Maybe 1/2 year..but in this short time I went from not liking the folks much on these boards to feeling like I was part of a family. Ok, folks multiplayer is right around the corner so I want to try to get an idea of what I have to work with once it is released. I need you all to report in if your assigned to the HammerHeads. Thanks Tac... Ok folks listen up please. I've been given permission by Tac to build "Wraith Headquarters" on Mars in this Activeworld thing that has been discussed. For those of you that have no idea what I'm talking about Activeworlds is a 3-D world where we can get together for meetings, exc, exc. The address to get to this place is www.activeworlds.com You must do a short download to get a program so you can use the 3-D environment but after that your all set. Once your in you click on teleport (it will be near the top left hand corner) and then click on To.. then in the "WORLD" field type in MARS and in the "coordinates" field type in 942N 905E this will place you right outside the headquarters. Currently it isn't complete so it won't look like much, but once it's done I think you all will like it. Next, I would like to invite Tac and the other wing commanders of Wraith Fleet to build offices in the headquarters. To do this I simply need to setup a date with you and we will meet at the headquarters and get one built. Once Tac and the Wing Commanders have offices built I'll more than likely open offices up for the entire fleet to build, but that will be later. I recently bought a Vodoo3 card and I was real excited to see it work with BC3K. So I get it put in the computer and all but when I attempt to run BC3K using the 3DFX mode I see the message "Out of Environment Space" 5 times or so, but then it starts up as normal. I can play the game and all but the only problem is there is no sound. Now I'm going to assume this is a memory problem but does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do to fix this if it isn't. ------------------ Cmdr. I have a question myself about ODS's. Now from what Eclipse said they sound like they could be a good challenge. Yet whenever I attack one that is red, it never even fires a shot at me no matter how close or far away I am. Anybody know any possible reasons for this? ------------------ Cmdr. To attempt to avoid confusing newbies shift+E actually shuts down your engine only, not your reactor. Pressing shift+e again will restart the engine only. If you press shift+r this will shut down your reactor and engines. This means you will have to hit shift+r again (to reactive to the reactor) and then shift+e (to reactivate the engine) Hope this clears things up for anyone that was confused. ------------------ Cmdr. And to answer your question, no, there is no way to manually put your ship at 30,000 speed unless you cut off the autopilot like you've been doing...that I know of anyway... ------------------ Cmdr. Hope I'm not going to far in the time. /rp Location: Chanis-2, Xyon Date: March 14, 3008. 1730 GCV Defiant The Defiant has just entered hyperspace toward the wormhole that would take them out of Xyon space and into Krynon. Bandus saw a few bright flashes that signified ships jumping through the wormhole, and glanced at his Tactical Officer Nick for a report. "Sir, multiple ships have just jumped through...all Gammulan. There are fewer ships then flashes, so there are some cloaked, some uncloaked." "Red alert, signal all ships to protect the transports at all costs!" Bandus said. "I have one of the Gammulan Aestroms locked, sir." ,said Nick. "Fire missiles, assume attack formation Echo." ,Bandus said. A volley of missiles left the Defiant and slammed into the Aestrom. "The Aestrom is moderately damaged. The Indomitable and Yamato are reporting they've engaged a Stormcarrier. Marauder Wing is maintaining a defensive posture around the transports." Nick reported. "Fire IOD, 80% blasts!" barked Bandus. The ship jolted as the powerful balls of energy were sent speeding toward the already damaged Aestrom. As soon as they hit the Aestrom was penetrated and was vaporized in a blinding flash. A second flash also occured moments later. "Sir, the Indomitable has been destroyed! Direct hit from the Stormcarrier! The blast from the reactor breach has damaged the engines of one of the Marauder BCs...there is a gap in the defensive grid!" Nick excitedly said. "Damn, bring us about, full speed, we need to take up position and close the gap." "Aye, sir." Danny said, "Coming about." "Commander! The Stormcarrier is heavily damaged and is crippled...the Yamato is moving in to finish it off." Nick said. Bandus began to smile when Nick said, "Sir! The Stormcarrier has launched a volley of Vagarants at the transports! 25 seconds till they impact!" "The transports shields will never hold, how long until we can be in position to take the missile hits?" asked Bandus. "We are still atleast a minute away." reported Danny. "Damn! Signal one of the BCs to attempt to get in the way of the... Bandus was cut off as the Vagarant missiles slammed into both of the transports, causing both to erupt in massive explosions. Moments later the Yamato payed back the favor and the Stormcarrier broke into two pieces and was vaporized as multiple missiles slammed into it. "What about those cloaked ships, Tactical?" asked Bandus. "Sir, they have decloaked and are in orbit of Chanis-2. They appear to deploying troops to capture Delta Starbase." reported Nick. Bandus grinned and said "Good." Bandus got up from his command chair and went to the tacscope. He zoomed in on Delta Starbase and saw Gammulan troops storming the now abandoned base. He watched as they entered the Command and Control center. He watched as the booby traps were tripped and the entire complex disappeared in a blinding nuclear explosion. It's a reminder to us that there is nothing galmorous about war. Soon all members from Delta Starbase were onboard the battlecruisers or transports. "Signal all ships to make for orbit." ordered Bandus. "Aye, sir." answered Mark. Mark quickly punched a few buttons and said "All ships head for orbit, repeat, all ships head for orbit." All ships, including the Defiant, pointed straight up and went full speed until they had broken then gravitatonal pull of the planet and established a stable orbit around Chanis-2. Bandus looked at his Tacops screen and saw 10 additional battlecruisers from Marauder Wing waiting in orbit. "Ok, signal the Indomitable and Yamato to cloak and go ahead of us. Then signal the Marauder battlecruisers to assume a defensive formation around the transports, we will do the same." "Aye." replied Mark. "Plot a course for the Krynon rendezvous point, maximum speed." "Course plotted, engaging." answered Danny, the navigation officer. Bandus loved watching his interceptor pilots mock dogfight each other. Once the interceptors were out of sight on the bridgeviewer he watched the tacops screen and watched as the chasers became the chased and so on until one of the two teams was "destroyed." "Ok, I think that is enough for one day, I want performance evaluations of the pilots no later then 0700 tomorrow. Order the pilots to stand down and dock." ordered Bandus. "Aye sir, 0700." replied Jaime. Jaime had been Bandus's First Officer ever since Bandus was assigned command of the Defiant. Jaime was an excellent first officer, sharp, efficient. "Incoming transmission, sir. All frequencies." reported Mark." "Patch it through to my commlink." Bandus said. Mark quickly punched up a few buttons and the message came through.
