Memo From Dubya

Just so you know:

I attacked and took over 2 countries.

I spent the U.S. surplus and bankrupted the US Treasury.

I shattered the record for the biggest annual deficit in history (not easy!).

I set an economic record for the most personal bankruptcies filed in any 12 month period.

I set all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the stock market.

I am the first president in decades to execute a federal prisoner.

In my first year in office I set the all-time record for most days on vacation by any president in US history (tough to beat my dad's, but I did).

After taking the entire month of August off for vacation, I presided over the worst security failure in US history.

I set the record for most campaign fund raising trips by any president in US history.

In my first two years in office over 2 million Americans lost their jobs.

I cut unemployment benefits for more out-of-work Americans than any other president in US history.

I set the all-time record for most real estate foreclosures in a 12-month period.

I appointed more convicted criminals to administration positions than any president in US history.

I set the record for the fewest press conferences of any president, since the advent of TV.

I signed more laws and executive orders amending the Constitution than any other US president in history.

I presided over the biggest energy crises in US history and refused to intervene when corruption was revealed.

I cut health care benefits for war veterans.

I set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously take to the streets to protest me (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.

I dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history.

I've made my presidency the most secretive and unaccountable of any in US history.

Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history. (The poorest multimillionaire, Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.)

I am the first president in US history to have all 50 states of the Union simultaneously struggle against bankruptcy.

I presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud in any market in any country in the history of the world.

I am the first president in US history to order a US attack AND military occupation of a sovereign nation, and I did so against the will of the United Nations and the vast majority of the international community.

I have created the largest government department bureaucracy in the history of the United States, called the "Bureau of Homeland Security" (only one letter away from BS).

I set the all-time record for biggest annual budget spending increases, more than any other president in US history (Ronnie was tough to beat, but I did it!!).

I am the first president in US history to compel the United Nations remove the US from the Human Rights Commission.

I am the first president in US history to have the United Nations remove the US from the Elections Monitoring Board.

I removed more checks and balances, and have the least amount of congressional oversight than any presidential administration in US history

I rendered the entire United Nations irrelevant. I withdrew from the World Court of Law.

I refused to allow inspectors access to US prisoner's of war and by default no longer abide by the Geneva Conventions.

I am the first president in US history to refuse United Nations election inspectors access during the 2002 US elections.

I am the all-time US (and world) record holder for most corporate campaign donations.

The biggest lifetime contributor to my campaign, who is also one of my best friends, presided over one of the largest corporate bankruptcy frauds in world history (Kenneth Lay, former CEO of Enron Corporation).

I spent more money on polls and focus groups than any president in US history.

I am the first president to run and hide when the US came under attack (and then lied, saying the enemy had the code to Air Force 1)

I am the first US president to establish a secret shadow government.

I took the world's sympathy for the US after 9/11, and in less than a year made the US the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure in US and world history).

I am the first US president in history to have a majority of the people of Europe (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and stability.

I changed US policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.

I set the all-time record for the number of administration appointees who violated US law by not selling their huge investments in corporations bidding for gov't contracts.

I have removed more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any other president in US history.

I entered office with the strongest economy in US history and in less than two years turned every single economic category heading straight down.

RECORDS AND REFERENCES: I have at least one conviction for drunk driving in Maine (Texas driving record has been erased and is not available).

I was AWOL from the National Guard and deserted the military during time of war.

I refuse to take a drug test or even answer any questions about drug use.

All records of my tenure as governor of Texas have been spirited away to my fathers library, sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

All records of any SEC investigations into my insider trading or bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

All minutes of meetings of any public corporation for which I served on the board are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

Any records or minutes from meetings I (or my VP) attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review.

With Love,

PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH

Just so you know:

I attacked and took over 2 countries.

Indeed He did, one was supporting Alquaeda and Odama Bin Laden, the other was a clear and present threat.

I spent the U.S. surplus and bankrupted the US Treasury.

THe Surplus NEVER existed, everyone fell for this one, know what Clinton did? He took Social Security out of the budget, and then told EVERYONE that we were running a surplus, well, If I didn't pay my rent every month, I'd have a surplus as well, but it wouldn't be real, because I would still have to pay my rent.

I shattered the record for the biggest annual deficit in history (not easy!).

As Percent of GDP, it's NOT even close to the biggest Deficit in history. as a matter of fact it is one of the smallest.

I set an economic record for the most personal bankruptcies filed in any 12 month period.

THe president has NOTHING to do with bankruptcies, people spent MORE then they were making, and finally couldn't do it anymore. THe president has NOTHING to do with peoples personal decisions. Clinton had 8 years of record bankruptcies. THe number of bankruptcies has gone up every year for the last 20.

I set all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the stock market.

NO, the great depression did that, and again, percentage wise, it is actually QUITE SMALL. And 9/11 was the killer event to the Stock market, not exactly Bushes fault.

I am the first president in decades to execute a federal prisoner.

This is somehow a BAD thing?

In my first year in office I set the all-time record for most days on vacation by any president in US history (tough to beat my dad's, but I did).

