All the sudden I found myself in a battle against the TER/RAI Spacestation there. With the PTA taking care of figthers and incoming missiles and with a special use of the cloaking and EMD systems I took up the battle. With only IOD and crab mines I damaged the station badly. When only a small bit of hull was left I stopped shooting... What if I'm destroying this station now? Would it be the end for the ter/raiders in the Lennen sector? What if im taking on to other stations and destroys them... Do they respawn? If not... it would be a shame to destroy them Hey you, remember what I said about NO spelling errors in forum topics? Menchise Posted September 30, 2001 Report Posted September 30, 2001 When you destroy a starstation, starbase, or an orbital defense system, it's rebuilt over time (you can actually see the model gradually reconstructing itself). I recommend capturing the station instead of destroying it (this is done by docking with the station when it's emitting an 'SOS').When you capture the station, Raiders from other regions will try to recapture or destroy it, so you'll need to stick around for the repairs.Apart from the changes in diplomacy toward the particular station (it's now hostile toward Raiders instead of friendly), I'm not sure about the other effects that capturing it would have on the region.

Not sure how long though, 2 hours is my guess.Destroying Pixan/Lennen is a waste I think. It's the bottleneck/crossingpoint of Sol, Barnard's Star and Polaris system trafic. Menchise Posted September 30, 2001 Report Posted September 30, 2001 I think it's a little funny how a system as strategically important as Sirius is being held by the Raiders, especially when it's nextdoor to Sol. It's no wonder that Galcom has no allies or bases in the Credian Quadrant.

Edit: Re-read your post, and you said useless fleet leaders...I haven't a clue who these could be, but my post still stands. I've seen all four of these working, Blades especially. They gave up their free time, to develop these fleets for your game...they didn't have to, but they chose to. After all that, they shouldn't just be discarded at a moment's notice. Its a stupid question. If you consider yourself to be a useless fleet leader, then you're one of the ones I'm speaking of.You guys just get it, do you? I read EACH and EVERY forum here. I see recruits, wing leaders etc all posting trying to find where their leaders are etc. I see newbies getting even more organized in some quarters. Its as if some of the vets have some just become complacent.I have said this once, and I'll say it again - when I take the Beta mp fleet only servers live, they will all be password protected. And NOBODY, and I do mean NOBODY is logging on there if you are not in a fleet.In fact, there is a VERY good chance (as I've said before) that I'm not even going to allow users to setup servers, for the same reason I maintain security on this forum. If I do go that route, there will be free servers and fleet servers. I promised multiplayer, and that means I can enable LAN play but not allow anyone to play on my Internet servers - WHICH I GOING TO BE PAYING THE BANDWIDTH FOR -.So, don't say you weren't warned. I've said this going back almost a year (do a search for 'multiplayer' and you'll see) and the game has Gone Gold and work on multiplayer resumes in full swing in about two weeks, once I get all the servers up and running.
