heh, well, yesterday was the start of another saga with the hosting company (xgamer.net), I'll spare you the details and just say that this time, they promised - to our attorneys (well, we had to bring out the big guns) - that everything will be sorted out by this coming Sunday night. We'll see. At any rate, Dreamcatcher has given me the OK to release the patch whenever I feel like, however, only LAN games will work until the master/gamer servers are up. I have a Linux auth server undergoing testing right now here on this server (hosted by Pair Networks), so we'll see how it goes.

ah, ok. Your monitor may support it (and the card), but you may not have enough video memory to use it with 32bit screen/texture bitdepth. If you lower those to 16 (at the loss of visual quality), you may be able to run it at that resolution.

Anyway, a copilot handles threat assessment and improves the overall SA of the pair. A copilot can - depending on AI and skills - pilot a fighter after the pilot dies. It is common practice to rotate pilots to different positions during sorties, this way, they can all eventually perform well as either pilots or copilots. And no, there is no gender bending going on, so, male and female pilots are subject to the same AI rules. One gender isn't more superior than the other.

Or you could just have deleted the BCCONFIG.INI file and the game will create a new one with the defaults And how did you get to 1600x1200? Or did you mean 1280x1024, since thats the highest resolution that is exposed in CONFIG. The amount of video card memory determines whether or not a particular video mode will work. Also if you have things like AF (Anisotropic Filter) or AA (Anti-Aliasing) enabled, these can also limit the resolution at which the game (and all games) will run, since the AA settings require more video memory.

The game install is different from the CD check (SafeDisc 2.0) that the game exe uses. If you can't get it to recognize it, then yes, you should trade it in. However, last time I checked, those pricks over at www.gamecopyworld.com has a CD crack for it already. Since its your copy you paid for, you might want to go over there and see if you can find it. If nothing else, it will save you a trip back to EB.
