  11. Somehow we have turned to the topic of children's programming and the effect it has on the the mature ( yeah right) male psyche. I have been home for the better part of the week with a sick child during pledge month on PBS thus I have been subject to insane quantities of the same show being repeated for three hours at a time... As a result gentlemen I give you the following list as the most tolerable/intolerable of present children's programming for Men: The good: 1) Clifford the big red dog - Im a guy therefore I love dogs even big red freakish ones, I am also glad that John Ritter has finally found some work as a cartoon voice guy. 2) Redwall - I dont care if they are Mice , If they carry swords and can use magic they are okay by me. 3) Dragon Tales - I like dragons, it goes back to my D&D days. I just cant hate a show that has dragons in it. 4) Slim Pig - the name and theme song just make me laugh. A 2d pig in a 3d world. A classic. 5) Book of POOH - Yes I actually laugh out loud at Tigger, eeyore is the best potential suicide character on TV. Pooh has a substance addiction. Kind of reminds me of my family growing up. The Bad: 1) Teletubbies - WHat the F*%$ is this ? No really I'm not kidding , I have no idea what this is? 2) Barney - I like dragons but I hate Dinosaurs, god that show drives me nuts. 3) Sagwa the Chinese Siamese Cat- I like dogs therefore I hate cats. 4) Elmo - Anything Rosie O'Donnel likes I am forced to hate. 5) Caillou - My god this kid never stops whining and crying. Cripes if my little girl grows up like that she will end up hospitalized and in Prozac before she is 10. Why does he have no damn hair? Give the little s*&^ some hair and maybe he will shut up. There you have it Dad's. The next time you are trapped home keep these shows in mind or you may very well lose yours. Cheers

    MEDIC!

Cripes Tyrn... OUCH... I still remember the first time I got my lil' buddy caught in my zipper. I was only five at the time. Still damn near brings me to tears. I ve never prayed for someones nut before... In fact I dont pray much at all.... maybe I will call my Mom, she prays for anything... I'm pretty sure this will be her first nut though. Take care bud. Keep em on ice. Cheers
  16. Based on the general level of respect and and intelligence that is shown on this board. I think we should assume that Dredd meant this as a joke, a little shot at some of our "stereotypes" as a way to vent a little frustration. Sometimes things you type or print dont accurately convey the true intent of your thoughts. It was meant as a good natured shot....right Dredd? If not then I must admit that I am dissappointed by your comments as well and suggest that maybe this thread should be closed before things get a little too out of hand. Cheers
  17. sweet very sweet..
  18. All my best Orthae, that is pretty serious stuff, take care of yourself. I look forward to your return. Cheers
  19. Great news guys!! the tests came back negative and my daughter, was released home last night. Apparently the infection is bacterial not viral and seems to be a "strep" infection as opposed to meningitis ( a viral infection). We still have to keep a close eye on her and medicate her for the next 10 days but she should be fine. Anyway, look guys I really appreciate the messages of support and all your kind words. I know I havent been around here long but all the good will you sent means alot to me. It will take me a while to get back in to the swing of things, I have to get my business back up to speed. I will let you know when I am available to come off of leave. Cheers
  20. Gang , My daughter Morgan is in the hospital in isolation, in ICU, they have run blood work and suspect possible meningitis, we will know on Sat evening when the cultures have been grown. She may have to be flown to another centre for treatment. This may be a similar situation to what Jaguar's friend's daughter has gone through. It could be very bad, it may not, it all depends. Until you hear from me again consider me on a leave of absence. Sean Mudge "Oban"
  21. Well done, Simple and easy to navigate with limited popups. Cheers
  22. I liked his review because it reeked of an honest opinion. In the end I didn't actually really care about the review's pans of BCM I just really enjoyed reading a review that someone wrote with an honest opinion. He had no preconcieved notions about BCM or Derek and gave it his best shot. It just wasnt his bag of beans. He had me laughing like crazy at the mental picture of everyone on the starstation looking out he window as he completed the "grand" manouver of sucessfully launching and retrieving a fighter only to have his shuttle stolen. To boldly go... that was very funny Cheers
  23. Oh my God, where do you guys find this stuff? Where do all these people live? First its mouse boy and his war against vermin now its the backyard ninja ( they kind of look like the backstreet boys dint you think?)... "chop your head off??".. you have got to be kidding ....lol Cheers
  24. Nathilus, We have a good group here. You made the right choice. Welcome aboard. Cheers
  25. damn that was funny. Cheers
