A somewhat scaled back version of this film from the original 70-90 million dollar budget once Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett pulled out Still looking forward to it though.

From what i have read Cruise wasnt going to renew his contract anyway and Sumner Redstone pulled the old " You cant quit you're fired " routine. I just know they aren't really trying to convince us that an actor that has put 6 BILLION dollars in thier pocket got let go cause he MAY be a whack job?.....and Mel Gibson still has a studio deal? Please... in Hollyweird money talks and bullshit walks and Paramount is strolling right now. Case of soup grapes, publicist spin control plain and simple.

Aldi will be competetive in this country and if Wal Mart doesnt watchout could be a serious threat to them in the next ten years, Aldi's: Opens stores in any size site. Has never closed a store in the us due to lack of business Pays a very high wage to its employee's (here in Pgh thier cashiers make around 12-15 dollars and hour and mgrs make 20.00 per) Has house brands that are better than any of the Local supermarket discount brands and has a good selection of nationally known products. The local one in my area (Shaler Pa) opened three years ago and while in there the first week I laughed and told my wife " Buy all you can they will be gone in a month" The Mgr said never happen we are here to stay. While they are primarily a supermarket they sell suprisingly good Consumer electronics made by thier parent company( In Germany). My friend bought a gaming rig while shopping for a bag of cashews. The store we shop in is four times smaller than any wal mart yet still manages to be highly competetive. Mark my words. Last year MsNBC did a feature on them and revealed they are the second most recognizable brand in Germany behind Mercedes-Benz

SC for God's sake leave your loin out of this! I will see this as Phillip K Dick is one of the best least heard of writers in the Genre. Movies made from his stories usually are pretty good (Blade Runner)

The hokey english translation and accompanying promotional tie-ins must have fooled me. It seemed a lot like GI Joe and its ilk. I stand corrected. i love anime , although early generation stuff was my cup of tea: TOBOR 8Man Prince Planet Astroboy

Saw this again on the normal screen and must admit it lacked the presence it had on IMAX. Some of the overall ambience of the Imax version may have dulled my senses to some of the points you guys have raised. However I still think the FF4 references are wayyy off base. I would suggest to anyone who hasnt seen it to see the IMX version. Non IMAX version rating 8/10

Yes for the little one and I am a sucker for Kurt Russell and Superhero movies. Also the chick who plays Kurts wife looks awesome in her SH costume. Consider it a lessor live action Incredibles.

Never forget he is a child. Having this much anger and resentment at a CHILD is not healthy. Children are our responsibility and they are reflections of the people who raise them You have a problem with your brother and that is where you need to start. I would also make it clear that until your brother exerted more control over his son, neither is welcome at your home. Lastly ,and i know this wont be popular, if you are up to it , try to find a way to have fun with this kid in an environment that is conducive to him beimg who he is. ( I had a similar incident and took my nephew Paintballing. It gave me the chance to show him that things were different we he and I hung out, and that I expected more of him.) Kids really want structure and discipline and they act out when neither is provided. What happened was that Pat, (my nephew) conducted himself diferently around me cause I had higher expectations. If we were at Chucky Cheese and he acted out, I immediately took him home. No empty threats, no deals, and importantly no screaming or *****ing, simply removed him from a pleasant situation without acting out in anger. Do that a few times and you will see that he recognizes you not he , is in charge

The plot seems kind of familiar...(Sky High?) For sure I'll be dragged to this one by the Evil One aka my daughter Susan.I wont protest too much, it seems kinda cool. I loved Galaxy Quest too.

I thought the cartoon was stupid, in effect a 30 minute commercial like much of the dreck that was on saturday morning. I hope the movie is better than the source material which was IMO a fecal stain on American animation history

The plot holes everyone refers to are no worse than any I've seen in any other Superhero movie. To compare this to the Hulk or FF is is just plain wrong. Certain films have a built in handicap,unlike Batman who is a all technology and rage, with Supes, you must suspend disbelif because the premise of an Alien superpowered savior is wayy out side the norm. Even Spidey and the X-Men are just humans who have had extraordinary things happen to them. This movie worked for me in a big way and I am not an Easy sell. As far as comparing it to other movies...apples and oranges. Batman Begins is a great reboot, but the first Batman Michael Keaton was a great film as well. For me this film is in the upper rank of the genre along with X2 slightly under Spiderman and clearly ahead of all the second tier films. Just my opinion
