SC, I gave UC (patched 2.00.30) a quick go setting it at 1280x1024 with all the bells and whisltes except for preload 3dmodels it's runs very smooth not a single pause. So far no graphic glitches. Seems this motherboard is everything the reviews said it was and this 3700+ chip is great even though it's not dual core. Haven't reloaded the UC saved games yet. I have to find the backup cd disk. I had taken UC off a little while ago to make room for other games and I backed up the saved games. Dang if I can remember the cd I put it on. I got tons of cd's around here. The motherboard does a have a few cons though. Like the where they put the AGP slot. The ATI card's heat sink and fan make it impossible to put a third pci card ya have to use just the two lower ones. Lucky for me the only pci cards I have are the sound and network card. The mb does have a Network built in 10/100 but my card is 10/100/1000 and a sound chip but I've turned them off in the bios and will reserve them in case my pci cards fail. The other issu, as I have mentioned, is the floppy connector. You do need a floppy to make a raid driver disk when fresh installing windows but I'm using the Sata drive as non-raid and you don't need to do that. Other than that, all is fine. All I know is that I'm going to have to some serious fun. As for the sig, looks like I'm gunna have to wait 'till I get UCAWA. Seems I did register UC, it's slowly coming back to me, but it didn't reset the game to UC but kept it as BCM. I recieved an already registered. Actually, wasn't there a way to change the system profile without going through the registration? Anyway, once I get everything back to where it was I'll play a bunch of games and give you a run down on the real world frame rates in them.

Well, my computer parts came yesterday and installed it overnight. Everything is smooth as silk. Computer has been on for hours and the temps are great. No instability issues yet. Haven't gotten around to the games yet. All I can say is holy cow this thing boots and runs fast at stock speed not overclocking. Will do the games later on today when I get back from work.

The way I look at it, by the time I get my butt to getting a PCI-E video card I'll just get another motherboard with it also. Until then, I'll be more than happy with I got. Remember I'm just upgrading from an amd 2000+ 256mb and 4x agp slot. In your honest opinion, don't you think I'm getting a pretty decent upgrade for the price? Not that I'm looking for validation. Anyway, when I first went to the ENT clinic (ear, nose and throat) and they took my history quess what the first question they asked. Do you smoke. I told them I never have smoked. Well, they were at a complete loss. This condition mostly occurs in smokers due to the fact that smoke particles can build up in a saliva duct and block it. They could come up with no other answer than what to them should have been obvious: Smoking. They made no attempt to find out what could have caused this condition other than smoking. Do you see where I'm heading with this? Anyway, now I'm probably just relegated to some off curve anamoly on their smoking and parotid gland study. BTW: I do smoke now. Started back in 2002. Long story. Let's just say it wasn't a happy event.

I did find out what that future M2 processor connection on the motherboard I'm getting is all about: M2 socket and DDR2 You know it's getting very crowded out there with all the selections of CPU cores.

Flavia Nunes and Richard Norris have offered an article worthy of freshman geology students. I'm completely shocked over this article. I had thought that the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in California was a place of high standards. I don't know much about these two but it doesn't say anywhere that they are paleo geologists. They also have woefully neglected many other variables (other than the most often used increased volcanic activity). Sure, volcanic activity may have increased and caused this past phenomena but what caused this increase in volcanic activity? Anyway, before I believe any scientist anymore, I want to know everything about them. As in, do they have an agenda etc...
