OK, server 2 seems to be down, I'll be on server 3.
-
Looks like the uncertainty of our current financial situation will significantly delay the purchase of the new computer, so I might be a few months late in picking up BC:HI, or the new comp could end up bing my birthday present for the big 3-0, (24th November next year), meaning I'd be missing out on HI entirely.

Rip's already set us up an account on his webspace. It also supports mysql and php.

I guess that's down to Remo. A one week delay to get things running smoothly again wouldn't kill us... completely. So I guess me killing Chavik twice in Sept 26th Mission 1 doesn't count twice? or was that after the match ended? It was after you two respawned and Chavik wanted some revenge, so he rinsed and repeated... with the same result. -
We can always use Rip's offer as a temporary fallback location, should the worst happen.

OK, Nick, PM us all your teamspeak server details (server name, IP and password) and we'll meet up on Server 2 at 7am GMT tomorrow (that's Saturday 23rd)(as I said earlier in this thread) I had a document I wanted to send all those taking part in multiplayer, but I haven't finished it yet- maybe we can try some things out without it, and have it for reference later. See you out there,

He emailed me back. He'll be active again in Late November

It most certainly was.

Welcome back Remo! -
I always start on server 2. Shin, that Teamspeak offer sounds good. Did you get my PM? I was wanting to get in at least one iss fleet training session in before the next fleet match, to get us all aquainted and run through some practice scenarios.
-
OK, Zane, next time hang around a little longer. I generally hang around for at least half an hour before looking elsewhere. I was on from about 7.15 (gmt+2)
-
Well, I had a nice little chat with Shingen's latest minion, but no ISS members. What's going wrong, here? Everybody post your ideal time on a Saturday to meet up. I have in mind to alternate fleet meetings between two times of day, one Saturday at time 1, the next at time 2. Last week's time was OK for Damier, so I'd like next week to be at 7am GMT, unless Damier posts and says that is no longer a good time for him.
-
I'll be on server 2 in about 10 minutes. If I don't meet anyone in there by 5.30 GMT, I'll check the other servers and this thread.
-
I'm a geordie, but without the accent. I can put it on if you want, but then nobody would understand me My parents live just outside Morpeth in Northumberland.
-
I'd fix that time now for this Saturday so people can say yay or nay in this thread. 5 pm GMT this Saturday, that is the 17th. WE'll probably go on for an hour, hour and a ahlf, maybe two, depending on how well things go.
-
WE'll be sure to take you up on that offer
-
We'd be glad to have you, Moonbroke. Just pop on over to the ISS Fleet forums and make yourself known. It's about time I did some recruiting myself!

Well, IÔÇÖm 28, 29 at the end of next month, I live in a nice-sized house in a small village just outside Prague in the Czech Republic. IÔÇÖve been married for just over three years and have two small boys (Jakub is two and two months, Petr is one and three months, I should put some more recent photos up there). Together with my lovely wife I run a small translation company and most of our work is translating TV series, documentaries and films for dubbing from English into Czech, though we get to do various types of documents as well (letters, working regulations etc.) Me being originally English and my wife Czech means we have a native speaker at both ends and have built up a very good reputation for the quality of our work. We work from home, so we can be flexible with most things, but I have an off-peak only pay-per-minute connection (that may change sometime in the next few months, but IÔÇÖve been saying that for the last year or so ) which limits when I can be online. We only have one computer and use it for both work and play, but I have the funds set aside for a second one that IÔÇÖll buy when UC:HI comes out, since the price of components is coming down all the time, and by waiting another couple of months, I may be able to squeeze a little more into my budget. When that great day comes, IÔÇÖll be able to be even more active than I am at present (or be able to maintain other on-line interests more faithfully.)

We'd be very glad to have you aboard, Lille, go to the fleets databaseand apply to join, then check out the forum sigs thread and add your system profile to your sig. After you've got your strength back, you can visit the fleet sigs thread and decide what part of the fleet you want to be in. Then you can make final adjustments to your sig and tell us a little about yourself in the Normal life thread here. (I should do that myself, you know. I guess tomorrow.) Sorry if that seems a bit much at once, I don't expect you to do it all in one day- take your time.

Glad to hear that, Medivh. Look forward to flying alongside you. Well, we're generally putting the boys to bed around 6-6.30pm, which is 4-4.30pm GMT, and putting the boys to bed is really a job for two, if you know what I mean so it would need to be an hour later, or I could always join a little late. I was hoping to go over some multiplayer 'set plays' for the fleet, if you will, to get you all ready and sharp for likely match situations. That sort of thing is usually classified, so as not to give away our best tricks. We could always make it a more conventional exercise, getting to know each other, practising general combat and keep it open to others, and I could send you guys the tricks in a document by secure transmission. In any event, we're going to need an active Teamspeak server on Saturday at least.
-
Well, I can basically arrange to be online anytime from 7am to 8pm GMT on Saturday without too much of a problem (I have to arrange with my wife so she looks after the kids if its at a time when the boys are awake, but she's very nice about that)

quote: Originally posted by Shingen: quote:Originally posted by Marvin: I have no idea what the reasoning was behind Ben making the attack ... except that he hasn't lost a battle yet.) One death for Shingen. Ben Zwycky gets the credit. Actually, Ben was the only one is Procon at the time. From what Carl was saying, Denny and Dreada where on and off in Rovarix somewhere. Anyway, I waited for some time to see what Ben was gonna do, observed the shuttle location and set a waypoint during the wait. Finally, Ben jumped towards me, and being the cocky SOB I tend to be, I went after him. I couldn't even reduce his shields in a dead-on range and main-guns on target. The funny thing is I didn't explode in the game. I made planet-fall on Procon, but I was so badly damaged that I couldn't have done anything anyway, so I told Carl I was re-logging ( Hey Marv., does the log show that I made planetfall on Procon?). I re-loged, forgot to launch my shuttle again, and had Chavik launch one of his, NOT KNOWING that the mission was ALREADY over! Anyway..I owe Ben two now. Well, I was the only one in the region, with Shin being the key enemy target, me feeling generally confident and for other tactical reasons I decided to go after him and it paid off. During the long wait after the first kill, when we weren't sure whether the match was over or not, me and Denny practised some formation flying above the planet. I guess it's beginner's luck -
OK, so Saturday or Sunday Morning people? Or is 7AM GMT too early for some of you US guys? Let's get this defined well ahead of time so there's no confusion.

I'll be there. Have to try and keep my grades up, you know . Any chance those ROE('s) can be distributed to the other fleets sometime soon? Yeah, Denny, you're the same timezone as me, GMT+2 in the summer and GMT+1 during daylight saving time, so it's 9 pm for us today.
