quote:After reinstalling BC3K just to take another look at that classic beauty, personally I think a nother futuristic reincarnation of that text-based bridgeview (tacops-style), but without the 20th Century 'pitch ladder' (though okay for fighters) would be ideal for a BCG capital ship.Did you mean the text box in the Tacops view?? IMO, I loved the original layout of tacops over the new one.....It was way more efficient... But then again I didn't have a chance to get used to the new tacops system...does anyone else relate with this?

I'm NOT against people going to the Sunday sermon. I would recommend it. I see the church as a powerful medium of delivering a code of ethics & culture to the community. But, I hate the religion part of it...I’m almost completely certain, the money milking founders of the church, didn't know the fundamentals of life while dreaming up the bible. I see faith, as something we individually have to create in or own heads. Where not here for no reason.....our purpose is to find out why where here, and how where here!! There fore, I put my faith in science!! BTW, I wonder if this guy will get flamed here ->

quote:You wanna say "under god" please feel free, you don't want to say "under god", please feel free. But to force it to stay or go is stupidity in the extreme. You know,....you got a point! Maybe if they gave a neutral quota, and allowed people to choose their pledge, we could work this out flame-free. I'm sure atheists, like myself, would be happy if the state acknowledge our existence in the pledge rather than devote it to god.

quote:If you wish to be free of religion, then go find a NICE cabin in the middle of the woods and lock yourself down, otherwise, DEAL WITH IT!!______In my opinion, religion should have died when Darwin spoke. This means I'm against the popularisation of religion... and that’s my belief!! ______The death of religion however, doesn’t happen straight away. People won't just stop believing in something so deeply hammered into there heads. It all starts with the popularisation of reality!! ______Oh, and by the way, people like myself don't just shutup and go away...DEAL WITH IT!!

quote:Brilliant!! The best animated story you will see this year (or any year for that matter). The best animated story, I've seen this year was princess mononoke. That was killer, and it did the whole nature trip, avoiding the corny Disney style of approach!!

Would it be possible for the establishment of a "sticky" post, for BC enthusiasts too post ideas for wanted features, in upcoming BC titles? Wouldn't this be better, keeping idea's in one post rather than, 'Whishlists' just popping up in all over the board? It also gives me a chance to blurt my guts out.. It's important that people see this as a good thing!! Lets face it; children have little awareness during youth. Who is ANYONE too bring someone up in a religion, when they don't really have a choice in opting out. That point goes much deeper into society than just the pledge. It needs to be a choice later on in life, where an intelligent being can decide if the bible (or any religious literature, for that matter) is fact.

quote:There was something about the look of Trek movies in the 80s that Berman and his crew haven't been able to reproduce.I thought so too; none of the new Star Trek or Star Wars films have been good. They spend too much focus on the special FX! Hopefully, the new ST film will be a pleasant surprise (unlike some unnamed, resent series)

I can't wait for the abolishment of NASA, and the establishment of Galcom!!! No, seriously, probing the galaxy should be mans prime objective, not bench top blenders. That's a second priority to the reasons on why were here! Imagine a real international space program, bigger than Americas & Russia's put together!! I'm thinkin' big again.

There are about 15 stars close to sol!! Alpha Centauri(as shown in BCM) been the closest. All have a possibility of containing a solar system like ours. This Jupiter like planet, is in a system out-side the 25 mark. -Just some useless information;)

quote:...lemme guess, you folks don't know how to frigging use paragraphs either? *sheesh* I tried, that's what the edit is for. It didn't work for some reason. quote:Have you really been so brainwashed by the media and the government to think that everyone is equal and just because you petted one tiger and he bit off your hand doesn't mean that all tigers will do it?Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Does s11 abolish this? BTW (with media like that), if anyone, it will be you that is brainwashed!! [ 06-10-2002, 23:16: Message edited by: Rosko ]

Remember I live in Australia, I have had a late night, and on my TV, a show came on called 20/20 from ABC(form America). There was a reporter that went to Saudi Arabia, to interview the parents of alleged s11 terrorists. The interview started with two loving parents saying how they couldn't deny the fact that there sons could be the terrorists, but they where also raising the point, that they may have not been the terrorists. (they just happened to be on that flight.) Then, she posed the question that the FBI had produced solid evidence, that they had been the hijackers. The parents then stated they couldn't trust the FBI, because they hadn't personally given them any evidence. This is the bit that I cracked up in... The interviewer then said that the Saudi authorities had publicly stated they would "believe" anything the FBI investigation would come up with. This was like implying; 'You're government agrees with us, so that means YOU have to agree with us!' For god sakes, there normal parents, how are they meant to trust foreign authorities with out any proof!!!!!!! Straight after the interview, the interviewer did a commentary on the report. She kept on saying the parents where in total denial about how there children where murderers. Now to my point, for all the American posters here (the majority of the board, no doubt), please reaffirmed, this program I have watched is just a bias report, not the majority of the US media approach to the issue? (even though at the end of the report, it claimed it was America's number 1# ratting news channel.) With news like that, I certainly hope not. [ 06-10-2002, 16:16: Message edited by: Rosko ]
