Considering that Steam downloads are quite fast, there is little difference between downloading the patch directly or let the Steam client do it for you. If you need the bandwidth you can always put the updating on hold until you want the download to happen. I see really no difference apart from the little delay in patch releasing.

I have both but my rig is not well suited to run them. I can play but not with a high detail. Main problem is time... the only one I cannot fix. :-(

CAT: Community Action Team Welcome back. :-) Most of the post are nor in the beta testr reserved forum, the rest of the activity has cut down a lot. I've moved living with my girlfriend and the sort of part time job I was doing around here betatesting and being active is now eaten up by running the house and relationship. Hard job as you know. Was not able to keep up with testing and fleet stuffs, still I'm in prime and 2nd in command since the activity is pretty much dead. I wouldn't be able to stick to that position otherwise. Always been here, not so active but here. ;-)

The explication is simpler that one may thought and the SC may confirmi my word or give the real reason if I'm wrong.... but the game has been released for free at the end of its business life. Without any change to the one retail version. There have been updates and a major graphic update to the game but nothing in the way it is programmed and constructed has changed. The retail game is not moddalble, so the free version is not.

I noticed that something is happened to the way topics are displayed. When I access a topic I'm presented with the first post and then alla the othrs are listed below and can be selected one at time. What happened? I searched for a setting in my account but to no avail, as I prefer the old way where you can see all the post completely.

True completely. I was talking about launch control only. I have my marines scheduled in three shifts any moment. Rest, preppin' (bakcup for operations) and seaching.

I keep my launch control off all time unless I need it. Much better in preventing craft stealing.

I got oblivion upon exit and it indeed had flaws that caused crashes and such but after I applied the patches that were out, I was able to finish my playing time doing everything possibile with the original game and the expansion too. I didn't got so many problems with this and I installed a few mods too.

If you are prone you're probably not detectable so the marines won't exit to search for you when they have some damn good sensors to scan for you. The fact that you can order aroun enemy units is indeed weird thoug. Check that out and report it so that the SC will see.
