Hi, Whatever you do, if you do go the PIII route DON'T buy a mobo based on the Intel (820?) chipset. Intel released a press release 11/5/00 in the UK recalling a lot of these as there is a prob with these systems randomly powering down !!! I don't know if this was on general release but I work for a PC manufacturer/retailer here in the UK and we got to see it. Cmdr Andy DiFontaine

Hi Aramike, My BIOS also has a setting for which display card to initialize at boot AGP or PCI. If yours has this the set it to PCI or it will always try to use the onboard AGP. Good Luck Cmdr Andy DiFontaine

Hi, How about this one - none of the pilots will leave the IC bays when put off duty or sent to medibay - LF 100% FF 40% and rising. There are also a couple of marines stuck in the IC bays as well. Also the flight engineers cannot get to the flight deck but can still ready the IC's! I've not used playmod or had a radiation leak or used the cloak for more than a couple of minutes at a time - looks like time to trash four interceptors and clone the pilots. Cmdr Andy Di Fontaine

Thanks SC, What I am trying to say is if I download gbsmod1 and unzip to the scripts dir and then start a new game in free flight I don't get fleet C&C. But, if I delete all the bc3k0000.* files from the gbs dir then put bc3k0000.scr (edited or not) in the gbs dir and prepare/prepare phrases it, then copy bc3k0000.mis & bc3k0000.dat in to the scripts dir when I launch from ghq I get the messages and fleet C&C immediately. Can someone email me a working gbsmod1 for v2.09? Cmdr Andy DiFontaine

Malakie - I just checked my file dates for GBS Mod 1 and they are the same as those that you had originally. I downloaded these a day or two after SC posted them when 2.09 was released - I even remember posting somewhere that the read this link linked to the wrong file!!!!! Sounds to me like tintin is saying he can't get his soundcard to work in DOS at all - never mind getting it to work with BC3K!! Maybe you should try checking your config.sys tintin - if there is a NOEMS after the emm386.exe the change it to RAM instead - it sounds like the DOS legacy support driver isn't being loaded at boot.
