  1. ON: "Engines are at 55% Commander. I have something to point out though." "What is it, Kendrick?" "I can repair the engines only so much. The artifact is interfering with the power-flow and i won't be able to get engines above 80% as long as it stays connected. "So what are you expecting me to do, Kendrick? It took 3 hours just to hook it up and then another hour to make it work, IN Gammulan space! Im not risking speed over this. Either find a way to re-route the power or repair the engines to max performance. We'll be in Sol in under a minute, in the meantime, redirect power from weapons to the cloak & shields. Canshow out." The monitor screen flashed and turned black. Canshow went over to his navigations officer to have a talk. "Jump out near the star's corona sphere. " The officer looked at canshow with a vague look and nodded. ShoHashi overheard them and also gave canshow a look of concern. The ICV-Daedalus jumped out of hyperspace and activated it's cloak. The ship jumped out right outside the sun's Corona sphere and laid there. Canshow went over to his station and read the assessment report. "Turn off the cloak." "Sir?" "Turn it off. There's no need to waste iridium." The Daedalus uncloaked and stopped giving off radiation. ShoHashi turned to canshow and faced him. "Any reason your giving our position away to the whole GalCom fleet commander?" Canshow's expression turned into a grin. "The sun's corona sphere will shield us from any scanners, probes, or any other scanning equipment. The only way to see us is to get in a 200km radius, and even then, the corona sphere will make it impossible to do a visual. Our sensors will be affected too, unfortunately. Our shield's should hold in this environment at 45% with full power. Even if our shields fail, we'd have 8 hours until the radiation emitting from the star becomes fatal." Tag: Sho's Character. OFF:
  2. Richard Dean Anderson forever man At least they kept Teal'c.
  3. You haven't posted yet
  4. Not to mention most console versions are better overall. Better graphics, better gameplay experience, and most of the time they offer more than the PC version. Like 007 nightfire for instance. You can do cheats, and modes on the console version. And graphics are way better, not to mention aiming and firing your guns. PC version = Bad graphics, Only like 2 modes you can play, it's more difficult to use guns, and the missions are harder. So it's better to buy a console version of a game, unless there is none. As for dragon age Origins, I'm not really a fan of medieval or fantasy RPGs. But I played it at a friends house and it was better than the fantasy/medieval RPGs i've ever played before.
  5. In my opinion, it's a little better, but i still wouldn't play either of them. I played for a couple hours and it kind of got boring. I think I'll stick to Sci-Fi MMOs
  6. Woot. Lets go duck hunting with airborn lasers! U know the U.S military is experimenting with hand-held laser weaponry? That'd be fricking sweet once they're done and release those babies. I wish I could say that I would be happy myself; but it would only be a matter of time before such weapons would get into the hands of criminals. Right now, guns are easily traced and such - but a laser? Forget it, that would be almost impossible to trace. So while I am looking forward to our miltiary using it, I do not look forward the criminals getting ahold of them. Yea, it wouldn't be good. They can go right through Kevlar without a problem. Imagine what it could do to a car or through a wall.
