FishGills Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Hey all, I'm a n000000000000b. How does one beam enemy troops to a ship? Is it possible to beam them over to do pirate operations? Take over the ship? Disable it to be towed to a base? Maybe even load up a shuttle with cargo and bring it back? Also, There a cheap way to get Plutonium and Radine? I run out real fast and am too new to learn trade routes yet. Any help would be super! hehe [ 02-13-2004, 06:09 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
Kalshion Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 You can't For the time being you can't beam marines to an enemy ship

Start by deploying drones and sell the minerals at the local base. If you don't know how to deploy and retrieve your drones by setting waypoints for the shuttles I would suggest that you get to the manual and learn how. You can also collect cargo pods and sell their contents. This will earn enough credits to get you going. Trade routes are still the quickest way to make money, but this will suffice for now. p.s. FishGills Posted February 13, 2004 Author Report Posted February 13, 2004 Thanks! Too bad about the marines. Be nice to return the favor... One last question, anyway to detect a cloaked ship?
Guest $iLk Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 I think it depends on the AI of one of your officers... whenever you hear "There's something out there" they've detected a cloaked vessel.
Kalshion Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Not always Silk, sometimes it'll be that.. sometimes it won't There are times when your officer will mistake a EMP static (created by either a cloaked vessel OR by some other anomaly) for a cloaked ship.. in other words she could either be right about the cloaked ship or not.. a 50% chance
