I'm much like Steve, haven't played alot other games after buying bc3k. Before bc3k I played Frontier: First Encounters, and obviously I'm waiting Elite 4 to come around. But THE GAME I'm waiting is still BCM.

Back in sixties when I was young *sigh* I thought I had to have short name to sign my drawings etc so I took two first letters of my first name and my last name, Pauli Pilvi. Few years later I read the book "Papillon" and realised that someone else was using the same nickname. And about my alter ego, it's just translation of my sons name, Jaakko for Jason and Pilvi for Cloud, that's about it.

Hey Steve, marines are auto prep'd if you order them in shuttles, so you don't have to do anything but order them in shuttles. And I think combat prep helps if they face intruders 'cause that's the only way that they have right equipment etc so that they don't have to use only wrists (ooops typo, meant fists ), not that I don't like boxing, I do! I'm quite sure that they are much the same way as in BC3000AD, no buttons for shuttle bay doors or landing wheels. Are you sure you want more control on this little details when you think all the control that you have in larger scale, huh? I've been away awhile, so I'm just catching up some things in this forum. Patrolling zones sounds a good idea and I'm planning a proposal for patrolling routes for 2nd squadron. I'm just wondering could it be possible to use scripts for now until BCM is ready, so we could have a feeling of proper patrolling. Hi LeMaster! If I understood right you are trying to tow the diplomat ship to Majoris with your BC, right? If so, don't do it! Shield of your BC go down when you tow a ship, so you are very vulnerable to any hostile attacks. Why don't you just escort the dip ship to Majoris? Or if you must tow another ship use shutles. Just order shuttle to tow a ship you want and then order it to take jump by jump to region you want. And when it's in the region you want just switch to shuttle and fly to station and ask for docking clearence and deliver the ship. And what comes to cargo pods and depris fields, I've noticed that it takes some time before cargo pods "are ready" in depris field, so if you just order your shuttle to fly to depris field and give order to cargosweep, it won't work since the shuttle leaves the depris field before cargo pods "develop". I usually switch to shuttle and fly in autopilot with order to "fly to" depris field and wait till asteroids (or what ever they are) begin to to show up that's the time when you propably will find cargo pods too. Then just order the shuttle to "cargo sweep" and before you wink your eye you'll have lots of stuff to sell.
