Werewolf Posted February 7, 2004 Report Posted February 7, 2004 Alrighty, now we have OTS (Orbit to Surface) *and* STO (Surface to Orbit) Missiles. The manual explains how to use OTS's just nicely, except the part of how to get it without playing for a week So: Does anyone have suggestions as to how to aquire an OTS missile without paying an arm an a leg? Also, how do the STO's work? Are they totally automated or can they be controlled somehow? Are there any other neat tricks to try with these things?
TheRedComet Posted February 7, 2004 Report Posted February 7, 2004 well as for getting them if you're talking about bcmbcmgbc3k then get the cheat tools from the downloads page as for STO's no idea bud never seen one in action , cool tricks heh? well i do love taking a fighter down into an enemy base starting a little fight then sending a good ol OTS down and escaping in the last minute makes quite a cinematic secne well aside from stuff like that i don't know anything else that can be done ots's are just small nukes and nukes only explode you know
Eclipse Posted February 7, 2004 Report Posted February 7, 2004 sometimes stations or other entities drop them when they die. If this were the old days of BC3K I'd tell you to scour the debris fields.
Werewolf Posted February 7, 2004 Author Report Posted February 7, 2004 Hey gimme a break, I just bought this shiny new spaceship. Now I'm broke and can't afford a nuke right away.

Pedro Pablo Laracuente Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 deploy your drones and after they're full sell the minerals somewhwere where the inflation rate is very high (hint: not Earth!) and then establish a trade route between a low inflation base and a high one. The manual explains everything about drones and else so don't ask: i give you the directions but you must know the controls Cheers
TheRedComet Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 ive overlooked the obvious werewolf, the items file in the data folder contains the item listing, paying 10 credits for an ots sounds like a swell deal to me make a backup of the file of course.
Supreme Cmdr Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 An OTS does not cost 10 credits
DennyMala Posted February 16, 2004 Report Posted February 16, 2004 ....or any gammulan planet will be turned to dust in half a day......
TheRedComet Posted February 16, 2004 Report Posted February 16, 2004 i know , changed the price well tried to something with authentication failed alas guess i'll have to earn my OTS's.
