Okay... sorry to be such an uber-noob... but i got the game installed. Theres a start.

I think i have the general idea of all the systems, commands, and all that great stuff down. But there's a slight problem... can someone please translate the first mission's briefing for me!? It says to goto LV-103 or somethin like that... well where the heck is that? lol. Guess i'm just way confused by it. Just a general "Go here, kill everything, go there, escort" for the first mission would be nice. Thanks a lot!!!

LV-103 is in the Gammualan Quadrant.

Go study the single player universe map in the appendix.

I've never played that UC ACM, so I have no clue.

I agree. Im a owner of all the 3000ad games (but i need a vs video card before UC works....) and even i know that. The first thing i did when i got BC3000ad i studied the maps! In a game like this you wanna know everything you can, otherwise you will fail over and over.

Ah... I collected a few cargo pods and taught those fighters a lesson for jacking with commercial traffic.

As for other things, I'm docked at GHQ letting my crew rest...

Where was I?? Oh yes... I have my computer, and then my laptop. If I want to check data, I can bring it all up on my laptop even during the biggest firefight.

However I prefer to study during a layover at a station... (When the crew has FF in the 30s, and HF in the 600s, all around, I just take a break.)

Theres no better way in my mind to read the manual and study the maps from my experience, than to first teach yourself the basics of deploying mining drones, deploy some drones, land on a planet ( in a safe place ) shut everything down except the nuclear reactor and life support.

Sit down while this is happening and study the manual on what you would like to acheive next, or what looks interesting, also study the maps and get a general feel for the layout of the star-systems. Believe it or not whilst your doing this your earning your-self some money mining while learning the game and layout ( dont forget to retrieve the drones ).

Hope this helps you happy hunting

Oh and register and sig blah....

Planets are not part of the monitored patrol zones which cause deduction of EPs.
