SymporiuM Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Greetings, I'm a noob, and I can't find any post about this: Well, I choose to use the Uber super carrier (don't remember the name ) but it's the ship for "Romulans Only". When I start in campaign mode, I can't keep up with the guy I shall escort. I'm just too slow for him. I tried to launch my fighters, because I though they could escort him. Well they could, but they were to weak, because a big battlecruiser met my little party at a gate, and boom everybody's dead, exept me of course, as I'm over 3 jumps away. So now I'm wondering, how shall I do to pass this mission? Sorry if this has been posted, hope you won't ban me for this

As far as that mission, there has been quite a bit of discussion on tactics. Try searching "diplomat escort". I think thats what I did. Good luck and welcome.

Chaoticmass Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 I know people hate repition of information here, but I'm in a position to help so I will. Perhaps it wont help this guy, but maybe some other newbie? I found the easy thing to do is immediatly tractor that diplomat soon as he launches. Then fly to Majoris yourself and let 'em loose. The disadvantage here is your shields will be down the whole time, and you can expect to run into some baddies along the way. If you're in a slow moving cruiser this can be dangerous. Setting your shuttle to tow the diplomat, and then tell it to escourt you might work better. This way you can fly to Majoris at your own pace, with shields, and if you run into some heat you can deal with 'em and they'll probably leave the diplomat alone if they're busy focusing on you. Also, if the shuttle blows up, the diplomat will just continue to majoris and you can still offer protection.

Kalshion Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 I must be honest, Im unsure what the rules are about the image size, however for people who have 56K (if there are such people) having a big image would cause allot of loading problems
