LostInSpace Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 REDMOND, Wash. - Microsoft Corp. said after the bell Thursday that Chairman will transition out of a day-to-day role in the company to spend more time on his global health and education work at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Is this good or bad? I'm not quite sure.

Wolferz Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 I dunno. Microsoft is already a juggernaut thanks to Bill- boy genius-Gates. I don't think it will be stumbling anytime soon, with or without Unkie Bill. He won't be far away I betcha.

Bill Gates led the company from half a programmers prospective and half a business prospective. The logical next pick to become Chairman is Steve Ballmer, and frankly, I shiver at the thought of him doing more than just the finances.
