Given your budget, the GF3 was the best choice

Seeing your units on the full planet tac-ops map
Supreme Cmdr replied to PegasusJF's topic in Universal Combat Series
zoom-to/support units/ takes you directly to the unit in question if you are currently observing the planet they are on. -
I thought it quite good. A slow thriller that you could sit through. 8/10

I didn't read the book. And don't plan on it. But I DID want to see the movie because I thought it was a thriller etc When I went to see it yesterday evening, NOTHING prepared me for the goriness of it all. I left right in the middle of the bathroom scene. Those of you who have read the book - or seen the movie - know what I'm talking about. What's with Hollywood and this gratuitious gore? I simply cannot imagine that the five mins of gore I saw before leaving, Stephen was able to actually put in writing. So, those of you who have seen it, did it get any better past that scene?

Fact is, thats what you get when you pick unscreend low life scumbags - posing as gamers - from the general gaming public. Which is why I don't do it and carefully hand pick mine.

Starstations are still sitting ducks for cloak raids.

quote: Originally posted by PegasusJF: Having seen responses in earlier posts that showed that the problem was noted. I put BCM aside and kept an eye on the VCF for fixes that addressed this problem and waited for the full release of 1.08. It was never a problem It was never reported nor acknowledged as such There is nothing wrong with it. Hence nothing to fix. It works as designed and is not subject to revision - at least not in BCM or BCMG. If you feel you so bad about it, don't cloak. Make your own difficulty level. Easy enough I think. No? -

For those of you nostalgic ones who are attached to the legacy IC MK1 from BC3K, lived through its re-incarnation in BCM....NOTHING will prepare you for what the BCG variant looks like. Below are some shots which will probably bring out the bedwetting geek in you. http://www.3000ad.com/pics/bcg/photo555.png http://www.3000ad.com/pics/bcg/photo556.png http://www.3000ad.com/pics/bcg/photo557.png http://www.3000ad.com/pics/bcg/photo558.png http://www.3000ad.com/pics/bcg/photo559.png http://www.3000ad.com/pics/bcg/photo560.png btw, that last shot shows the mouse flight control in action. Also, since these are PNG shots (2x AA, 4x Aniso), you might want to right-click and download them, then view on your machine locally. Those shots average about 700K each.

Playmod cheat utility released
Supreme Cmdr replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in Battlecruiser Millennium
I have uploaded a Playmod compiled with the 1.08.36 kernel. The previous 1.08.32 version should still been compatible with the current game however. -
quote: Originally posted by TheBunny: Now to find the disk I should check the relese dates to see if i should buy another BCM of wait for BCM gold or BCG. and when i do find the disk im going to launch a OTS missle and then beam to itys location to see what the animation looks like. BCM Gold went Gold yesterday and should be hitting the streets around the end of the month to first week April. The DC folks should be making the announcement sometime this week I think. So, if you're going to buy another copy, wait for BCM Gold. BCG is a good six months off. All things being equal.

quote: Originally posted by TheBunny: I always thought it was because coding in deleteing all structures on the planet and changing the terrain would be alot easier than animating an explosion and a breaking apart planet, followed by deleteing all of the structures inluding the planet, and all of the ways to enter it or take off. Rubbish First of all, everything on the planet is destroyed/killed and the terrain altered accordingly. Setting off more than one RANDOM on the same planet is a waste of a good weapon because one does the job just fine. What you are talking about is the removal of the 3D object representing the planet as seen from space. I'm not going to do that because it is part of the game world structure similar to have a window in a first person game level and I don't want to remove it because then I'd have to save the state in the save game, alter a bunch of code to support it etc etc RANDOM was specifically designed to destroy everything ON a planet (read the appendix. The English version I mean) and never was designed to destroy the planet itself - even if I allowed it to. Its not a planet killer. Pre-emptive strike : No, I'm NEVER going to implement planet killer weapons a BC game. Ever.

Saw this over at Lancer Reactor. quote: Warning - this info will destroy MP freelancer for you. If you do this, your game is basicly over. You can go anywhere, kill anything. This is posted mainly as an example of how flawed the economic engine of the game is. The following was done on an open server, with PvP on. No cheats were used whatsoever. 00:00 Launch. Destroyed Cargo dumps. Don't waste batteries or nanobots, just let your ship die if caught. 00:10 Sold all weapons and nanobots. Purchaced 20 light arms at Detroit Munitions Departed for Montezuma base. Nothing in Liberty is agressive anymore. 00:22 Arrived at Montezuma. Sold Light arms. Bought 16 Carmadine 00:35 Arrived at Manhattan. Sold Carmadine. Bought a Rhino and Hfeul 00:39 Arrived at Detroit Munitions. Sold HFeul. Bought 80 Light Arms 00:51 Arrived at Montezuma. Sold Light Arms. Bought 60 Carmadine.Got jumped outside, but easily outran the rogue ships 01:01 Arrived at Manhattan. Sold Carmadine. Bought Hfeul. 01:03 Arrived at Detroit. Sold HEfeul. Bought 80 Light Arms 01:11 Arrived at Montezuma. Sold Light Arms. Left Empty. Total banked: 163k 01:20 Arrived at Mactan base. Bought Dromedary and 132 Carmadine. Got jumped again, and had to use 11/12 shield batteries, but escaped. 01:31 Arrived at Manhattan. Sold Carmadine. Total 198k. Bought Hfeul. 01:34 Arrived at Detroit. Sold Hfeul. Bought Light Arms. Total: 206k 01:43 Arrived at Montezuma. Sold Light Arms. Bought Carmadine. Total 353k 01:52 Arrived at Manhattan. Sold Carmadine. Bought Hfeul. Total 587k 01:54 Arrived at Detroit. Sold Hfeul. Bought Light Arms. Total 595. 02:27 Arrived at Malta. Sold Light Arms. Total 941k. Bought Sabre. 02:49 Returned to Malta with 4 nomad guns, 2 class 9 guns, and enough cash to buy a class 10 shield. Game over. Does this make me a good player? Hardly. My first kill in the game was a nomad. I was able to manipulate the faction system to keep myself virtually unattacked for most of the game. Any moron can pull this off. Even you.

There too many user controlled ships in the game to even attempt doing bridge/cockpit bitmaps for any of them. So, its not going to happen.

Why do you ladies keep posting BCG feature questions when I've already posted the fully descriptive feature list. The next person who does that is going to be staring at this --->
