  2. Read the FAQ, the VCF and the Manual Revisions file before posting ANYTHING in here. I'm serious. No, really, I am.
  3. Patch released. Subject changed
  4. LMAO!!! Oh man, that was rich.
  5. oh yeah, I'd forgotten that I had seen this one. It was LOL funny in some aspects and its classic Jim Carey. I liked it a lot. 9/10

  7. Peter Kane, you are only allowed to have a single profile. I have no idea why you registered twice and with two different aliases. So, guess what? I've deleted both of them. Now you have to re-register.
  8. quote: Originally posted by Numskll: I'm a newbie and a baby. I'm struggling with the learning the game. I wonder if there are fan sites, walk throughs, or other useful newbie information out there. I'm reading the manual and the appendix frequently and repeatedly, though perhaps my reading comprehension is poor, but the game is still daunting to learn. Which game do you have? BCM or BCM Gold? Why don't you just do what the manual suggests? i.e. start with the tutorials and work your way up? Thats how everyone learns.
  9. quote: Originally posted by Sebbish: Well, the Gamespot one claims to be from E3; the IGN one wasn't. Anyone here have Gamespot Complete? Regardless, they're all being taken down. They were sent out by DC as part of their marketing. quote: Originally posted by rvs: Very nice shots....will be standing in line for this release:) Smokin Bob Pah! You want to see shots? Go here.
  10. This is what the game looks like atm shot 1 shot 2 shot 3 shot 4 shot 5 shot 6
  11. It is a FULL patch which can be applied to ANY version of BCM. Check the downloads page for the link. The online VCF has also been updated.
  12. quote: Originally posted by John Stone: Note: I am working on the "REQUIRED" sig. Hey we aren't all HTLM profficient. I am working on it! Thanks for the warning, I guess. Everyone say goodbye to John Stone
  13. Don't waste your time. I have no idea why Dreamcatcher released that video - and without letting me know I might add. Its just. pure. crap. Its not even the E3 build (nor the current one). It has the old interface, the older BCM characters, weapons, terrain etc etc. I so pissed its not funny. Tomorrow is Monday. A lot of people are going to have a very, very bad day.
  14. O.M.G. I have never seen an animated film this good. Took the little one to go see it yesterday and she was thrilled as a bee. Damn this movie was good. Just look how far computer animations have come. The emotions and expressions on otherwise flat entities (fish) was such a fine job I simply couldn't believe it. And what about those sea turtles on the EAC? Man oh man, that was freaky cool!!! She wants to go see it again. So guess where I'll be next weekend. 10/10 quote: Originally posted by Tyrn: One note, I was very upset at the previews, A) they took nearly 20!! minutes. The first one was for Pirates of the Caribbean. While it looks to be a flick I want to see, decaying pirates marching across the screen freaked out my kids. Nemo's a kids' show, what fool thought it a good idea (ethically not marketing wise) to throw such a preview on the screen?! Morons I agree. And just think, the movie is R or PG-13 isn't it? Yet, they show it in a kids movie showing. I can't believe they did that.
  15. quote: Originally posted by peter k kane: Thanks for the help Eclipse,Tyrn and MIKE113. Finally decided to send my AE into FK1 with scorpion as my copilot and did the escort myself with CC on autopilot to Majoris. Worked OK. When I scripted that mission, thats one of the methods I used to testit actually. quote: Still find that the defend order does not work in keeping fighters from attacking hostile starbases miles away from the defend target? If you read the manual, you will see the difference between the ESCORT and DEFEND orders. They are different.
  16. quote: Originally posted by Robert Mel: So, what I gather from the subsequent replies is that when my IFF lights up I should ignore it because all it means is that someone is not sure if I am a friend or hostile. uhm, no. The NPCs have IFF systems of their own. The one on your ship is to make sure you refrain from attacking the currently selected target. If you do and they retaliate, then it is regarded as a direct hostile act and with dire consequences later on. e.g. if you fire on and destroy or damage a friendly, even when the IFF clearly indicates that it is friendly, well then.
  17. quote: Originally posted by Private Cyberoket: Yes I should know my system better but when the VCF (I incorrectly said FAQ in my last post) tells me to edjust BIOS settings, and no other suggestion is working then that tells me i should CHANGE BIOS settings. Then when i could not find most of the effects to change I asked, in this topic. But i got no reply, hence the frustration. As it turns out i jumped on a PC using Windows 98 and wadaya no there's all the settings i couldn't find on XP. I guess that particular fix is not refering to XP. Common sense should tell you that if you don't find a setting in your BIOS, then its not supported in your BIOS? Right? Right. And anything in the FAQ that is OS specific, is clearly indicated as such. quote: Perhaps you should include that info to save sending people on a wild goose chase.Thats right, hold me accountable for problems you caused all on your own. quote: But all that aside, my problem is now sorted. It was a GF2 mx 400 overheating problem causing the CTD, and probly system failure. Now that I've sorted my problems Figures quote: I'll be able to help other newcomers get into this game as smoothly as possible. No you won't because your posting priviledges have been revoked indefinitely. If you circumvent it and re-register, you will be banned from the site. Incompetence (since you have no idea what you're doing with your HW) - at the expense of everyone's time is one thing, disrespect is another. Goodbye. Can this program run on XP and if so how can it be done? I have tried to get the installer to catch agian in hopes that I can run a version compatibility program to it changing it to win 98 but I am having difficulties finding the automatic installation program, Please help, !! TOPIC MOVED You could have saved yourself 8 hours if you had first looked at the system and OS requirements for the program you were downloading.
  19. I just came across Gamespot's review.

  21. quote: Originally posted by left-eye christ: This is a little superfluous, since i got the game working. When I install the game the INI file is called bcmsetup.ini but the patched game creates and uses one called bcsetup.ini. to fix my game i copied the contents of bcmsetup.ini to bcsteup.ini sans the version number, which was already there and correct. I have had no other problems with this great game. You shouldn't have to do that because the bcmsetup.ini file and the bcsetup.ini file are identical. If you applied the patch in the game folder, then it will be handled correctly. Only the file name changed. Here is what the patch does. So, copying the contents is not what fixed your problem. quote: ren bcmconfig.ini bcconfig.ini ren bcmsfx.ini bcsfx.ini ren bcmxpl.ini bcxpl.ini ren bcmsetup.ini bcsetup.ini
  22. It is a FULL patch which can be applied to ANY version of BCM Gold. Check the downloads page for the link. The online VCF has also been updated. [ 12-12-2003, 12:14 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
