I haven't seen anything with Take2 on it for a long time(i presume the BC3K incident came back to haunt them *maniacal laugh* ) now to find something to do before the flip is switched........

Supreme Cmdr Posted May 8, 2003 Author Report Posted May 8, 2003 heh, well, yesterday was the start of another saga with the hosting company (xgamer.net), I'll spare you the details and just say that this time, they promised - to our attorneys (well, we had to bring out the big guns) - that everything will be sorted out by this coming Sunday night. We'll see. At any rate, Dreamcatcher has given me the OK to release the patch whenever I feel like, however, only LAN games will work until the master/gamer servers are up. I have a Linux auth server undergoing testing right now here on this server (hosted by Pair Networks), so we'll see how it goes.

(Like in EVE for example...if u go to another server,u could see other players in other servers that are online.).I cant wait for BCG.ull be in my hands soon!BWAHAHAHAAAA!...i hope that there will be something like a CORPORATIOn feature in BCG.And the NEWS system could be implemented in BCG too,but simplified (like in Starfleet Command 3.Just showing/reporting who is attacking whom and where.i would love to see a spying feature there too...but anyway,bc is so vast,that u can do that from the systems that are allready in the game.)... Lets put it this way, we're ALL pissed about it. In the end, I had to get the company attorney (you see him posting as EricR on the boards) involved and he's taking care of it. 'nuff said.
Darkling Posted May 9, 2003 Report Posted May 9, 2003 Maybe you should consider going with an inexpensive Local guy like 186K in Boca, (as a backup) they've got triple TC-3 Connections to the Internet, are super cheap and can have a server up for you within 24-48Hrs. I know, I've used them before when I setup some email servers.

We paid xgamer for 3 months in advance and I have no intentions of renewing it once they have fulfilled that obligation.