  7. The little tracking thing is brilliant, but a little problematic for me. Now i have to think of something else for my post because of that. arhg. >_<
  8. I think their working on the MMO for now. ...But then again, it would be a first to release another game after completing an MMO. Meh. SC is going to probably post here, telling you to look at some forum or answer your question :/

  11. ON: "What's happening, canshow?" ShoHashi shouted. Canshow picked himself up from the floor and went to the diagnostics station. Canshow started to swear. "We've been hit by a couple of volleys of gun fire. The culprit is identified as a GalCom ship." Canshow continued to read the screen and talk to his communications officer. There was another ripple through the ship and then nothing. "Bastards shot our engines." Canshow looked back at the screen and had a 10 second conversation with his officer. "Bad news is, sub-light engines are badly damaged. Our max speed out of hyperspace is about 97 m/s. Good news is that they failed to hit the hyperdrive, so we're still going to get at Sol. A shielding flaw in the hyperdrive made our engines vulnerable to such catastrophe." Canshow opened up a channel to his Chief Engineer, "What's the damage?" "It's not as bad as i thought. Hyperdrive is intact, but 3 of the engines are shot." The chief engineer looked behind him as some sparks shot up from the wiring. "Can you start repairs?" "Yes sir. I will need every engineer. This is not a short fix." He ducked as a marine used a fire extinguisher to put out a small fire. "Roger. You have authority over the engineering staff, also, see if you can re-route more power into the hyperdrive. Canshow out." Canshow was on fire now. He could not let anymore rodents foil with the Insurgents's plans. "I want the cloak activated the second we drop out of hyperspace. Also, activate our jammer. If there's no shielding around the engines, then we're flying targets out here." OFF:
  12. I was hoping i'd piggyback off another persons post i guess not. I'm going to write a short post, waiting for Quaz or Sho to post in the meantime. [ON] "Any time, Garrison." canshow said as Rick, Sho, Shingen, Mariko, Badman and canshow all walked out of the shuttle bay. canshow handed Rick a ZS10 and three other assault rifles and said, "You can start by clearing out those 7 intruders on the lower decks." canshow took a minute to write up a message to his XO explaining the current situation before asking the Admiral to join him on the bridge. " Admiral would you join me on the bridge?" Canshow snapped his fingers, ordering his remaining marines to escort Sho and himself to the bridge, while the medics took the 2 injured marines to the medibay. Canshow grumbled to himself loudly while taking a transporter to the bridge, "Nothings going right today..." with Sho walking at his side. For a moment, shots could be heard coming from Cargo bay 1 and screams of men. Finally, both men arrived at the bridge without much chatter. The crew saluted Admiral Sho and Commander canshow before returning back to their duties. Sho went to the bridge patiently waiting for canshow, looking out to space, while canshow was assessing damage and getting reports from engineering. "Engineering to Bridge. Long range hyperdrive has been restored." "Acknowledged, Chief. Bridge out." canshow stood beside Sho looking 0ut the bridgeviewer. The Admiral had ordered Daedalus to Sol. But it was now canshow's choice to either jump directly there. Or take the wormhole to Polaris as normal. Canshow took a deep breathe and sighed heavily. "Take us to Sol. Wherever there's one raider, there's surely more to follow." With a "Yes commander," the ship entered hyperspace. Repairs on the hyperdrive were complete, and the engineers were ordered to check the entire ship for any faults. Canshow didn't want to jump right into the heart of EarthCom with a faulty shield and cloaking device. A simple misplaced wire or cable could mean death for the entire crew and ship, so he had to take precautions; especially after taking some shrapnel damage from a couple of destroyed raider FCs. "Care for some Scotch, Admiral?" [OFF]
  13. Looks sweet.
  14. Yes, i know, i figured it out a while ago... lol
  15. Well, interesting episode, but still going no where... :/
  16. It means your graphics card is standard with your model. And if it's like a 2005 model and earlier(maybe 2006), it probably won't have a nvidia geforce video card or other ones now used in most recent built PC's. Im on a 2002 windows XP home edition with an intel« video card of somesort or maybe thats my driver. (right now, i use 2 computers) When i first installed BCM on this computer and ran it ONCE, my whole system crashed and i had to get a new ram stick or something and reformat the computer. * Probably the same problem with you, this PC is 2.666GHZ and has 768MB of ram. The ram, space, video card, or your 1.8GHZ is the likely culprit in this mess. Now im not saying your whole system would crash if you tried to run BCM correctly, but i'd suggest to upgrade your dell's video card, Ram, and etc. If you're not that crafty, buy a newer computer if you have the money. It could just be a simple compatibility issue, or you're computer is trying to protect you by being a peice of crap. Or it could be a virus/malware messing with you. ... Im still waiting on that wire transfer 3000AD.
