What can be understood from what you say is that France suport Saddam like if it was an allie.Never try to say something like that because ALL countryes have their own dark business. The defendant could be from any nationality.
  2. It was planned to allow do this, but I dont know if it was not implented at the end.Neither tried to do it.Try to do a search and see what you find. Dont forget to eat some while you search
  3. Mmmmmmmh... so at the end telekinesis do exist in the battlecruiser universe...I see.....perhaps in the next patch we will have a new officer with telekinetic powers to counter this new treat...

Here in Italy conscription is still enforced (if I'm correct this will be the last year.... or maybe 2005 will be tha last...), so anyone of male sex must spend 10 months in the military when reach 18 ages old. It also was here, but it got removed.I was one of the last boys to enlist before it was removed.I feel lucky I did get inside,is a unique oportunity to see a new "world" and a new way of live.I still remember the corvetes firing their main guns... .....and the navy harriers doing simulated strafe runs at us....oh man I dont lie if I say I almost signed up in the navy to be a professional sailor
  5. BTW, I dont have weapons at house(few people have one here) but I was for some months in the navy and had the oportunity to fire the old 5 kilograms Cetme (the new one made of plastic was for the marine infantery).I will never forget the first shot I did with it,the recoil made the weapon hit my face(noob) and I stood there a few seconds thinking What I liked most was the 30mm double canon AAA gun instaled at the front of my ship.It was the same model used in the WWII by the navy(my ship was builded in the 50┬┤s),it emanated history from every piece of metal it had

  8. I like the conquest concept of BF1942, but I think it DOESNT fit well as it is in UC.What I propose is to build missions where a mission zone (city, military) has to be invaded, taking the spawn point.A simple and defined mission objective, with a single or a couple spawn points to conquer.I mean that the spawn point be used as a tool to know when a team has acomplished their objectives, not to be used as place to appear as near as possible from the enemy. In addition I find interesting the idea of mobile forward bases acting as MOBILE spawn points,so a team could choose beetwen spawning at their main base, with lots of resources at their reach, or into the MFB wich has moved into a more better tactical position. Due to the colosal scale of UC "maps"the general idea of this kind of game would be based more into slow-planned form of play,in opposite to the fast-suicide form of BF1942.In 30 minutes of play a player should die an average of 2 or 3 times,no more.In real life you only have 1 spawn, the first one. I dont know how this could be done in space.Say you need to control 3 or 4 spawnpoints inside a region, and the way to navigate between them should be putting a decoy(a fixed probe, cargo pod...) so you jump there targeting that decoy. If one of the spawn points is a Starstation, then the PTAs of the station should be of manual use only. They are too powerful to assault it with a pair of players.Cloak should be disabled. Just my opinion
  9. LOL! Nice photos.Im waiting to see whats next
  10. In europe at the middle ages we werent better than the muslim world, but we slowly progresed.Problem is they still live in the middle ages.Only the weapons and things they can buy has changed to them.
  11. quote:Originally posted by Remo Williams: I'm sorry to hear about this I just finished reading about it in the news. quote:If Al-Qaeda is really behind this, the people will turn crazy against our governement. The people should go crazy on Al-Qaeda. No government can protect its masses 24/7 it needs help from its populace. Then it will be allot harder for these cowards to carry out these attacks. What I mean is that the majority of people here didnt want Spain to backup the war on Irak.So if it was Al-Qaeda they will blame it to the governement, for going to the war.And elections are near. ETA normally put a bomb and then do a phone call warning about it.So people get evacuated and casualties are minimal. They cause destruction and atention of the media. If they wanted to do a bloodbath they could have done it lots of years ago.
  12. ......Oh man when we started to feel a little safe now that our local terrorist organization is a bit crippled, someone comes and does this. I think I will die without seen this kind of things erradicated from my country, neither in the world. Now we also have our little 11-S.If Al-Qaeda is really behind this, the people will turn crazy against our governement. So whats next?
  13. LOL This is one of the few games I have played, were part of the fun comes from trying to understand how all the things on the game works. As someone already sayed (sorry dont remember the name) its an easy game to play, difficult to master.
