To wait for and attack and then act is just stupid, you are putting the lives of American civilians at risk. And the Iraq war was based on MUCH more then just the war on terrorism and you know it, and to continue to spin this like it was the ONLY reason that we went in, is intellectual dishonesty at it's best. We had a LOT of reasons to go into Iraq, and Bush used ALL of them, and to have you sit here on your little high horse and spout that it was all about 911 is a crock of crap. Well, head in the sand and just pound on one point that was NEVER made, is typical of those that hate Bush. They will grab whatever thing that they can get hold of and use, even if it's false. repeat a lie enough, and the democrats still believe that it somehow becomes the truth. Jerrai Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 I havent posted in a political debate in a very long time cause all it winds up being is a yelling contest to see who turns blue first. seriously look at yourselves, all americans all with the same problem, no respect for your fellow americas opinions and beliefs (i could be wrong but im going by what i see) i dont care for bush or kerry. america has become a prize and goal of power for either democrats or republicans, not the people who live here. but either way you look at it, America isnt the America it used to be. we have never been a true democracy, we are a democratic republic. but even those ideals are slipping away. i just had to interject and remind you all are american and americans need to be united besides during times of crisis
street228 Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 Enigma, I respect and agree, there need to be united resolve, in the time of crises; however, The ONLY REAL crises, we appear to be in(since 9/11) is an administration pushing ideologic rhetoric, which circumnavigates EVERY PRINCIPLE, on which our country was founded. When the PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES, has the AUDACITY to stand up on national television, and PROMOTE the IDEA of war,and speak against anti war demonstration, by saying:" ANY AMERICAN, who did not STAND in agreement( with HIS resolve, for war); WAS UNPATRIOTIC, and sympathetic to TERRORISM...and frankly an IDIOT"..FOLLOWED by the statement:"IF YOU ARE NOT FOR US; YOUR AGAINST US".......Then,I ask you WHO is responsible for the disrespect of adverse opinion, and ,in fact,this WHOLE division in the first place?? Just wondering?