This one always pisses me off, no president is EVER on vacation. He has a security briefing EVERY morning no matter where he is. THe president no longer has to be at the whitehouse to run the feseral government.

After taking the entire month of August off for vacation, I presided over the worst security failure in US history.

Bush at been in office 9 months, and yet he somehow takes the blame for this attack? OK....

I set the record for most campaign fund raising trips by any president in US history.

Again, this is a bad thing? The president can run the federal government from whereever he is, the wonders of modern communications, and he is head of his party. This shows excellent executive skills and time management.

In my first two years in office over 2 million Americans lost their jobs.

Bush inherited a recesssion from the Clinton administration, and then got 911, not Bushes fault at all.

I cut unemployment benefits for more out-of-work Americans than any other president in US history.

No, Bush actually extended benefits twice, the benefits finally ran out, they were never cut off.

I set the all-time record for most real estate foreclosures in a 12-month period.

Yes, a recession and the attack of 911 made that occur, also, Clinton also set all time records for real estate foreclosures while he was in office.

I appointed more convicted criminals to administration positions than any president in US history.

A criminal is unable to get a secret clearance, anyone with a REAL criminal record would be unable to hold ANY position in the administration. This is blatantly general, and gives no examples.

I set the record for the fewest press conferences of any president, since the advent of TV.

Again, this is a bad thing? WHen the press is looking for something to bash you with, you are going to provide them the opportunity to get one? I don't think so.

I signed more laws and executive orders amending the Constitution than any other US president in history.

The president CANNOT amend the constitution with laws or executive orders, this one is completely out there.

I presided over the biggest energy crises in US history and refused to intervene when corruption was revealed.

I think that he is talking about Enron here, Enron was a CLinton era bomb that just happened to blow while President Bush was in office. It was a private matter for the courts and stockholders, none of the presidents business.

Either that or the California energy crisis, and that was just blatant state ineptness, this was a state problem, NOT a federal one, there was NO reason for Bush to get involved.

I cut health care benefits for war veterans.

THis is a straight up lie, Bush has actually raised benefits for ALL veterans to record levels.

I set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously take to the streets to protest me (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.

Yep, and 6.5 billion people stayed home, so he broke the record for the amount of people that didn't protest either.

I dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history.

You cannot dissolve a treaty that was never signed. Kyoto was a boondoggle, and the ICC was a crock. THe senate would never have passed either treaty, therefore by pulling us out as signatories was finally stating the truth. Those treaties NEVER had a chance. Bush was just willing to tell the world the bad news, unlike Clinton.

I've made my presidency the most secretive and unaccountable of any in US history.

This is obvious personal opinion, but because I find no proof of this at all. I could say the same thing about Clintons administration as well.

Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history. (The poorest multimillionaire, Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.)

Indeed, and each have earned that wealth, NONE of them inherited it, each of them created it through hard work and accomplishment. This is somehow a bad thing, to hire accomplished and self made people?

I am the first president in US history to have all 50 states of the Union simultaneously struggle against bankruptcy.

Well, when the states were given unfunded mandates by the CLinton administration, and then try and spend more then they bring in, they will get close to bankruptcy, how is this Bushes fault?

I presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud in any market in any country in the history of the world.

A fraud that was allowed and perpetrated during the Clinton administration, and finally exploded while Bush was in office, again, how is this Bushes fault?

I am the first president in US history to order a US attack AND military occupation of a sovereign nation, and I did so against the will of the United Nations and the vast majority of the international community.

Yes, indeed, and that same UN was being bribed and allowing itself to be bribed by that same country. Which is why the international community did not want us to invade, they were getting a nice little gravy train and didn't want that source of new funding cut off. We were watching for our national security, they were watching their filling wallets from the oil for food program.

I have created the largest government department bureaucracy in the history of the United States, called the "Bureau of Homeland Security" (only one letter away from BS).

THe department that Bush really didn't want in the first place, but was convinced by a frightened congress and intelligence committee was necassary to protect us. Again, this was NOT Bushes idea, so to pin it on him is blatant bias, and not looking at the facts.

I set the all-time record for biggest annual budget spending increases, more than any other president in US history (Ronnie was tough to beat, but I did it!!).

Again, when you look at the percent of GDP, it is nothing of the sort.

I am the first president in US history to compel the United Nations remove the US from the Human Rights Commission.

Compel? Syria is on the human rights commission, like this somehow gives it credibility? And we are ON the human rights commission, so it is just plain wrong...

I am the first president in US history to have the United Nations remove the US from the Elections Monitoring Board.

The US had to be removed because the main 2 countries that are going to be monitored were freed by the US, we had to recuse OURSELVES, because it would have looked like the liberators were trying to change the results of the election.

I removed more checks and balances, and have the least amount of congressional oversight than any presidential administration in US history

No, CONGRESS did that, a president just signs it, the congress has to AGREE to it first, so to make it sound like Bush did this all by himself is pushing it BADLY...

