  1. Thanks SC, I thought as most did that the SR was some sort of emergency backup but wasn't sure how it worked. I kept it cranked up to 10 just in case though I prayed that I wouldn't run into a situation where I had to find out first hand.
  2. I've got it. It's for the captains's MR. Coffee. Though I rewired mine to also warm the hot tub in my stateroom.
  3. Thank you both for the info it has helped immensly.
  4. Quoted by Kalshion quote:Tigerclaw is an imagenitive person, his creativeness is one of the highest I've seen in the roleplaying world. Not many people possess that ability to roleplay AND use there imagenation at the same time I have to agree. This is some of the best writing I've seen in a long time. I'm having a blast reading it.
  5. Hey all, I captured my first station today. That put my XP up to around 10k. After finishing my trading and repairs I deployed a Probe to keep an eye on the zone while I went gallivanting around elsewhere. After about 2hrs I found that my XP had dropped to ÔÇô3k. Any clues as to what IÔÇÖm doing wrong?
  6. Reporting as ordered.
  7. Ahh, Thank you SC.
  8. Thank you Sir! *Snaps a solute and exits the Vice-Fleet Leader's office.
  9. Cmdr. Damier, GCV INQUISITOR, respectfully requests admittance to the Earth Defense Wing of ISS Fleet. I have been informed that the Earth Defense wing of your fleet is noticeably lacking in ships and men. I am certain that my ship, my crew and I would be great assets to ISSÔÇÖs goals of defending and preserving the freedoms and ideals of Earth. [ 09-09-2004, 06:39 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  10. I just tried to join the game but they won't allow free email users to join. What's up with that?
  11. I didn't die at all either and only needed minor repairs at most to my ship. Though I did have some fatigue problems near the end. HEHE two medals for me.
  12. Hehe I'm glad someone found that funny. Anyhow I'm starting to get the hang of it with the help of the tutorial. This game is getting more addictive by the moment.
  13. Yesterday I printed up the tutoral in the doc's folder and read along as I played. It helped me learn aboujt all kinds of problems that I was having, including planet egress. As far as shutting down everything when planet side, it's not needed. If you kill your engines and shields then no fule will be burned.
  14. Ahh. There it is. Thank you.
  15. Hey all, IÔÇÖve been looking for a place to make my first post and this thread seems like the best place to start. I picked up UC about a month ago and having been a fan of space games like Freelancer and X2 for a very long time now I thought I knew what to expect. Boy was I wrong. I expected to be trained for a couple of missions and then be on my way to fame and glory as I single-handedly rid the galaxy of nasty little undesirables. What I got though was an exercise in futility and frustration, not to mention a great way for me to build my cursing skill. Several short gaming sessions and crashed carriers later I decided to hang it up. About a week ago after failing to find any other sims out there that would keep my interest, I picked up the manual to this game and started to read. (wow never did that before.) IÔÇÖve since then loaded the patches and scoured these forums for more info. As a result, my latest camp. attempt has lasted about 2hrs without getting my bitts blown off. IÔÇÖm totally addicted to the game now and am looking forward to future updates and new challenges. Thanks SC for a totally kicking sim. PS. Is there somewhere that I can get the tutorial docs from? They didnÔÇÖt install with the latest patch.
