Has anyone else noticed that raiders in UC loose exp for killing transport in SP? I never really noticed before, because I don't spend alot of time worrying about exp, but I've been playing as a raider and noticed that my exp was minus. Since very little NPCs are allied to raiders, I thought this strange. Sure other raiders are allied, and you lose exp if they get killed in your PZ, but not what I was seeing, so I tried a test.

I started a new game, as a terran/raider, and the first thing I did was kill a dro/tra LRT. Sure enough, I'm showing -500 exp! So I target another red transport and kill it. Now I have -1000 exp!

So I warp over and kill a Emp/Mil Megaron (also red). No exp for that, even though I get the kill (target destroyed).

What's up?

It's not just raiders who are afflicted with this strange xp allotments. In my recent Prime training exercise (TER/MIL)I received a total of 50xp for destroying an enemy Megaron, a StarCruiser, and 3 interceptors. All of which were annihilated when my FATAL missles shredded them after they HJed to my position.

I, also, at one point had a -3698 score when docking at GALCOM HQ, only to have the score reset to 0, because I was carrying an illegal substance (I can only assume that was the reason as that was the only action that took place).

Hmm. That's the first time I've seen this question. I don't know the answer.

But, here is some information that might be helpful:

Experience points?

Experience Points

About Experience Points....

All three threads are located in:

Game Discussions ┬╗ Universal Combat [battlecruiser Generations]

I hope this helps. Good question, Shingen.

Noticed similar things in MP.

Will start keeping more details.

Exactly. I'm not even sure why there is a topic about this - especially when the experience table in the appendix is quite clear.

The game does not - and will not - make any special treatment for raiders. If you are a raider and you destroy a friendly (to your race) target, you get negative EPs for it.

Yeah, but we're not supposed to get negative exp for killing enemy races/castes. Dro/Tra is hostile to Ter/Rai...as were all the other ships I recieved negative exp for killing.

The is no race alignment in the appendix, only exp points table.

Maybe, but you can't get fleet c&c with negative exp.

You must be looking at a different file from the rest of us.

That feature wasn't designed for and is not for any specific race/caste. There are lots of ways you can accumulate EPs if you want fleet C&C while playing that caste. If you choose to play as a raider, then thats your lot as EPs will be hard to come by.

Ok, that's fair, given the caste. Ya learn something new everyday.