I rendered the entire United Nations irrelevant. I withdrew from the World Court of Law.

No, the UN rendered itself irrelavant, and he withdrew us from the ICC, International Criminal Court, we are still members of the world court.

I refused to allow inspectors access to US prisoner's of war and by default no longer abide by the Geneva Conventions.

The Red Cross has it's own STATION in Cuba to keep close tabs on the prisoners, and they have FULL access to all prisoners that we hold anywhere in the world, so this is nonsense.

I am the first president in US history to refuse United Nations election inspectors access during the 2002 US elections.

We have NEVER had UN elections inspectors in the United States, EVER, so when 13 socialist democrats decided to ask for it, we told them NO.

I am the all-time US (and world) record holder for most corporate campaign donations.

And this is somehow a bad thing, it means that business LIKE Bush, the same business that create jobs etc.

The biggest lifetime contributor to my campaign, who is also one of my best friends, presided over one of the largest corporate bankruptcy frauds in world history (Kenneth Lay, former CEO of Enron Corporation).

Ken Lay ALSO gave huge amounts of money to one Bill CLinton, and slept in the Lincoln bedroom while Clinton was in office, Dan Lassiter was the largest contributor to Clinton, and he was a convicted cocaine importer.

I don't like the fact that Bush hung around bad business men, but I like it far more then a president hangin around with a drug dealer.

I spent more money on polls and focus groups than any president in US history.

Actually, Clinton still holds this record.

I am the first president to run and hide when the US came under attack (and then lied, saying the enemy had the code to Air Force 1)

Michael Moore conspiracy theories, this is nonsense, the WHITE HOUSE was indeed targeted, and air force could also have been a target, we didn't know, so get Bush in the air on air force one and keep him there. Hindsight is alwasy 20/20.

I am the first US president to establish a secret shadow government.

No, there has been a socalled shadow government in place since 1913. Sorry....

I took the world's sympathy for the US after 9/11, and in less than a year made the US the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure in US and world history).

NO, when we decided to defend ourselves and go after the people that did it and financed it and helped terrorism, we upset the world.

TOO BAD....

I am the first US president in history to have a majority of the people of Europe (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and stability.

And we are supposed to care about this Why? exactly?

hanged US policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.

I haven't the foggiest idea where this came from or what company it is about.

I set the all-time record for the number of administration appointees who violated US law by not selling their huge investments in corporations bidding for gov't contracts.

There is NO US law forcing administrative appointees to sell their investments, they are forced to put them in a blind trust until they are out of office, where they cannot touch them, and have NO idea what is in them. This one is a total mislead.

I have removed more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any other president in US history.

Nope, not according to ALL courts within the US, and the parts that were struck down, were nonsense and the judge did not understand the part he was removing. NO freedoms NOR civil liberties have been removed while this president has been in office.

I entered office with the strongest economy in US history and in less than two years turned every single economic category heading straight down.

Yep, a recession, and a terrorist attack will do that, but not only is the stock market back to where it was, 1.9 million NEW jobs have been created. The economy is taking off and has been for the last 18 months.

RECORDS AND REFERENCES: I have at least one conviction for drunk driving in Maine (Texas driving record has been erased and is not available).

I have no comments on this, because I don't know about the Texas driving record, the Maine happened in the early 70's when Bush was a kid, anyone that did not make a mistake is a better man then I.

I was AWOL from the National Guard and deserted the military during time of war.

This entire thing has been shown with facts to be bogus.

I refuse to take a drug test or even answer any questions about drug use.

The president is tested for drug use once a year, at his annual physical, and why should Bush have to, when Clinton didn't have to?

All records of my tenure as governor of Texas have been spirited away to my fathers library, sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

this says it, but it's NOT at all true, ALL records are public, there are numerous copies, and this is total NONSENSE....

All records of any SEC investigations into my insider trading or bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

Again, this is patently false, all of those records are available, you just have to request them.

All minutes of meetings of any public corporation for which I served on the board are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

This is a board decision, NOT Bushes, even if it were true, which it is not, if it is a PUBLICLY owned company, all shareholders have the right to request minutes of those meetings, BUT NOT the general public, this has ALWAYS been this way.

Any records or minutes from meetings I (or my VP) attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review.

Absolutely, this is a MUST, and should ALWAYS be the case. Although when Hillary had her secret meetings with Healt care people, you didn't hear the press screaming about that, and she was trying to take over 1/7th of the economy.

With Love,

PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH

The White House, Washington, DC

Just a little background info on the unemployment rate for people 16 and older.

Thank you Jamotto for that. Some people don't seem to realize what a disaster 9/11 was not just in terms of lives but economics too. That's what happens when you usually have eggs in one basket.

Some of us around here have been saying that for a long time now but some people just want to hate Bush just for the hell of it. Look at their slogans "Anyone but Bush". That says it all.

I don't see why people are having problems finding a job.. only took me a few weeks after I graduated

Then again, most people are picky about there jobs.. in my opinion, money is money, you need it to survive... you don't really have much choice of jobs