  14. SC, you are creating with KB the game I always dreamed, you are the one!!!
  15. At what station did you dock? what race/caste? I think each race impose their law to anyone inside their sectors and stations, just like in the real world. No matter you arent an allie of them, you have to attain their laws because you are in their home. /roleplay on Gam1:Sir,the station control says they are gonna put us a fine for having illegal cargo onboard. GamCommander:...they imposing fines to a spaceship of the dreaded gammulan fleet?fools! Replay we are not gonna consent anyone to put us a fine. Gam1:Sir,they say they care a S**t who we are,we are inside their station and here they rule. GamCommander: ....fools.Answer we are Gammulans and WE rule. Gam1:Sir,they say they are blocking our ship here, sealing our airlocks and interfering our comms until we accept the fine. Gam2:Sir,a legion of the stations marines are surrounding the ship! GamCommander: .................................................ok answer we will pay! /roleplay off Just my opinion.
  16. So the first 5 power units redirected to the solar reactor are used to transform solar power into energy for the starship, and the further power you redirect to solar reactor are used to begin storing energy into a battery, right? Then I suppose that you need more than just some minutes to charge the battery. Why dont we try to play for some hours with the power setting at 10, and then try to shutdown the main reactor and try to force the battery to feed some systems? If the battery could save lots of power units in a short period of time,it would be too good dont you think?
  17. quote:Originally posted by Soul_Apparatus: When I'm planetside, how do I get back into my CC?!?!? Mind you, this is with the Transporter and Launch Control turned off in Logistix, since I can't access the Logistix panel in FPS mode. I tried setting my AE to evac, but I wasn't able to get any further than that. I still had alot of fun monkeying around. You can read about it here. Forget anything about logistixs or coms.In order to get inside ANY asset(including the CC) you must have it targeted. To do it simply acces to your DIE (number "4") and target your CC.Then get near it and use ALT+D and you will get inside. Transporter coms or any of this stuff dont have nothing to do with this as long as I know.
  18. quote:Originally posted by DeepFreeze: quote:I mean, we've seen games with scores in 90s, bought them, and wondered wtf?!?!. *cough*Unreal 2*cough* *cough*Black & White*cough* In the most important games magazine here B&W was rated a 100%. It was a real good and original game, but was not that good to owe that score I think.
  19. Guess its my turn. I live in Lloret de mar,Girona(spain) Im a 25 yeras old boy I run the maintenance of a 200 rooms hotel. Im single with no kids.Got a girlfriend wich I love deeply Spend 9 months in the navy.Wanted to stay forever but civilian live got me away of it. Hobbyes:going to cinema(sci-fi,war movies prefered)go out with friends and visit foreign countries. I hold an ultralight pilot license and own my personal ultralight.Fly is my dream came true,so I feel very afortunate in life in general.
  20. CFS3 had some really serious flaws wich takes away all my willingnes to play the game.I have IL2FB and I also think is the best WWII sim at the moment. Its true the average player is better prepared for combat than a rookie or even a pilot with experience in the war,but never forget the difference in playing a game and controlling the real plane.Any one with a flight license will know what im talking about. The disorientation and fatigue you have to face in the real thing, and the ability to minimize it is a decisive factor in a dogfight. It is a fight with the enemy, with the plane and with yourself. All at once.
  21. Everquest. After near a year playing it you still feel like only a promising noob .Very hard to get used to play online if you never did it before. IL-2 Sturmovik FB.Enter a combat with all settings in reallistic, and prepare to be blowed out of the sky so quick you will be saying for at least 10 minutes.
  22. Hi there.Any planetary pilots here?well... What do you think about CFS3?? please post your impressions.I know it hit the shelves a little time ago but I still feel angry with it. BTW feel free to post comments about anything related to flight sims.
  23. quote:Originally posted by Soback: I can't believe after so many space sims have been made over the years nobody still learned the lessons and took the best bits to combine into one game. And why is nobody mentioning Independence war I, and II. The system travel was handled well, the ship handling/combat awesome, but virtually no trade aspect, or ship damage/repair. I was always asking myself the same about flight simulators. Is the problem perhaps the designers are not real fans or enjoy the class of game they are programing? (question not including SC or david braben... ) Only played I-war 1.While it was good it completely deceived me.It could be truly a reference but in the end it felt very "empty". In my opinion it should only be remembered by its flight model. But since Elite model is the same/better I dont really see were it contributes to the evolution of the space sim genre.
  24. quote:Originally posted by dennymala: Too bad that ours AE cannot have a field suit like marines or even enginers and medics..... In the old times the captain of a battleship was something like a semi-god in the ships matters and hierarchy. So your AE will not ever use a suit because he/she has no reasons to hide from the enemy,his/her pure sight imposes autority and respect in the hearts of all mortals... (dont take me seriously... )
