Guest quake60 Posted May 10, 1999 Report Posted May 10, 1999 For all you BC fans out there this is Quake60, commander of the Doomsday-X. I am here on a mission. I am recruiting people for a fleet for the upcoming BC3020AD. My fleet is gonna be called: The Fallen ones. We are gonna be a rogue fleet out to defend our honor. If you want to join just post it.------------------ Quake60 -Doomsday-X will sweep the galaxy-
LordDavid Posted May 10, 1999 Report Posted May 10, 1999 Hmm, sounds a wee bit like us Insurgents, eh?-David
Guest Ron Wallin Posted May 10, 1999 Report Posted May 10, 1999 Yes, LD, it does. I see no problem with you getting some people together and forming a group (read friends that play together online, not a battle group), quake60. However, this is NOT quake multiplayer and we do not recognize any sort of clan structure. There are a specific number of recognized fleets in existance. The time for creating new orginizations has come and gone. You are more than welcome to band together with players as you wish, but you are NOT authorized to simply create fleets on a whim. If you want to be recognized as being part of a fleet other than GALCOM Prime (your fleet association by default) then you need to sign on with one of the existing groups.Like most things, I'm sure this won't be a permanent situation. As 3020 grows with popularity and larger number of players go online there's likely going to be more chances to create new fleets. This will be up to the SC or possibly DeSylva.Until then, quake60, I suggest you read up on the existing fleets and join the ranks. You can work your way up to a position of leadership and perhaps be assigned a group of ships (the best place for this type of structure is the Wraiths under the command of Cmdr. Londono). However, unless you can prove you know the game extremely well, that won't happen for a good while.Good luck.Cmdr. Akira
Belial Posted May 11, 1999 Report Posted May 11, 1999 How does one go about joining existing fleets? This may sound like a dumb question, but I thought Wraith was Tac's, and i can't find a link. I wouldn't mind joining one o' them fleets. I mean, I realize there's the roster section, but does entering in "wraith" there make one a wraith? Thanks. Guest Antti Junkkari Posted May 11, 1999 Report Posted May 11, 1999 Yea I was pretty sure no more fleets were accepted.------------------ Cmdr Junkkari at GCV-Karhu Orion Fleet Leader www.orionf.pp.fi icq: 2506142 "If you want peace, you must prepare for war.."
Guest Posted May 11, 1999 Report Posted May 11, 1999 When you register your name in the Cmdr Roster you get to choose which fleet you wish to belong to Belial.Selecting "Wraith" makes you a member of Wraith Fleet, selecting Insurgent makes you a target... err.. Insurgent I mean. *g* Hmm.. the link to my site is missing from the Links page here (wonder why..hehe).Check the thread "Stilletto Online" for open positions in the Wraith Fleet.Fleet Leader Daniel "Tac" Londo├▒o GCV Usagi =Wraith Fleet= http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Harbor/5297/wraith/index.htm' target=new>Wraith Fleet HQhref> "Hard, Fast, Furious... First!"
Guest Ron Wallin Posted May 13, 1999 Report Posted May 13, 1999 Hmmm.... haven't checked in a while, but the las tally had the targets outnumbering the... well, everyone... Then again, I'd rather have quality over quantity Anyway, I've got just one more day of finals, and then its on to a major recruiting push for the Insurgents Cmdr. Akira Insurgent One (for now )
Guest Posted May 13, 1999 Report Posted May 13, 1999 Hmm.. lets see...Prime+Orion+ISS+Wraith > Insurgency(but of course, the day when the Galcom Fleets finally get the paperwork done to decisevely tackle the "Insurgent Problem" will a be few seconds before the Big Crunch at the end of the Universe...sometimes I think you Insurgents have it easy hehe).
Guest Antti Junkkari Posted May 13, 1999 Report Posted May 13, 1999 Is there a paperwork we should get done?? Wow.Never heard of it ------------------ Cmdr Junkkari at GCV-Karhu Orion Fleet Leader www.orionf.pp.fi icq: 2506142 "If you want peace, you must prepare for war.."
Guest Antti Junkkari Posted May 13, 1999 Report Posted May 13, 1999 I don't know anything about it. I deny. Like that? ------------------ Cmdr Junkkari at GCV-Karhu Orion Fleet Leader www.orionf.pp.fi icq: 2506142 "If you want peace, you must prepare for war.."
Guest Ron Wallin Posted May 13, 1999 Report Posted May 13, 1999 Hmm... Interesting point, TAC. I wasn't referring to everyone on the whole, but as far as individual fleets are concerned, we had the largest membership. But your comment does bring up the fact that you're concerned about our growing numbers. Why else would you equate my comment in that way? Fear is a wonderful thing Hehe, just a little posturing for fun there . Anyway, I just did a little unofficial count on the list and it looks like the Insurgents have 62 registered members. That's enough BC's in one region to bring anyone's computer to the 1fps level Which means, TAC, that an all out offensive would take so long that most GALCOM commanders would simply lose interest and leave! (how do you like that twisted logic?)If you have the time, I'd like to see a count from the other Fleet Leaders posted here. Thanks.Cmdr. Akira
