62Echo was Heavy Junk. I was also the Company NBC NCO for awhile, which wasn't bad. During field maneuvers it was my primary task to guard the CO. LOL Got me out of field KP. ;-)

My term of service was from 1987 thru 1993. Delta Co. was disbanded late in 93. We were the reserve round out company for the 19th. Almost went to Saudi during that little Kuwait thing, but S-3 figured it would take too long to get us ready, so we got left behind, even though the Battalion Commander wanted us with him. But we did support the effort to get the 19th over there and I have the National Defense Ribbon to show for it.

That's where we were. Just a few buildings and a whole lot of prairie dogs. And the Canucks did have women in their ranks at the time. Circa 1993.

ahhh ok. i was there from 95-96. i was in Ft. Campbell from 93-95. did my OSUT in ft lost-in-the-woods misery

if you look up the definition of "the middle of nowhere", youll find ft leonardwood. was bad enough we went back AFTER basic twice... once for bridge-ex (thank god they gave all the bridge building to the 12Chucks not too long afterwards... those Bailey's were a pain), and once for sapper school.

I did my basic and AIT at Ft Sill OK, I am from the Northwest, used to lots of mountains and trees. Almost went psycho at Ft. sill, flat ground, rolling prairie and grass, for MILES, and miles, and miles, and miles. It was enough to make me nuts....

wolferz, im gonna fire some names at you, and see if you can recall any of them. they were all with the 19th eng bn, and all went to saudi with the 19th (i know you said you didnt, but you still might have known them b4 they went). hance peyatt, sean seferro, eric sims... peyatt i believe was either in A co or HHC co. seferro and sims were both in C co. this small world thing creeps me out sometimes
