  1. OK, I liked the first two. So kill me. The third one is even sicker, with death coming up with even more new and inventive ways of claiming its victims. However, there is quite a twist in this one. If you liked the first two, you'll love this one. 9/10
  2. It is frigging hilarious. If you like Steve Martin that is. He did a really good job with this character. There wasn't a single dull moment in the theatre; not even when Martin was attempting to be serious. Its a brilliant romp and well executed. I plan to see it again. 9/10
  3. Its rubbish. I fracking hate it and have no intentions of wasting any more of my time even bothering with it. I'll wait for the DVD for this season when it comes out. I thought I hated Enterprise; but I think BSG takes my resentment to a whole different level. There is no fracking what this rubbish is going to last as long as ones like SG1 or even SGA have lasted.
  4. quote: Originally posted by DeepFreeze: I don't know. From what I've read about Vista, it just sounds like WinXP with some neato skins. Am I missing something? Yes, you're missing a lot. Better go back and actually read the plethora of resources out there about Vista because you're not even close.
  5. Well, time to start reading up on Vista. I've been playing around with it (I have an MSDN sub) for some time now and all I have to say is that the leap from XP is like going from WIN98 to WINXP. I suspect that when released, PC games will only support WINXP and Vista. Not surprising. Is anything actually still running WIN98?
  6. According to Bungie I have to agree with this statement: Some folks of course were happy, but happy people on the internet are WEIRD EXCEPTIONS. The internet is fueled solely by rage.
  7. If you are familiar with GBS, then you should already be familiar with the SAD, SEAD and CAP commands. They are documented, as is that parameter.
  8. It is of no use to me. As I said before, I can't fix what I can't reproduce. I did everything I could and spent enough time on this. So, whoever is having this problem, needs to look at their video drivers because this has nothing to do with intruders. It seems to have to do with the window scrolling.
  9. v1.00.12.05 is up. Check the VCF for revision info. This is the last version. If not glitches are found, it will go live on Monday. This contains two new challenging scenarios. IA0119 and IA0120. I seriously doubt that anyone will be able to complete either one without using cheats. The new audio system sure beefs up the performance. Particularly, if you can run IA0119 with the following settings, you're in for a treat. Resolution=1280x1024 Texture Filtering=ANISO HIGH Lighting Quality=HIGH FSAA=2x NPC GUN SOUNDS=ALL Terrain Visibility=HIGH (or MAX) Particularly in IA0119, flying NOE with the joystick and AHS disabled en-route to the target area, will [help] save your life. Trust me on this. [ 02-11-2006, 08:40 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

  12. DOOM movie producer on why it failed He also explained the reason for the somewhat unimpressive Doom theatrical release. "We checked every decision with the creators. We tried to balance what they wanted with what the studio wanted. But it got whittled down to a very basic story instead a sophisticated sci-fi story. There comes a point when studios will say its just not worth it.
  13. This could be bloody if it gets out of hand

  24. Joystiq has a post which caused thousands of people to raise their eyes heavenward in thanks. Uwe Boll will never direct a Metal Gear Solid film. From the article, which relays information from Kojima's ongoing podcast series: "Host Ryan Payton delivers a message from Kojima-san dispelling recent 'nasty rumors' that Uwe Boll is being considered to direct an upcoming Metal Gear Solid movie. Says Kojima: 'Absolutely not! I don't know why Uwe Boll is even talking about this kind of thing. We've never talked to him. It's impossible that we'd ever do a movie with him.'"
  25. They're lying. The game has been delayed for a full year to 2007. A game nearing Beta approval doesn't get delayed for a full year. Apparently THQ has reined them in and taken control of the project. During THQ's financial conference call to discuss their latest results, company execs revealed that two of their main PC titles, the Gas Powered Games RTS title Supreme Commander and the long-in-development GSC Gameworld first person shooter STALKER, will now be released during THQ's 2007 fiscal fourth quarter which means they are now targeted for release between January and March of 2007.
