  2. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: ... diving off the side of a carrier means you probably won't make it back since your craft (on deck) would be too far for you to get back on. I'm confused. Last time I tried entering the naval craft(s), I could target (via D.I.E) and enter most of the subs ... at least some of them bobbed up and down in the water so, by timing it just right, I didn't need to dive beyond "breath-holding" limits. And my jetpack came in handy for getting back aboard a seaworthy carrier. Guess I need to go back and see what's changed.
  3. quote:Originally posted by Krill: Ok im waiting for response from the recruiting officer..... Things are pretty much at a standstill until the Prime Fleet website is back up. Think of it this way: all the doors to the Academy building are locked and the commandant doesn't have the key.
  4. quote:Originally posted by Kung-Fu Massa: Now the senate has asked me to attack a town on Corsica (the island north of Sicily).Sardinia is north of Sicily. Corsica is north of Sardinia. So, while you're at it, go ahead and sack Sardinia. If you run into Pedizzi and Caredda, put 'em in chains and feed 'em to the lions.
  5. quote:Originally posted by Osjuan: I still can't get on MP for BCMG. It keeps saying server not detected.Check to make sure you've set the options on the MP log-in page ... the ones you see on the right-hand side, next to the window with the error message. If you haven't set it for Internet and your connection type/speed, change it ... then please PM me that this was the problem.
  6. Kal, I assume that counts as a "here" on your part.
  7. Once again, it's time to check in and let Remo know your whereabouts. While you're at it, please indicate your status as it pertains to UC, multiplayer, R/L, etc. Thanks.
  8. Raider, I can only suggest you check six and watch your back every minute you're on line.
  9. quote:Originally posted by Shingen: I don't think anyone went after my shuttle at all, which was a shame since it was sitting out in the middle of nowhere, on Rovorix.Yours was next on my list and I probably would've gotten to it eventually had I not had trouble with Chav's shuttle appearing and disappearing. First time, it reappeared thousands of kilometers from where I entered the planet ... requiring a quick jump back into space (the new terrain-following mod not withstanding) to plot a new pair of planetfall waypoints. At the time, it really had me confused ... now that I read the above posts, I can understand what happened. We gotta figure a way to inform all sides, in a 3-sided match, that the shuttle's CC has been morted. I don't recall if Dreada told me of his kill via TS but, if Shin got the first kill on Chav, neither me or Dreada would've known the shuttle was down and out.
  10. quote:Originally posted by Cmdr Chavik: I did die several times. LOL. You might want to PM Remo to coordinate all those morts. Evidently, since you were "away" from your CC, they didn't show up in the chatlog and can't otherwise be confirmed. That way, Remo can give the Devil his due ... and Dreada too.
  11. quote:Originally posted by Shingen: I remember killing someone on a planet, but I guess the logchat doesn't show that I got any kills yesterday. This was almost certainly your kill: quote:From mission 2: Sun Sep 26 15:53:22 2004 SERVER Player Chavik (ICV-Phoenix) destroyedAnyway, we all agreed to attribute it to you ... in fact, you even claimed a kill here: quote:Sun Sep 26 15:59:50 2004 TER/RAI Shingen killed DreadaAs far as the kill on the planet, it was me who was morted but I couldn't tell which of you done the deed ... so I suggested Remo give each of you 1/3 of the allotted points. Edit: Okay, I just checked Wraith's website (Dreada, those arrows for scrolling your pix sure were hard to spot) and it seems Chavik's mort is also in dispute. Either that or Chav died more than once while I was trying to kill the Insurgent shuttle. Anyway, I think we can all agree that Shin never died and his shuttle was never destroyed ... which gives him the game. [ 09-27-2004, 10:51 PM: Message edited by: Marvin ]
  12. quote:Originally posted by Ben Zwycky: I couldn't tell them that they had both been destroyed trying to pick on me I was just chuckling to myself, thinking 'They're in for a nice surprise' Yup, thanks to you, the first match was definitely "Czech Mate" for our side.
