessed the site? At first I used to lurk in the shadows just reading and I must admit that it hasn't changed that much, but every now and then when I got something to say I come out. It's been really great 4 years (still learning) and is getting even better with BCM! Hi Aleksei, good neighbour That last message of yours sounded like bad install, so I'll suggest that you (once more) go through the whole intallation process. And remember to delete the the folder you installed it last time (don't forget to move your patches if they are in the same folder, I've done even that ) and BCK3.INI file from the Windows folder. And remember that the patches MUST be in the intallation folder when you start patching.
