  3. hehe, so you remembered the question finally! Anyway, the TWI is in the graphic on p24 (look on the lower-left corner) and it is described on p26 When you are on the ground, you will see this symbology as described on p26 The best way to test it is while flying toward a friendly base. Then you can try it on a hostile base. You should also check the appendix (air defense 1/2) for data on the various threat units you are likely to encounter on ingress.
  4. hehe, E5, you got too much time on your hands

Stop and give me a holler before you jam that anti-lizard missile up my tailpipe hey dude!! Welcome to our nice, quiet (not for long) tame corner of the net!!

  12. quote: Originally posted by Masefield: I initially had a tendency to overcompensate and I kept rolling the ship -- I'm sure I was quite a sight leaving spacedock! Yeah, me too. In those cases, just press and hold the 5 key on the numeric keypad until the ship auto-centers itself. The trick is to keep your eye on the FPV and the mouse enable directional pointer*. quote: You know what the best part of mouse control is? I don't have to drag my joystick to work. Yep. It works great on my laptop too, even when using the finger pad. *would you believe that I put in a new system in the game WITHOUT an acronym?!?! See page 68-69 of the new manual to see what I'm talking about (thats where mouse flight controls are). Just wait until I get around to doing the BCG manual. I'm gonna get even.
  13. Culled from this thread quote: Originally posted by ShoHashi: Just noticed a BCMG Development Test Server up on ASE. Getting close, I'd wager! I swear the SC is teasing us! Yeah, I had eight servers (five on the new public site and three in my office) up earlier today and we were stress testing and load balancing. Thinking that nobody would be able to see them (except us devs and Dreamcatcher crew) in the in-game browser (need a BCMG.EXE update), let alone be able to connect to them, I flat out forgot that those with the stand-alone ASE browser would be able to see them *and* connect!!! Once my firewall started coughing up mothballs, I turned around and looked at one server screen. Thats when I knew that some folks were trying to connect (some did and I kicked them off)!! So I disabled the master server reporting and all the servers disappeared from scanners. Just be patient guys, hopefully it will be worth the wait for you as it has been for us. As of now, the hardware is all done. The ISP (xgamer.net had a problem with server #4 yesterday and it has been resolved now with replacement hardware.

I was going to reply here, but I want to keep the topics in the proper forum, so go here to see what I said. quote: Originally posted by Stormshadow: If anyone is interested, I am running a teamspeak server. We were running Roger Wilco and Teamspeak tests yeterday from within BCMG. Works great! [ 04-10-2003, 10:23 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  15. Well, according to Fox and some other news orgs. Until it shows up on CNN; complete with no less than ten experts saying its true, I'm not believing it. D:
  16. Neither did I, untill I came across this : quote: Scott Ritter: Iraq Will Crush U.S. "The U.S. is going to leave Iraq with its tail between its legs, defeated. It is a war we cannot win," claims pro-Iraq former U.N. arms inspector Scott Ritter. "We do not have the military means to take over Baghdad, and for this reason I believe the defeat of the U.S. in this war is inevitable," he told TSF radio in Lisbon, Portugal, according to Agence France-Presse. "Every time we confront Iraqi troops we may win some tactical battles, as we did for 10 years in Vietnam, but we will not be able to win this war, which in my opinion is already lost."
  17. quote: Originally posted by Blades: Ok, who's using fleet addresses at the moment? Ya'll know theres a problem with the domain so do as the man says and sort your profiles out. Nova is the third person so far that I have had to warn about it.
  18. quote: Originally posted by Tac: test of avatar.. Looks wicked. What is it?
  19. If you ladies don't check your profiles and enter a proper email address, come Friday I'm going to seek out and destroy ALL profiles which contain this invalid email address domain (e.g. [email protected]). FINAL WARNING!!!
  20. Nova the n00b's email to your @orionfleet.com address bounced because that server no longer exists. Didn't I send a notice out to you Orion folks informing you that if you keep causing my server to be spammed with failed email sends that I was going to delete ALL profiles that had that email address in it?
  21. quote: Originally posted by Cruis. In: hate to break the table, but i like the idea of the mouse flight controls. uhm, isn't this thread supposed to be for those who have actually tried mouse flight in BCMG? You don't even have the game yet. So, siddown!
  22. Looks pretty clear to me quote: Because there is no nav chart for this galaxy, most of the fun will be in exploring it. Bring a big gun. All the new scenarios included in BCM Gold, take place in this new galaxy. [ 04-09-2003, 06:22 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  23. Where did the question originate from? Anyway, that galaxy is only available in the new IA and ACM scenarios. Just like it says in the game's readme.rtf file. It is not accessible from the main game galaxy, nor from the galaxy available in the BCM IA scenarios. In BCG, in addition to its own galaxy, I plan on linking them all.
  24. Lets give the poor guy credit where credit is due. He is a diehard supporter of his regime and quite obviously he's going to do his job until he can no longer do it. Thats not very different from the war we are fighting, is it? What if we had half-ass combat troops who surrendere at the first sound of a gunshot or who quit when a team of their buddies gets wasted by a suicide bomber? If this guy survives this, who knows, he'll probably be lobbying for a new job. After all, he has proven - without a doubt - that he'll die doing his job. Poor fool.
