  1. It's a Canadian site, with the supplies and server located in Canada, and has specific functions set up for Canadian-like people, so I'd hazard a guess that all prices are in Canadian dollars If in doubt though, just fire them off an email, they respond pretty quick.
  2. NCIX.Com would be another site to look out for.. it's Canadian, but I got all my stuff from it for a great price, and they even have a Pricewatch feature to match their prices with other Canadian sites (if they're lower).
  3. 250 watts was barely enough for my new 1.1Ghz system I got awhile back.. even with that, I constantly rebooted at random during heavy gameplay. Upgrading to a 300 watt solved the problem. Somehow I think 235 watts would come up short too
  4. After extensive diagnosis, I have hereby concluded that my ISP is either A) On some form of crack, or My radioactive garden gnomes are busy "upgrading" the servers again. Anyways, am I the only one here who's absolutely unable to connect that server?
  5. Deus Ex baby.
  6. Bigger HD. The prime rule of gaming: You can NEVER have enough HD space. When I got my 40 gigger, I thought it'd take me at least a year to fill it up. I've been sitting at 5 gigs for the past few months....
  7. I'd advise anybody who gets a pre-built system confirm what video card it comes with. You can't exactly run Battlecruiser Millennium on an S3 Virge... [ 04-18-2001: Message edited by: Parias ]
  8. I recieved this ICQ message last night from one of the 400-odd people on my list: quote:You have received a message! MEUHR ==-p; Drunkm <
  9. Ick. Sounds like a serious motherboard issue... possibly the BIOS got fried somehow, or the CPU got blown? Try setting the BIOS reset jumper and see what happens (place the jumper into "reset" mode, turn on comp, wait a few seconds, turn off comp again, set the jumper back to where it was, turn on comp). Might be something that just got borked. More details in your mobo manual.
  10. I've got a review posted on Hardnews if you're at all interested.. sitting in the archives somewhere
  11. Old. Fun game, but old.
  12. Nice pic Akuma *Makes sure nobody's looking and saves it to his private collection*
  13. Happy birthday Commander! We all love ya
  14. (Think "Homer Simpson after stepping into pool after forgetting to clean it") EEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! I've said my piece. Edit: Actually, no, I haven't. Review There, NOW I've said my piece *Goes back to pigging out on junk food* [ 04-15-2001: Message edited by: Parias ]
  15. Good ones Tac, LOL! Here's one, with all due credit to "Carnom" from the VoodooExtreme comment forums.. and further credit to the person who made this in the first place: quote:In an heroic dogfight fought over International waters off the mainland-China coast, a 60's-era American-built Lockheed Electra propeller-airliner, with 24 US Navy passenger/observers aboard, chewed up one of China's finest state-of-the-art supersonic fighter aircraft. The Americans, utilizing the infrequently recorded combat tactic of straight and level flight, often accomplished by relying solely on autopilot, engaged the outmanned single-seat combat jet and knocked it out of the air using only one of its four formidable rotating air-mass propellers. After the action, the crew and passenger/observers diverted to nearby China's Hainan Island Resort for some much-deserved R&R as guests of the Chinese government. 16. LOL! I'm saving that one, thanks Mikel
  17. Hell yeah, Babylon 5 kicks ass. You just gotta love Londo Molari.... Londo: "I don't know how they see out of them anyway! Tiny, beady, squinty little things aren't they? Drazi Ambassador: "Ambassador!" Londo: "No, the Maker has not been kind to you. Must be terrible trying to fly at night without running into entire planets." Drazy Ambassador: "Are you saying the Centauri do not know what ships are patrolling their borders?" Londo: "No no, of course WE know. The Maker has gifted us with great big eyes. And great big scanners. And great big- ..... uh.. well, that is no concern of yours. Look, isn't there someone else you can harass? My life is so full of joy as it is!" By the way, a bit of time ago I picked up a collection of Babylon 5 Bloopers. They're all saved to my HD and are around 114MB alltogether (not for the bandwith impaired)... drop me a line on ICQ (1293359) if any of you have some big bandwith though and want to check them out, they're hilarious Found them on the FirstOnes.com forums awhile back, not sure if they'd still be listed in the archives...
  18. Here, some humor to make sure this thread doesn't spontaneously combust like the last one. Glad to see you're all keeping it civil guys... uh, mostly
  19. Ahh I see now, the bastards moved the option to a secluded area in an evil attempt to make me look like a fool.... no doubt my garden gnomes were involved Thanks SC.
  20. I'm still noticing the same thing... about the only way I was able to get the cookies to reset was by rebooting. Even when I logged out and back in, it's still showing the same lightbulbs. Hmm....
  21. Hmm, I'm not too sure.. even right now, there are probably quite a few people out there who are lurking, whom haven't even registered yet. I personally, upon getting a game and finding the offical site has a UBB forum, don't register when I'm looking for help, I just hop in, dig through any old posts I can find relating to my issue, and move out. If either A) I like the community enough to join, or I can't find the answers I'm seeking, then I'll register and start posting. But generally I just lurk in, grab what I need, and go, registering only if necessary Really though, if people absolutely need to register to even get a glance at issues they might need help with, wouldn't that kinda increase the amount of questions-that-we've-answered-a-zillion-times-already posts? Assuming they even bother to register at all.. hehe
  22. Ahhhh there we go, just had to reboot
  23. Hmm, anyone else having oddities with the forum's cookies? Every time I bring up the forum, all the lights are fresh on, indicating new posts. Of course, I'm relatively certain that there aren't people posting in every single forum each time I leave for about 20 minutes... Tried refreshing the page, no change. Normally refreshing it would also refresh the cookie and make everything appear as "Read", but that doesn't seem to be happening..
  24. Kewlies, we get our own little profile photos and stuff. Edit: In other news, I just reached 1000 posts! Hoo-rah! [ 04-08-2001: Message edited by: Parias ]
  25. .....Woa. That's all I can say.