  13. quote:Originally posted by Ben Zwycky: I want to see where I ended up Probably close to the top. Not having a microphone for TeamSpeak didn't seem to hinder you at all ... kind'a gives a whole different meaning to the expression, "silent but deadly." quote:Originally posted by Shingen: What's that supposed to mean?It means you are far less dangerous when you're taking orders from somebody else.
  14. Ben, Thanks for participating in today's fleet match. And a particular thanks for inflicting major bodily damage to the enemy.
  15. Participants: GalCom [*]Marvin [*]Dreada [*]Ben Zwycky Insurgents [*]Chavik [*]ShoHashi Raiders [*]Shingen Host: Remo First match pretty much went off without a hitch. Then we got adventurous. It gave Shingen the opportunity to work on his own ... in his own element, so to speak. Which he did. And promptly ran up a kill or two. Shin might be part of the Devil's Hand but I think it's better for GalCom if we keep him under Chavik's thumb.
  16. Papi, You win with that one. Now where did you put those chili nuts? Edit: Another method, for those who fail to set your keyboard options, works most of the time ... it's a good last-ditch effort, anyway. Try this: When you hit the Windows key, the game reverts to an icon on your task bar. Before you do anything else, find a blank spot on your desktop then do the following ... [*]Left click on the icon ... your screen should go blank (black). [*]In the blind, move your cursor toward that blank spot on desktop ... in any case, move it far enough so it's off the menu bar. You won't be able to actually see the cursor so just guess. [*]Rapidly click the left mouse button ... keep doing it until the game comes back on screen. [*]If, after the game comes back, part of the graphics are missing, go to a different screen (e.g. TacOps, rear view, etc.) then back to the bridge view. It usually (70% of the time) works for me. P.S. It should also work with programs running on other operating systems ... for instance, if you have BCMG installed on Win98. [ 09-26-2004, 09:17 PM: Message edited by: Marvin ]
  17. quote:Originally posted by Rix: EDIT: Hmm.. Signed up at prime forums.. Waiting to be accepted there 0.oInstructions are waiting for you at the Prime Fleet Academy.
  18. I love the indicator on the right-hand side of the TDD and using the "F" and "Z" keys to adjust cruising altitude. Warning, though: a megaron can't AHS over water at 300 meters. You'll drag your butt and either require vertical thrust or, if you ain't fast enough, a tow.
  19. quote:Originally posted by Rix: Joshuwa Rix reporting to Prime fleet.Josh, go to the Prime Fleet forum and check in here. After that, I'll direct you to the Academy web page, where you can pick up your study materials. If you intend to be a marine instead of a ship commander, then just wait here until Kalshion shows up to give you instructions. Otherwise, welcome to the Fleet, cadet.
  20. quote:Originally posted by Remo Williams: Send me the log Marvin Thanks. My chatlog runs from 16:03:25 to 17:37:53 and consists almost entirely of small talk. Nothing of real value. We didn't start talking about fleet stuff until logging on to TeamSpeak. Even then, the highlight of the discussion was a comparison of lawn mowers me and Chavik had somewhere between my second and third beer.
  21. quote:Originally posted by Marvin: When you hit the Windows key, the game reverts to an icon on your menu bar.Correction: It drops to the "task" bar, not the "menu" bar.

Hello Marvin, so you have that problem too? Do you found a hint or a other solution than destroying your windows key, yet? Yeah, I found the thread, too ... but it was locked (closed). 23. I didn't keep notes on the TS part, just what was said on Server 4 and, before I send that anywhere, it will need to be edited for content. Btw, Gordon was there, too, and hung around until I had an unexpected disconnect from the server.
  24. quote:Originally posted by Rob2222: When I accidently hit the windows button and switch to windows, EVERY time switching back to UC the game crashes. My daughter gave me a quick solution for this one. I'll post it as soon as I find the old thread.
  25. quote:Originally posted by Shingen: Y'all are getting me confused here! Ditto. Goes double for me. At 4:00 pm Nevada time I will look to see if there's any place to meet (TeamSpeak?). If not, you can find me on Server 4, whacking away at NPCs and hobnobbing with whoever else is on the server. I'll hang around for at least 1.5 hours ... until 5:30 pm, my time ... which should cover all bases for erroneous time adjustments. I hope.
