  1. I agree, and I only have one thing to say to the ACLU if they're listening.......MERRY CHRISTMAS
  2. That is bad, but it sounds like the supervisor used a fake bomb and probably his own bag. The French, on the other hand, used REAL explosives and some unsuspecting passengers bag. (I hope the passenger returns it to the French, but this time with a detonator and a timer with very little time left on the clock...... Just Kidding)
  3. "By Grapthars hammer...."
  4. There's an abandoned hospital later on that is kind of spooky, but nothing else in the game matches the Ocean Hotel in terms of all-out freakyness.
  5. Wierd. It didn't happen to me. I did have god mode on at that point, though, and I was jumping into the boat right as the cave exploded, so maybe that had something to do with it.

  7. quote:Originally posted by joebeard: There is a game stopping bug around the half way point that can only be solved by manually changing levels via the console. What is this bug? I finished the game and never had to use the console to change levels (could be related to some side quest that I never did, though)
  8. You can't turn into a wolf, but you can change yourself to be almost a hairless warewolf (although nothing like the warewolves you meet in the game....those things are scary ) Hopefully in an expansion pack they will include more disciplines....
  9. quote:Originally posted by $iLk: There is one level that you'll probably hear about... HAUNTED HOUSE that freaked me the hell out to the point where I had to turn off my speakers. And I don't scare easy... but it was so perfectly scripted and the sound so perfectly done that you are on-edge throughout the entire level.I'm glad I'm not the only one who had to turn off the sound.....
  10. quote:Originally posted by $iLk: I love this game... I've been playing constantly - great story, great characters, great everything except for the guns... I agree. I don't think I've ever used a gun. Most of the time I just put them in a trance and drink their blood, or cause them to choke themselves to death (love that one). I haven't played all the clans yet, but hopefully they will impement some more diciplines in an expansion pack. I loved being able to turn into a mist form or steal someone elses image in the first game.
  11. Sounds like a candidate for a Stella award....
  12. quote:Originally posted by LostInSpace: Okaaaayyy, I've said this once and I'll say it again: "It's things like this that explains why extraterrestrials don't wanna make their presence know to us. We still have a long way to go." That comment reminds me of the Calvin and Hobbes where they are walking through the woods and Calvin says 'I think the surest sign that there is intelligent life out there is that none of it has tried to contact us."
  13. If humans evolved from mostly walking on all fours like apes to what we are today so that we could run, then why would pretty much any unarmed human be an easy lunch for a cheetah? Seems like when it comes to running the 4-legged animals have the 2-legged ones (other than the ostrich) beat.
  14. quote:Originally posted by Jaguar: quote:Originally posted by nomad: The french have recently legally settled the issue of defining the start of a human life. They consider that a human being exists only after the birth of the child, and not before. Only the french would be so disgusting, as far as I am concerned. I do not think that abortion should be illegal, but I also believe that abortion should be legal ONLY before the end of the 1st trimester. ANy and all tests can be done before that time, the woman should know before that time whether she wants the baby, and any diseases, genetic disorders etc can be tested for. After that, the woman no longer has a choice as far as I am concerned. she needs to make her choice within the first 3 months, while the fetus is still "a bundle of cells". The child can and will feel pain after the 3rd month, amd the woman should be able to make a decision before that time. Chickening out at the last minute, is unacceptable, after the 3rd month, the woman has made her choice, and only if her life is in danger, should an abortion be allowed. I find partial birth abortion a disgusting and murderous act, and using abortion as a form of birth control is not what it should be for. I agree
  15. quote:Originally posted by Jaguar: It's called common sense Nomad. Human life begins at conception, how hard is that to understand? I guess the question shouldn't be when it starts, but at what point the bundle of cells that HAS grown can be condsidered 'human life'. Is 1 cell a human, or does it take 1 million cells. Unfortunately defining that is not going to be easy, if it's even possible, because you will have people fighting on both sides of it. Another thing about the birth control topic is HOW it actually works. If the method destroys the cells AFTER fertilization, then I can see how that could be considered wrong. But if the method prevents fertilization from being able to occur, then how is that different from using other more-stretchy forms of prevention or even abstaining at all?
  16. quote:Originally posted by XOR: hmmm i see hawaii is not important enough to be part of bush's plan I think generally that's a map with the green being all the states that voted Bush. Since Hawaii didn't vote bush, they didn't get put on.
  17. quote:Originally posted by Takvah: I don't think Bin Laden's approach was "you leave us alone, we'll leave you alone," he was AGAIN making threats. He was again scaring women and children all the while playing on our fear. That may be the case and that may be how a lot of people took it. I didn't take it that way, though. I see it as him attempting to look tough and scare us because he knows we aren't going to back down. He's low on options. I'm not scared of Bin Laden because I know Bush's stance on terror and he won't stop fighting terrorism. What I am scared of, though, is the though of Kerry getting elected because I have NO IDEA what his stance on anything is. (I'm not sure even he does.)
  18. Does anybody else think that Bin Laden knows the U.S. is not going to back down and will find him eventually and that is why he is trying this "you leave us alone we'll leave you alone" tactic? (at least that's the message I got from his video)
  19. quote:Originally posted by nomad: As far as I know, all other big countries (India, China, Russia, Indonesia) recognize more than one single language. Yeah, and one of those languages they're recognizing is english. quote:I remember having read somewhere (dont remember the link) that if the current natality & immigration figures are extrapolated, english will be a minoritary language in some 50 years.Mexico will also be empty at that point. Given the number of people in the U.S. who speak english and are going to continue to speak english and will teach their children to speak english, I don't see english as being a minority language any time soon.
  20. Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Battlefield 2 Vampire: Bloodlines
  21. quote:Originally posted by Jaguar: What? You think the Saudi's would hire Mr Rogers? They can't hire him because he's dead. (I'm sure that's not stopping him from voting for Kerry, though)
  22. AMEN...
  23. True. Once somebody reads your tag without your knowledge and finds out you're number '4598722305476832', all hell's gonna break loose, isn't it.
  24. I think if people want to implant a RFID tag inside themselves more power to them. It could really help out in the travel and medical industries.
  25. Sometimes your writing is a little 'interesting' to read (mainly the use of all capital letters in some words), but if that's how you write then more power to you and I won't comment on it again.