  17. --delete please--
  18. Oh shit. I better probably order a copy while i can.
  19. Interesting. I'd never pirate a game of yours, SC. <3
  20. Erm.. Im in the insurgent fleet, of course! Dunno the wing. Since i AM TOTALLY CONFUSED ABOUT EVERYTHING AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED INFORMATION. Reporting for duty!...sir.
  21. ON: Canshow awoke to the sound of his name being called on the comm system. About a minute later, canshow was already heading out of his quarters with his BDU (Battle Dress Uniform) on, taking less than a minute to get on bridge. "Someone called?" canshow said in a crabby mood as he took a seat near the tactical display. His chief engineer reported on the screen, "Yes sir. Engine upgrades are completed, and all systems are back online. Iridium reserves have been cut by 20%. We're ready to roll." Canshow was pleased and gave his chief engineer a nod. The screen flashed and turned black. "Alright, re-plot course and make the jump." As the Nav officer was plotting the coordinates, the comm officer called over to Canshow, "Sir, im picking up a distress call from this region." Canshow signaled his Nav officer to stop, and walked over to the comm. systems waiting for the comm officer to talk. "It's coming from a small insurgent shuttle near the Lydan-Khan wormhole. It's under attack from a fal/rai cruiser, and has sustained minor damage so far." Canshow sighed. He thought for a second, "Alright. Launch FC 1&2 to distract the cruiser and 3&4 to escort the shuttle. Plot a jump towards the shuttle and power up combat systems." His officers nodded and went to work. He could see his 4 FC entering hyperspace from the bridge's view. -Entering hyperspace- . . . 30 seconds later, the ICV-Daedalus jumped out of hyperspace right in front of the fal/rai cruiser. "Launch all missiles at the bastard and fire the main guns." The FCs did a good job distracting the cruiser, until it launched its own 2 FC to repel the threat. "Sir, FC 1&2 are sustaining moderate damage. Your orders?" Canshow looked at the tactical screen and poked around his available options. "Tow the shuttle. FC 1-4 are to engage the cruiser and its craft until we've gotten the tractor beam locked. Once it's locked, make a clear jump to the other end of the system. The FCs are to mop-up any other hostile FC and then to dock with ship. They are to NOT engage the cruiser after dealing with the other FCs." "Yes sir." His pilots were experienced, and did this kind of thing before. He wouldn't expect a scratch. A minute later, canshow felt the power shift to the tractor beam. --Tractor beam locked-- "Make jump." -entering hyperspace- The ICV-Daedalus ended up near the tyrus-2/lydan jumpgate. "Tell those pilots to dock now." With the last of his FC docked a few minutes later, canshow gave the order to dock the shuttle in bay 4. He went to his comm. screen and contacted his combat officer. "Shuttle has docked in bay 4. I want 6 marines, 2 engineers, and 2 medics to meet me outside of that shuttle. We've read an insurgent signature so don't do anything ...hostile." A yes sir could be heard and the screen flashed black. Canshow left the bridge and took a short trip to bay 4. (Tag: The people in the shuttle...) OFF:
  22. 3D space shooter which looks like it might turn out to be very similar to how Shattered Suns camera operates.
  23. IMHO, i think the game looks stupid, complicated, and the requirements are a little high. Alls been said *yes im kidding *
  24. Happy Halloween everybody! Enough talk. Lets go throw eggs at some trick or treaters
  25. By the way shingen, yes i was playing the game. In fact, i finished it in one day with the use of cheats in the space portion of the game. The AI IS brutal. Which limits your expansion, but i just ignore the piracy and ecosystem calls. I found the space part a disappointment. I mean, the map is HUGE. But really, all of that in just your tiny spaceship? How do u expect me to colonize all of that, or atleast make allies on the way without the use of cheats? It's sooo freakin' boring by the time i meet the Gnox. The missions are the only good part! By the time im in the center, my fleet is dead and im using the same cheat to keep myself alive. The civilization part was my favorite. The game is already dead by the time your in space. So i guess meeting steve is the last part of the game?
