I've played it for a couple of days. It reminds of Civ III but with some great enhancements. I love the exploration -- although I'm going to give myself to the dark side tonight and become conquerer of the pure evil variety. Ha!

Very cool. Corndog as it could be, I always had a soft spot in my heart for that show. Of course, we were sci-fi/spaceship-shoot'em up starved in the seventies.

Kiran, I work for a congressional office -- we handle VA cases like yours all of the time. Believe me, VA is one of the worst bureaucratic quagmires -- they can be very frustating. Contact your local representative. You'll have to sign a privacy form which gives him or her written permission to look into your case, but it should be fairly simple for them to contact the VA and clear this up. If you don't know who your Congressman is, go to www.house.gov. You can type in your zip code and find out. Hope this helps!!

This means significant layoffs at the Las Vegas studio (which employees over 100 people), although some are eligible to be transferred to the new LA studio or EA's main headquarters in Redwood Shores. Westwood's only confirmed member to be going to the Los Angeles studio right now is Louis Castle, the founder of the studio. The final day for Westwood employees will be this Friday. Despite the closure of Westwood, EA has announced that they will continue to support the online RPG EARTH AND BEYOND and also that we haven't seen the last of the COMMAND AND CONQUER series. The new Los Angeles studio will open later this summer and will be home to 200 developers. __________________________________________________ Uh-oh. Good suggestion WeeGee. I think a stealth game would play out better on the PC version - similar to Deus Ex I suppose. Besides, I can play nonstop on the computer. My wife is in love with HGTV and makes me feel guilty if I'm on the XBox too long.

I'm with you SC. I've been following the stories on Ron Moore's "update" for a while. I guess I shouldn't judge until I see it, but IMHO he's losing site of the original's spirit and unnecessarily tinkering with characters. Starbuck, the boozing, smoking, gambling, womanizer is now a woman? Apollo who virtually worshipped his father Adama now hates him? Come on! I'll probably catch some crap over this, but you know what show I wish someone would update? Space: 1999. How cool would it be to see the moon blown out of orbit with modern special effects? And I always thought the Eagle transporters were cool!

You know the worst aspect of seeing a Bond film? It always makes me want to buy a new car! I just loved the new Aston Martin (that cloak sure would be handy on the Interstate.)

As a fellow Pennsylvanian, I feel your pain my friend. On a brighter note, PSU crushed Nebraska this past weekend (although admittedly there's a long season ahead for the Lions.) Of course, you're probably in the Panther camp huh?
