No, Commander is the only rank allowed on the forum regardless of your in game rank. If you get to Fleet command in the forum (Derek) approved fleets then they are stretched a bit. See above for Gallion's Insurgent rank.

I agree with you Menchise. Newtonian physics should not be present just for the sake of Newtonian physics.

Questions within questions is what you have T-WOPR. In the context of BCM it 3000 AD. I would hope propulsion systems could compensate for Newtonian physics. Then repeat after Derek, "It's a game, it's a game, it's a game." I hate Newtonian physiics. If a game is set in 2100 and the last space shuttle has to land on the moon maybe fine. But if it's 3000 ad then I would expect systems could compensate. Rant over.

Where to start? Probably like I did on the other forum. I got what I deserved. I was out of line. It hasn't been said but I understand Derek can't allow that sort of double standard to exist. I can't appear to be his friend here and his enemy over there and stab him in the back. That was never my intent but it's certainly how it looks. Derek bashing or game bashing was never going to be allowed. If someone was uncomfortable posting here they could go there. If they politely wanted to breathe a sigh of relief that would be ok too (at least I thought). That was actually part of my misguided reasoning when I made that unfortunate statement. But outright bashing no. If you don't enjoy the game or the community you shouldn't be there (or here) in the first place. I truly regret losing Derek's trust and the trust of the community. I never deserved it in the first place. I never worked for it. I just did the things I enjoyed. I could go on but I won't. I will probably say something else wrong. I am just thankful that some of that trust remained and allowed me to post an apology. I apologize to Derek and the community. Hopefully past and future actions will absolve this one mistake. Now that all the dirty laundry is out let's wash it and put it away and get back to enjoying the game and the community.

Next thing I know, the stormcarrier is dead and I've pretty much finished off the fighters. The Battlecruiser found a few of the stormcarriers fighters to playwith, and had succeeded in getting itself damaged, so I just finished it off with the PTAs and IODs. Well, I dispatch two shuttles to help me two the many disabled fighters and such, when another Ter/Mil Battlecruiser Mk3 enters the region, I kill it with no problems, tossed a few Starchilds at it from long range, went in close and let the PTAs and my IODs finish it off. Here comes the biggies, the Gammulans, probably pissed that I killed the Stormcarrier, send 3 Aestroms after me, I kill the first, second comes. Second dead, third arrives. Well, I kill all of them, mop up the fighters. After that, I'm towing a fighter back to the starstation, when I hear that I've been aquired. I target the lone fighter, I could have sweared this one just dissapeared and reappeared, but I forgot to bring up my shields. I feel kinda stupid about that since normally I operate with my shields lowered as long as I'm not in combat, then raise them. Well, flying towards me I guess he collides with me right before he explodes, takes my main comp down to about 40% killed my mine bay, and screwed a few minor systems up a bit, not that bad of damage. Then another Aestrom arrives, this time a Earthcom one. I thought I was dead, I had run out of missles... still, using just the PTAs and my IODs I OWNED the thing. It barely even got its fighters launched. Damaged I send my shuttles out to tow more while I head back to the star station to get some repairs done. When I leave the starstation, another 2 BC Mk3s have entered the system, both I guess looking for me, 1 Ter/Mer and an Emp/Mil. I know many of you vets out there are gonna be like so what to this, but as a newbie, I'm damn well proud that the only thing that even SCRATCHED me was a fighter that collided into me. I think I'm starting to get the hang of this game. Anyhow, I'm pretty sure that somehow that wasn't a coincidence that all those cruisers just happened to come into that system. I'm not so sure I want to get the patch right now...

And the rules for the new forum were debated about just like the Constitution I imagine. Really we did. Fresh Forum , Fresh Start is what was decided. If you enjoy the fan forum you will be a member in no time. Not being able to delete your own posts on this board has been around for quite a while. You can still edit it to no content. (sometimes a bad thing.)
