Be sure to keep it safe next time -

www.bootdisk.com has a wider selection of boot disks.

As soon you figure out how to do a fresh install by wiping out the HDD (since its not usable anyway, according to what you're saying) and installing from scratch, you'll be fine. In fact, that is the most simplest install method. ....unless of course you don't have a machine which allows booting from a CDROM.

Its not a bug. Its one of the many ways to get around stuff in the game. ....but I might just plug it by sticking a timer in that routine. Moving to BC fun stuff thread. [ 12-10-2002, 10:36 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Well, it had to happen at some point. Who were they kidding, that this could go on checked forever and that the Net, now a haven for misfits, would continue to be, virtually lawless. I can't wait for the US govt. to take over the Net and declare it a terrorist zone.

Looks like its coming back.....in quite a different form. Thank God its only a mini-series.

Setting up a mod to run in BCM

quote: Originally posted by Sebbish: Wow that is a great ship. I love the design of it. All of the BC ships have great design. They are kind of like Star Trek IMO: they look really cool with elaborate design. Yeah, Jason did a great job with those original design and Fred has clear instructions from me not to deviate too much from those original designs. It is really, really hard to find someone who has an eye for the design of sci-fi assets, let alone their modeling. And it is amazing how I end up finding and picking the best people to do the job. Jason is buried with stations and other assets, giving them the same high end treatment for BCG. All the asset guys are very, very good and dedicated. Now with the increased requirements of BCG, some pretty amazing stuff can be done. Anyway, wait for the demo due out next year. [ 12-09-2002, 05:49 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

They have the ability to fly light years through space to come and visit our little planet. And the first thing they do when they get here is turn on their landing lights. What the hell do they need with lights. every UFO you see has cute little blinking lights. ahahahahaha!!! Man, this is getting outta hand, isn't it? Funny you should mention the Aestrom, thats what Fred is currently working on - and in tandem with the Starcarrier ps: Wolferz, whats up with your post? Please edit and fix it.

All 42 shots are now up! These shots show the revised Stormcarrier carrier as well as some shots of the revised terrain. With a model database of over 250+ units, each unit is getting a complete overhaul to take advantage of graphics improvements including high poly counts, detail, glow, specular, bump maps. Other enhancements include self shadowing, real-time dynamic lighting (which complement the realistic day/night effects), as well as several pixel and vertex shader effects. I dunno if I'm just biased or what, but those space shots don't grab me at all. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to playing it. Lets hope that after almost six years, it doesn't end up being another Starlancer.

MS finally unveiled their Freelancer page and released 30 new shots http://www.microsoft.com/games/freelancer/ http://www.lancersreactor.com/t/art/thumbs.asp?dir=fl

I don't have an opinion either way, but I swear if they don't show themselves soon, I'm going to have to go looking. Anyway, while waiting for DraconisRex to come up with his conspiracy theories, as mentioned in that Taken thread, I came across this. So, let the debate begin! I don't care who wins, just show me where they're hiding and I'm there! EDIT: Oh, and since this one has already been solved, can we all go home now then? In some of the shots tomorrow, you will see me flying around with an S-Fighter (not the new BCG version cuz Fred hasn't done it yet), attempting to dock in the rear docking bay - while the carrier is in motion. ....makes me want to put in manual docking. But that ain't gonna happen in BCG. You have to wait for BCO to do that. So don't bother asking me again.

Gammulans rejoice! Man, this ship came out so well, I couldn't stop pissing around with it. I am going to release a total of about 50 shots on Monday. Until then, these should tide over a slow weekend. EDIT: All 42 shots are now up! [ 12-09-2002, 10:13 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Hack The Agency Firefly John Doe Robbery Homicide Division Without A Trace Law & Order Law & Order : SVU Law & Order : CI Fastlane (ok, its fluff - but its fun) Monk (whenever I can frigging find who is showing it) CSI (I don't like the Miami rendition) [ 12-08-2002, 07:59 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

I saw this one last weekend but forgot to post about it. It was better than I expected and has a lot of extreme footage that'd make you weep. 8/10
