As to the disappearing posts, this was a problem due to the fact that the old UBB posts had to be re-imported in order to fix the bug in the exporter in which the user who made the post was not carried over. From Invision

Where? That could probably explain the disappearing posts. EDIT: OK, I see them now. Since that seems to be only in the news forum which only has RSS feeds, that could be an isolated bug.

Whatever happened yesterday to the boards (while Invision were working on it), has resulted in the loss of some posts (every post since the new board was opened on 09-17) in this thread. I have reported it to them, though it is highly unlikely that we'd get them back. I hope this is a just a glitch because in all the years of using UBB, we never ever lost a post.

Since the game is no longer supported, those files are no longer available.

The BC games are different from the UC games in many areas.

I LOVE this show. Jeffrey Donovan is really good in this and I love the creativity of the plot lines. He had another show in which he had a bullet in his head. That was a good one too, but they canned it. I've forgotten what network that was on. Stupid networks; and they wonder why they can't keep their audience.

Well, we own all the UBB data, so I'm sure that when Invision and Mark migrate the site, we'll keep all the images so that you can just re-select your previous avatar images. Yeah, its quite impressive. And unlike UBB which uses flat files, using mySQL. I bought both the IP.Board and IP.Downloads add-on.

The end will throw you a curve ball u didn't see coming. But what _will_ piss you off (as it did me) is that Jet and Jason only got to tussle once - ONCE - ONCE!! And that was a the END of the movie and it lasted shorter than a pee break with.....you know what, it was _the_ worst part of the movie. You go through the whole movie waiting for a showdown that _never_ happens as in the realms of these two martial artists really pushing some serious moves. I was _so_ disappointed, I'm docking it 2 points just for that. You can get better action renting one of Van Damme's or Seagal's straight to DVD movies. This end fight was nothing but a cop out because since these two usually play heroes, I guess they didn't one to show up the other, but still. 7/10

This past weekend, in addition to moving the website from the old legacy box on Pair to a zippy new box (and service) at Aplus.net, we also moved the multiplayer master and key authentication server from Hypernia to a new box Aplus.Net. The server is not yet backup, so cd-key authentication and master server broadcasting (of reporting servers) will be down for a bit. We're going to be also hosting a few new servers for UCCE multiplayer by the time it is released during the first week of October.

Yep, it went quite well, though we had some hairy moments over the weekend during the move from Pair to Aplus.net, but it all worked out it seems. btw, we're going to be upgrading UBB to Invision IP.Board during the next week or so as well. Since all the forum threads can be migrated, we won't lose anything. A bunch of background items (fleets dB, registration dB etc) are all going to be revamped during this major upgrade as well.

Yes, all G7 cards support SM 2.0. So you're in good shape. Boy, those cards are getting cheap! They must be trying to get rid of old stock to make way for the DX10 cards. Anyway, you get what you pay for, since the performance on a sub-$50 card is probably abysmal.

Oh great. I have two episodes (the premier included) already recorded (BeyondTV) and waiting to be watched. So maybe I should just delete them and kill the recording schedule then? I mean, is it that bad? If its as bad as those Sci-Fi Channel Presents bad movies, then its pretty bad. I think the guys at Sci-Fi have finally lost it.

...oh, and we're going to move the server from the PC XT thats its running on now, to a faster server since the new CMS (Content Management System) is probably using up all that 128K of memory on the box. Hence the slowdown. Seriously. The server (on Pair Networks) was setup on 03/01 and upgraded on 11/01. I don't even want to tell you what hardware its running on.

Well, its been almost a decade since the last site design was done (in 1998). So, Mark's been working on a new design which went live today. Its not finished yet as some content (graphics, widgets etc) still need to be put in place, but its a good - clean - start.
