TURN OFF YOUR MODUM FIRST. xp has its own fire wall, disable this.( MAKE SURE YOU HAVE XPS2 INSTALLED OR YOUR XP MACHINE WILL BE VULNERABLE ) disable ALL auto update mechanisms... then when you set up your zone alarm..put it in learning mode, for the programs and close access for everything, except browser, TURN ON YOUR MODUM NOW. place the zone alarm level to high. Then start the join a mp game....shut it down. go back to zone alarm open up your programm access. and allow access for the two, or three out goings, that were blocked. UC.exe AND (UCmp.exe?) there will be one other necessary(if i remember right) program asking for a gate. I will pm you the EXACT ones to give access, when I get home, if you cant figure it out. These programs give access in all four areas(green check marks)..ALSO give them the PASSKEY, and allow identification for these programs you have allowed access. Then set your ZA settings to medium security. go back and click on the tray icon, and lock the internet connection, but DONT click on the "STOP ALL Internet connections" This is a secure method of using ZA Pro, without a router, and works well with UC. my question, is to who controls the servers.... I spent close to three days, of well invested time, working a strategy based on the CURRANT laws of physics surrounding the UC Universe... upon, beginning to play on the mp servers, the physics of the game remained relativly the same. after three days of testing a strategy, for survival. I entered the server a few minutes ago(after agging on EVERY fleet) on the boards, and find the actual PHYSICS has been manipulated, in a way which completely defeats my established strategy. sure, I can spend another week finding a new strategy...but this leaves me with questions and doubts, as to "why bother". To change the physics of the universe, to stop someone from taking advantage of existing form of behavior in physics, for WHAT purpose? Was it to stop, a percieved UNFAIR advantage of a single player, who exploited what was there?, hopefully, it was not. As, anyone who took advantage of such...is only using their heads. ANYONE could do the same; thus all is equal The only advantage, it actually gave, was bought time, to get things organized, or to go for a drink. EVERY player could have done the same. NOW,because of this, the physics within mp game, is contrary to the game parimeters, in general. If I come up with a new strategy, and get a percieved unfair advantage...will you change those laws of physics as well? I would give you an example, but it would give away my NEXT strategy. I am NOT going to speak OUTRIGHT clear, as to what the law that was changed is, because it would give away my percieved UNFAIR advantage, in the event, it be put back to its original format. (which I would hope would be done with server 4) And, the one responsible for the change(whoever) is well aware of the change made, on 09/14/04 If the reason, was to stop a technical problem, then my question is moot, but I am curious, if my future efforts, will also be neutralized, to give the others a more EQUAL standing, in the field, even though, they did not concieve of such a strategy?

Cheats, is what made me leave the fp shooter mp games. Not worth the headache for other players, to have to deal with...and no fun using them yourself....unless, you just wanna shoot the ducks...then you can always hunt ants, with a shotgun, if you want, but whats the point of cheats anyway? If you dont wanna actually PLAY the game, just sit back and watch someone else play..or watch a sci-fi movie...no effort, or thinking involved there...(just my humble opinion, on the subject of cheats)

the game looks like a combination of freelancer/and homeworld...with just a dabb of fp(unreal-2) type structure. I guarantee, it will not be a SEAMLESS universe, like OURS(yes, I feel I have a rightful place within the UC universe )

LOL, really had a blast on server 4 last night. Raider khan, tried to take me out, but got himself killed chasing me into range of the space station. His second attempt, he attacked me planetside, while I was attempting to retrieve the drone, he hadnt destroyed yet...he fought a brave, fight, even to his death...of course, I didnt escape, without paying a price. My poor ship crashed into the mud,the same time he hit the ocean... with minimal damage. i found my ship 3600 meters beneath the island, after I had ejected. alone and stranded on an island...couldnt get any allies to bring me a fighter from a base...geesh. But, thats ok,, I was STILL the last man standing...very slow and agonizing death ahead...lol I spent an hour , or hour and a half, on that island, before disconnecting and going to bed. Most fun I have EVER had, with ANY MP game, I have ever played!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hat's off to you SC...(this is for real). Your a Genius

Now, that it is explained that way; I see why we could not see it, in the experiment stage....takes a long time to deplete the existing charge,(which is there when starting the game)...and THEN, end up, in a scenerio where it would show up.... street: "Ahhh, I seeeeee....."
